  1. That's a really good point which sounds like we possibly deserved all three. Well done team and boss.

  2. We played well. The downside is we should've won the game, we missed some really good chances and need to be clinical when offered opportunities. upside is that we were solid - the only chance that Falkirk created was a header that Ridgers dealt with and Donaldson looked very strong, dealing with everything that came his way. Full backs did well also. In midfield Polworth did well, worked hard and got himself into position to take a few shots. Vigurs was magnificent, used the ball so well, protected it. He was out best player, the Elgin Pirlo. Mulreany also had a good game, especially in the second half, he attacked their full back and had him beaten at will as the game went on. His delivery is still poor although he had a cracking shot that he the post. Up front Baird and Bell worked hard and had some great touched but the ly should've each scored, probably a couple. Finishing is a big weakness. I went into the game expecting abjectness but came out with a bit of hope. There is life in us.

  3. Quite a first post, I smell a sock puppet..... but I'll bite. First of all, this thread is four pages long, I trust you have read everything? Next, as serious as what? I assume you have new evidence to offer? If you have, you must have been in the dugout so either tell us what happened or retreat back to your sock drawer. Are you really comparing the vandalism and intentional destruction of property the threatening and abuse of stewards to a heated exchange? Now I would suggest this thread be closed as a previous poster has indicated charges of assault could be brought, to continue what has become some kind of witch hunt when the matter has been resolved could cause further trouble for the club and this forum.

  5. By all accounts, with five shots on target and hitting the woodwork as well, this sounds like a very different 0-0 draw from the dire performance against Queen of the South a fortnight ago. All in all, away against a Falkirk side boosted by the appointment of a new manager, an encouraging result and performance in the context of this season

  6. What you think is irrelevant because you don't know anything about what happened. Will someone please close this thread, it's just getting stupid now.

  7. I think the point which has been made many times on this redundant thread is, no one knows what happened except those in the dugout. This has been trial by photograph and fodder for the winey, old clique who take every opportunity to spout negative nonsense like spoiled wee boys. (Not aimed at you SP) What I do know is that this event started IN the dugout AFTER LP sat down. Of course all the loyal supporters did not see that but hey, there's photographs right? The matter has been dealt with internally and has been resolved, they are both professionals and understand things happen in the heat of the moment. So how about ending this witch-hunt and getting back to supporting the team? Alternatively, pick up a copy of Fridays Courier and read the letter from the Chairman.

  9. while ICT isn't the biggest supported club the supporters i know are loyal to the core and wouldn't walk away because of the clubs current state and reading some comments here that some have walked due to it being depressing/hard to watch then fair enough its your money/ your choice no one forces you to go. But for those that still do i consider them supporters. Back in 2015 it was the dream season for me i got to watch my Local team here Glentoran lift the Irish cup gaining European football and a much needed cash injection and then 2 weeks later coming over and watching ICT lift the Scottish cup. Fast forward a short time to the 2016/17 season i sat week in and week out at glens matches seeing us get stuffed by teams we used to dominate, get knocked out of cups by pub teams that got chinned every other week and listen on the radio while ICT was also on the end of a drubbing. Come May time ICT got relegated and the glens finished a lowly 9th of a 12 team league in what was the worst season in the clubs history. Never once did i consider walking away from either side 4 ICT games i came over for that season was 2 losses (county in august and Dundee November) and 2 wins (Elgin scottish cup and Motherwell the day we went down) an expensive hobby following 2 teams but good or bad i stick by my teams and many times the football results have ruined my weekend and left me in a bad mood into the following week it's something i love doing and no matter how tough it gets or how far we fall i'll still be there for when the good times come again it makes them feel that much better

  10. Happy to get the point despite the moans about missed chances - at least they were created! Very pleasing to hear there were improvements and a bit of fight in the team today. It wasn't going to be easy playing them on their own turf with their new manager in place so a big well done to all for the performance - Rome wasn't built in a day, we'll get there...

  13. I think most of us would have taken that result before the game. Sounds like a good performance. Looking forward to reading the comments of those at the match. OK, we probably should have won it, but probably our best league performance of the season judging by the stats. Onwards and upwards!

