  1. FFS Ritchie! Another defeat, not a surprise as we don't do clean sheets, the only positive is it was 1-0. We needed changes from Sat as Brad and King were terrible, but Anier in the starting 11! Two up front against Aberdeen yet One up front v Kilmarnock! Before the game Ritchie was talking up Anier "he saw a glint in his eye", "he had a great game for Estonia" and to round it all off he was "MOM against County" (really). Anier has been hopeless, he is good at fouling and getting caught offside end off.... He brings on Fisher and Ebbe - yet on Sat Ebbe can't get on and Fisher is not even on the bench. He drops McCart who has performed better than Warren, he hasn't the bottle to drop Warren who scores the winner for the DONS! Against Killie, Laing was wasted in front of the defence, Draper played out of position - is Ritchie pulling the names out of a hat these days. Against St Johnstone I suggest: Fon Williams McNaughton, Laing, McCart, Tremarco Polworth, Tansey, Draper, Mulraney Mckay, Fisher 3 point on Sat or we are doomed!

  2. There are plenty of inexperienced managers who do pretty well in their first job, because they have an aptitude for it. The kindest I can be about Foran is to say that there is, after almost a full season, no evidence that has got what it takes to be a good manager. He inherited a decent mid table team with a solid core and quite a few players of top 6 calibre. His task was to form a new attacking spearhead, which he did by playing a lumbering forward upfront on his own. The board backed him fully and dug deep in January to bring in Mckay in particular, but to little avail. In a league of mostly mediocre sides, we have won only 4 games out of 31, whilst also being embarrassed in both cups. I just can't imagine that there is any manager in British professional football who could have done a worse job.

  3. Can't really see us making top 6 now!

  4. Another spin of the random selection wheel. Fisher on the bench, would like to see him come and show the boss what he has been missing.

  5. The buck stops with the board who appointed an ex player with absolutely no managerial experience to carry the can for themselves after being allegedly turned over(financially) by John Hughes. Whether JH was still on the payroll after he left I have no idea, but RF appointment was a knee jerk reaction to the boards mismanagement of JH and now we are reaping the rewards.

  6. with well and accies playing tomorrow things will get worse before the weekend. well win and we get cut further from climbing out of the relegation zone altogether. accies win and we are 3 behind well and then 5 behind accies. draw and we are 3 points off accies and 4 off well. Failing to see the sliver lining here sadly. Think the night we lost 3-0 to accies was the moment our season was lost. the home draws to county and killie didn't help, It will take an amazing run post split to see us stay up. hoping to get a post split game over before the season is out. when are the post split fixtures out by the way? Said to the pals on my last trip over i don't care if we are playing celtic at hampden or queen of the south at Palmerston i'll still be coming over as often as i can to follow the ICT. Can't get enough of such a fantastic club

  7. ..Why why why why does Foran persist with Anier he was terrible tonight again, everyone can see it who were there tonight!!!. Ebbe & Fisher on was an instant fix. So start them or at least give them realistic game time FFS

  9. At least County aren't winning anymore. Still, 1-0 down at half time isn't so bad...cue IHE.

  10. Is that 3 CBs again?! No pace and no width, which is what killed us in the long winless streak. I'm desperate to be proved wrong, but that line up is a shambles.

  11. 4-4-2 no bullshit OFW RAVEN WARREN MCART TREMARCO MULRANEY TANSEY DRAPER COLE MCKAY. ANIER or(polworth in behind McKay ) pass the ball, run down the wings, cross it and score. Keep it simple I say.

  12. I see no need to reply really, it's as clear a penalty as you will see. Straight through the player. As for touching the ball. Doesn't matter, he took his legs out in the follow through. You can bet your bottom Canadian Dollar that had it happened at the other end we would have been incensed and writing to Kenny Cameron. I think you are on your own on this one. If you want the definitive rules, ask the SFA, I don't need to prove anything. Penalty. I vilified Brad and Billy King in the report for the penalty. Honest mistake from Brad and this is a quote direct from his own twitter feed, error and all:- Brad Mckay.‏ @brad_mckay Let the all the lads down massively with a stupid challenge today. A point in the end! Boys Dug me out

  13. Are people really claiming Mckay's challenge was anything other than a rash tackle and a stonewall penalty?! Good Lord!

  14. It's about the only thing that hasn't been blamed yet! small k from here on in though, just incase!

  15. Only thing I have to add is that it's Mckay...small "k"...for both Billy and Brad. All those getting it wrong are generating bad joojoo and costing us games.

