  1. Ok so I do like the look of the new strips but after hearing that they will not be on sale in the club shop and are not available until August I'm Dissapointed by the lack of info and the time it's taken to inform the fans. We have a large crowd attending tonight with many hundreds going next week to Romania who would like to purchase a new strip or even both like I would have done. Im not telling people how to do their job but I working in advertising and consider myself pretty good at my job and my knowledge of the industry is vast so please don't take this rant the wrong way but....... why close one of the main revenue streams buy only selling at JD shops? The passing traffic the club gets on match days and also tourists makes the club shop an ideal place to sell our kits! Surely JD and the club could work out a percentage scheme for any Carbrini kits sold in our club shop? i really think that this should be reviewed because we should be looking to grow and maximise our revenue streams not narrow them! For instance when some one is down at the stadium buying a season ticket or a match day ticket they may want to buy a strip but if there's none around and they can't be arsed going over to JD Sports we then see a potential sale go down the river! As for the August release I'm flabbergasted! It's nearly winter time in Scotland by then and people will have been on their holidays so why not think about this months ago and get a kit out when most of the fans will be parading it about town in the summer months! dissapointed

  2. I'll probably get shot down for this but here goes. The OP contains so many assumptions that it makes much of the rest a bit of a fairly scatter-gun rant, which to be fair, he acknowledges. I'd be stunned if the club didn't tell fans where and how to purchase kit when the details are confirmed. As far as information and the imparting of it goes, the club is in a position where it can only go public when it is absolutely sure of the information it has, otherwise the label of "second rate amateurs" gets chucked around by the habitually disgruntled and the marketing of the club gets another on line bashing. As far as timing goes, it's only three weeks after the end of the last season, and in normal circumstances an August launch would be perfectly appropriate and acceptable. If anything, there's probably been an under-estimation of last season's achievements when this deal was set up and given that a fair few on here were predicting a season of middling mediocrity is that surprising? No wonder there's a bit of risk aversion when it comes to publicising things. People on here have moaned for years about the relative inaccessibility of the club shop and its limited opening hours but somehow the retail park is worse. Eh? I fully realise that people want a year round town centre presence for the club but at present (as far as I know) the figures just don't stack up and there are other things that have a more pressing demand on a limited kitty. You simply can't have everything. Except two cracking shirts of which I'll have one of each. Size L.

  4. Let's seriously get behind the boys tonight! The atmosphere at the Cup final was one of the best i have ever seen involving ICT. Everytime we get the ball, lets make as much noise as possible. When Astra have the ball, boo furiously. Let's make sure they are rattled and our boys feel 10 feet tall

  5. It wasn't in 2005 - it was 2008. We didn't even win that game - it finished 1-1. It wasn't our first game against European opposition - it was our third. But, good thread!

  6. Overall I thought we played reasonably well with the ball, however as others have said absolutely toothless upfront and very little penetration going forward. The goal came from a poor Draper challenge who had the worst game I have seen from him in a long time. However the resulting freekick was a bread and butter save for any goalkeeper, questions have to be asked as to why a rookie was thrown in at the deep end with an unsettled back four when we have such a reliable and experienced keeper in Esson, especially when he looked very shaky from the offset. Never mind, they were not as good as I expected and definitely nothing to fear for the second leg, onwards to Guirgui!

  7. Foran's not been registered to play in the Astra games. Yeah, the BBC article suggests he's available, but it's just ill-researched presumptiveness! From what I can see, he hasn't been included. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2016/clubs/club=88279/squad/index.html He is registered according to that list? As is Owain Fon Williams

  8. county are advertising that their club shop is selling the new kit so imagine we would be the same (fingers crossed). would seem a bit strange to only have it in JD at the retail park. the more places selling the better. also the retail park isn't the most central location for enticing people to buy it. in the run up to the final i think the shop in the city centre was appealing because of its location. how many will just go can't be bothered going out to the retail park.

  9. Sure Cabrini isnt Nike or Adidas, but to be fair Cabrini is far better quality than Errea! Also Cabrini is a subsidory to JD, just like Puma and Sondico are subsidories to Sports Direct so to be totally honest id rather be alligned to a quality designer store than Mike Ashley! But yes this will sadly mean new home and Away shirts every new season at £45 a pop. Imo that is frankly scandilous and i always hoped our club would not join the fan expolitation bandwagon which has galvanised British Football in the last 10 years but hey ho. If i like the shirt i'll buy it, but will not be pressurised into buying it just because it's 'the new one'. Ps. I do like the new home ;)

  10. I hear that Esson was fit and not carrying an injury, so having witnessed the game, I think it was an appalling decision not to play him. Honestly, if you had seen one particular moment in the second half when our new keeper played the ball across the goal... I've rarely seen such a lucky escape! Roberts came on and got booked within no time, Foran didn't have the fairytale comeback that we so dearly wished for. Astra lived up to all of the stereotypes of dirty European team - they were falling over like clowns. Mortally wounded clowns, who recovered in no time, I hasten to add. A harsh lesson in international football. Wedderburn looked far better in middle of park than at left back and Williams did a brilliant job at left back, very reminiscent of Shinnie. All to play for next week!