  14. Maybe not half way but we have certainly made a start. Robbo needs to be given at least until the end of November to see whether he can build on that start. If he can, and I'm sure we all hope he can, well and good. If not, we can't afford to make the same mistake as last season. At the very least though, the manager has bought himself more time and deserves the right to be able to make use of that time for now.

  23. I've flown Flybe once from Edinburgh to Belfast and thought they were fine. Perhaps it depends what you're used to though. I'm a bit of a penny pincher and always go economy, but if you're more used to sitting in first class away from the commoners while you stuff your face with caviar and drinking down champagne perhaps you wouldn't enjoy it so much...

  24. I quite often like to read Dougal's posts since they often contain some very interesting and surprisingly apposite remarks. I've warmed to the guy as time has worked it's magic. He tries very hard to explain his feelings and his views on what he sees which is fine and dandy with me. Not much wrong with that at all is there, IMHO? And it seems that he doesn't often get much praise or recognition at all for having the courage to do this. He's not pompous, not arrogant and rarely if ever abusive. So, all power to his elbow, I say and I think we should view Dougal as a very interesting challenger to our personal entrenched points of view. We always need the darkness as a contrast to being able to see our own personal light and maybe revealing the truth. But, Chas, please do have a good look in the mirror and review some of the content of many of your lengthy posts from your past before you point the fickle finger of fate at Doughty Dougal. Or he might turn round and address YOU as Chippy, Chastening, Charlie from the land of Know-it-All? We are all on here to find some emotional joy in expressing our opinions on whatever the subject is and to maybe throw another light on the subject of discussion. So the last thing we should be doing is wasting our time in trying even harder to trash the other person's posts, feelings or viewpoints. Just let's allow these latter points to fall on our own non fertile ground if for no other reason than the fact that it might just make us a bit more tolerant and remember that none of us are perfect or have all the answers. Except S. P. of course.

  26. In many ways I hope not. I’m sure there are loads of us that met him and I really liked him when I spoke to him. Even if you bumped into him in Costa or at the Millburn Chinese he would always have a Good natter and came across as a really decent guy. I hope for him and his young family he finds something that he enjoys as he always came across well

  28. And none more nonsensical than this. Just how does that square with the post below that you posted just 12 hours ago? I think there have been some very good replies because people are opening up about the way the feel about what is going on and what motivates them to attend. It's a good thread and we we should be grateful to Dougal for posting it in his own inimitable way.

  30. Thanks Milescott for pointing out what everyone seems to have missed while piling on. Kellacher is a coach, he has coached the team through relegation to near relegation again in two seasons, him and Rice need to go. I wasn't at the game so didn't hear what was said but in anycase, he is a coach and should never say anything to the players during a game except positive enforcement. You have cleared up the mystery of why a shy, pleasant young man should publically explode with such rage, and if indeed he said or did anything to warrant "disgraceful behaviour Kellacher," from the crowd, his desk should be cleared and its contents left in a box at the front door on Monday morning. Like I said, I wasn't at the game, I was at the QOS match in the main stand and like everyone, endured a dull 90 mins with an overall poor performance. But that's not the reason I didn't go, I am a supporter and cheer on the team at every opportunity, good or bad. It was because of the morons who seem dispersed throughout the main stand who think its ok to shout abuse at players far less support the team. The abuse is usually aimed at Polworth or Vigors and this is just not on. Some may make the argument that they have paid money and are entitled to shout abuse, that is just not true. No one has the right to shout abuse and if you do it to your own players, shame on you. No, I didn't go to the game because several times I had to talk myself of the ledge just so I did not go to one of these abusers and point out the error of their ways. If you are one of those people, stay at home, shout at the dog, do whatever but leave the stands to those who go and support the team. I will be back next home game but I will not sit in silence anymore and I would urge anyone who has their game spoiled by some idiot to stand up and say something because I will. These people need to know their behaviour is not welcome. Vigors may be in the twighlight of his career and may not have much option than to play out the end of his days under a torrent of bile but that is not the case for Polworth. He was out of favour with Hughes and played out of position, Foran always played him out of position, right-back against Elgin FFS? He was trapped into a three-year deal on a fraction of the money others get and the club including Rice/Kellacher have done little to nurture and bring him on. So when another club comes in and makes an offer in the next two windows, don't be surprised when he grabs his kit and leaves and who can blame him. The way he has and is being treated is disgraceful and he will be driven out of the club by the "supporters." Sad thing is, that would be the best thing for him.