  16. Your correct. Yes, The ref was poor, but that in no way contributed to us failing to beat a very average Kilmarnock. We didn't do enough yet again. The one decision Madden definitely got right was brad McKays challenge on Jones. Frustrating as it is, It was a clear penalty. Boyd or anyone made no such similar challenge on McKay in the box in my recollection of the game (sadly).

  17. Looks like we lost 1-0 to a 94th minute goal.

  18. Even if he got the faintest of touches it was still a clear penalty. You wouldn't get away with a challenge like that anywhere on the park and McKays reaction said it all. Boo hoo we never got a foul and the ref was rubbish. Every week we come up with a different excuse why we didn't win. Vigurs fault, missing penalties, not getting penalties, terrible refs, martians. There are no excuses, we just haven't performed for the majority of the season. No point in raising your game for Rangers when you can't get going against the likes of Killie and Hamilton.

  19. This is my final word on the penalty incident V Kilmarnock. I finally found my match password in the wastebasket and used it to go to Donald's video again, the video for overseas listeners, and reviewed the incident SEVERAL more times just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Here is what I saw :- In the outfield, quite close to the Caley end of the pitch, Kilmarnock dispossessed our player fairly and then passed the ball forward into open space for his player to get. The Killie player quickly latched on to it and started his run towards the goal. At which point in comes Brad at speed and deliberately went directly for the ball, NOT, the player. In fact, had Brad stayed upright on his feet instead of doing his thing, that player would by now probably be a flat pancake and, yes, that WOULD have been a fair penalty. Brad hit the ball BANG-ON. It bobbled and immediately got tangled up in the Killie player's boots with force and went OFF him and out for a bye kick to ICT. Brad did not appear to hit the player's legs at all with his boots since by then the Killie lad was already airborne AND if the ball had not hit the Killie player at all then it would have gone straight out into touch for a throw-in to Killie. To the doubters :- There is too much at stake here... 2 lost points is a massive downer and this goal could completely ruin our season and relegate us to even think of this being an April Fool's joke. There was no intent whatsoever showing on this video by Brad Mackay to stop, or injure, the Killie player and the tackle was actually fair and well executed. Unless the rules say that a SHORT sliding tackle which is specifically directed at, and gets, the ball is a crime then he is not at fault. Why Brad Mackay is being pilloried by some folks on here is ridiculous and unfair. And so is this penalty award to Killie. Remember that the ball was so close to the moving Killie player's feet that any tackle against the ball would have upended him, regardless. My blunt assessment is that the referee made another blunder just because the attacking player fell down despite the fact that he was never actually touched. I suggest that a link to the incident on video should be put up here so that others can judge the issue for themselves. It's not at all like what some folks imagine. It happened very quickly so, for me to fully appreciate it, I had to focus on different points in the frame each time I re-run it to get the actual full picture. So I have written to Mr. Kenny Cameron asking him to please review the video very carefully and if necessary request the SFA to rescind the goal. I believe this video clearly demonstrates what I claim, above. If you agree you can do the same. Thank you.

  20. I realise Richie is new to this management thing but surely even he knows we'd have a better chance by having eleven players start .

  21. Well, it looks like it is over to you Caley D. for an adjudication. I've used up my "last word". The video I saw was the one for the overseas fans which showed a view from lower down the park on the left side of the players. Doofers Dad said earlier that angles from the BBC show different scenarios. Doofers Dad is a very reflective gentleman and doesn't go in for histrionic remarks, remaining calm and factual. Thus he doesn't claim, for example, as some have done earlier, that Brad "never even touched the ball." DOH! Some folks on here, some of whom should know better, make Smart Alec, abusive comments at the remarks I made but no one has specified the rules regarding penalties and detailed conclusively why it was, in their view, a clear-cut penalty. Their comments are more histrionic than explanatory. Manfer, my specs are fine thank you and my last trip to the ophthalmologist a couple of months ago elicited the following remark "considering your age your sight is remarkable." and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So I now invite you to explain the penalty rules that apply in this case since you clearly feel that my knowledge base on this issue needs updating. Maybe you are right and I look forward to your detailed comments. My point was that he went for the ball and my video shows he got it fair and square and in the way I described it. The other videos on here also show, in plain sight, that Brad did get the ball and then the other player's momentum made him fall over Brad's legs -- NOT his feet which had already passed the Killie player's legs. The Killie boy was not injured in any way so there was NO direct contact, nor deliberate intent to injure, from Brad. These are facts, not emotional reactions. This was an impetuous and harsh decision from a very poor referee and it might easily relegate our team this season. So think about that, true non-swimmer fans, before jumping into a very deep pool without your lifebelt.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...