  12. They are no better than us shame we lost how we did I've never seen a team up here feigning injuries as much shocking and the ref bought it they were falling down with no one round them this ties not over hopefully we can get a goal next week and see how they respond

  13. A football club won't be selling it's own jerseys from it's own shop. Sorry folks, but that's absolute facepalm stuff. That's so preposterous, you literally couldn't make that up.

  14. St Mirren have the same set up so fans can only buy locally in JD and online, this hasn't went down well with their fans.

  15. I agree with what you are saying Davie and I'm never one to bash the club or anyone working for them. The he issue I have with the JD sports deal is that we are only offering fans one route to buy kit which is through JD when we should be using them AND the club shop to maximise our customer base! The overheads it takes to run the shop won't be that much and as I said above we will have fans buying match day tickets who can buy merchandise from the same shop so it's a benefit to both the club and the punters. I beleive the the delay in the release is probably more JD's than ours but I'm just Dissapointed that we may have lost out on extra revenue due to the August release and that one of our biggest gates tonight where many casual / new fans will be in attendance with a wallet full of cash and no new ICT kit to buy!

  19. This seems to be a recurring theme with the club. We've come a long way but we are still miles behind when it comes to marketing etc. we are at an all time high in regards to exposure and it seems a shame to waste it.

  20. To be fair the Aberdeen game would be appealing but so is ours. I'm a bit disappointed the BBC or even STV aren't interested in showing these games, after a few weeks off fans are dying to see a game and I would certainly watch a European match involving a Scottish side if it was available. What you need to ask yourself is would you watch the Aberdeen v Rijeka match? If you wouldn't there's no point moaning that our game isn't being showed.

  21. Seemingly he played as a trialist for Dunfermline tonight in their closed doors friendly with Queens Park!

  22. Couldn't help but notice that Owain Fon Williams has new followers on twitter...namely David Raven, Greg Tansey & James Vincent. I think we have a new goalie...

  23. I think Roberts is more of a midfielder, so maybe swap him and Christie? I think he could be more of a threat, I think Lopez will start though because it will be him or Calum Ferguson as they are our 2 strikers, roll on 7:45pm tomorrow! Absolutely buzzing, never again will we have our first game in Europe and I can always say I was there no matter what happens, I really hope we can get something from the game, that would really just top everything

  24. Don't know if anyone else has read the comments of the Astra manager, but unless he's bluffing, he is under the impression that we are a long ball team who rely on set pieces. He maybe in for a shock if the team get the progressive passing game going.

    • Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Hopes amongst the Caley Jags support were at rock bottom ahead of this one with the threat of relegation looming large. With all hands to the pumps, Shaw, Boyes and Ujdur were brought back into the squad whilst not really 100% fit. Shaw started as did Pepple and Boyes with Billy Mckay, Lawal and Danny Devine dropping to the bench. Cammy Harper was given the Captain's armband today. It's a daunting task going to the lions den to face title favourites but underdog is our preferred tag. Anyway, 252 of them turned up at Tannadice in eternal hope and Duffy heightened the intensity only for Louis Moult to level things up. That's how it ended, a result we would have bitten your hand off before kick off.

    • Inverness CT 1-2 Ayr United - Report
Having sat through one of the worst games for many a year there is little to hope for now apart from Arbroath to keep losing because we certainly appear to find it difficult to win. We have no game changers in our squad and our manager is playing the wrong type of anti-football to help our cause. Big Dunc thought we were the better team. Pleeeeeaaase, give me a break! We were second to everything and Ayr were always one step ahead of us after the first three minutes. SHOCKER springs to mind.

    • Inverness CT 0-0 Airdrieonians - Report
These two sides looked as though they could play for the whole of March without scoring. In terms of opportunities, the hosts probably shaded it, but when we did miss the first defender, crosses invariably went behind the incoming strikers. On the one occasion we got on the end of the ball Billy Mckay's flicked header was cleared away from goal by Kanayo Megwa.
Not the worst 0-0 draw ever, but scoring opportunities were at a premium. Neither keeper was overly troubled and this game had scoreless written all over it given the evidence of the first twenty minutes.

    • Inverness CT -V- Airdrieonians - Preview
Promoted Airdrie are sitting in fifth place in the table, just below the play-off places with former Caley Jag Nikolay Todorov getting amongst the goals and he will provide a big test for our central defence. We have found Airdrie a difficult proposition at times this season but we did win the last home encounter against them.

    • Morton 0-2 Inverness CT - Report
What a start for Inverness and Billy Mckay, who answered his abusers from last week by opening the scoring in the second minute, firing into the top corner after an assist from Cammy Harper. Robbie Muirhead looked to respond but Mark Ridgers was equal to his effort in the fifth minute. Ten minutes before the interval Sean McAllister curled in a low free kick from the edge of the box to double our advantage and open his scoring account at Inverness. Plenty of bookings but no further scoring saw Inverness pick up a vital three points in the relegation battle although we still remain in ninth spot but only two points from Dunfermline in fifth.