  31. Why should fans get off the managers back? If he can't take it he shouldn't be here. The achievements you've listed were all more than a decade ago. All he's offered since his arrival is signing total duds and calling the team useless. What is he doing about it? You are right, he's here and, as with Foran and Kenny Cameron, he has a backer in the boardroom. The fact that we're also paying for previous mistakes means he's probably unsackable. He might resign I suppose, but I think that's unlikely.

  32. I'm not surprised that the team are frustrated and angry. For more than two seasons we've had managers who don't take responsibility and slate the players every time something goes wrong. Off the top of my head the squad have been told they think they are better than they are, that they aren't real men, they aren't tough, they don't want to make sacrifices, they are bad apples. The managers saying this haven't signed any players who have added to the squad, in fact they've added players who are noticeably worse. They haven't been able to coach or make tactical adjustments to get results. They have dropped or refused to play some of our best players for non-footballing reasons while signing utter dross. It must be extremely frustrating to play through that and have the manager insult you continually. It's a sign of a manager completely out of his depth - we saw it last season with Foran and we are seeing it again with Robertson. Sadly we are in the same situation we were in with Foran, a manager so close to figures at the club that he's nigh on impossible to get rid of. worth saying that Kellacher is a good coach and works well with the squad. I understand he took a lot of the slack at various points last season and it could be that he was just in the wrong place yesterday.

  36. I do not think it is time to shut down this thread - serious questions remain unanswered by the board - why has their " mission statement " on bad behaviour not been adhered to - at the time it was welcomed & unequivocal in its meaning - any behaviour of this type would result in a stadium ban . Some of the younger fans have been banned from home & away games ... for what ? -- certainly nothing as serious as this . A statement from the board should be forthcoming - to make absolutely no comment is quite frankly bizarre - they need to say something . Instead of banning the young fans why not take them for a game of golf & then say it has been dealt with internally !

  37. The only positive I really see is another clean sheet, but we need points. Whether we're home or away. Yes we created a lot of chances but we didn't win again. Just clutching at straws saying that it's a good away point, with chances created. They're struggling as well. If we're creating that many chances we need to be ruthless. It's as much 2 points dropped as a point gained for me.

  39. One of my former golfing buddies was a junior in a law firm in London in the 1960s. The firm acted for Peter Sellers, who was madly protective and controlling over Britt Ekland. Sellers used to spend a fortune on international phone calls to the lawyers - not to her - asking what she was up to, and wanted her kept under surveillance at all time (the law firm refused). Anyway, one day he had to deliver some legal papers to him. The door was answered, as in your wildest dreams, by Britt Ekland wearing a silk negligee and obviously little else. "Peter's away", she purred, "Would you like to come in?". Reader, he said "No thanks!". (And is still happily married to this day.)

  40. Why do you think the team and management were out playing golf? Do you seriously think JR said **** football, lets all go and play golf instead? Have you ever worked so hard youve thrown up? I would even suggest the players work harder in a morning session than you do in your 40hrs a week!

  41. I'm probably as bad as anyone at rising to Dougal's bait, but would still observe that, given the complete mince in most of his OPs, it's remarkable how long some of the threads he starts actually get. It's just that the temptation to knock down the patent nonsense you're inevitably confronted with becomes quite strong.

  42. Scotland international, top striker, won promotion previously for Inverness. He has nothing to prove, unlike most of his players. Our fans need to give us all a break and get off the guys back. He and we need this like a hole in the head. Oh boo hoo hoo, he slagged off the players. If they can't take it, they shouldn't be here. It's easy to forget the blemishes of guys who were legends here. Let's not forget that they too had their critics and poor moments. Robbo has not suited some folk since he came back. Well tough, he's here, let's back him until the board see fit to remove him.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.
