  1. Very sad news today hearing about the death of Terry's son. Thoughts are with the Butcher family.

  2. There is a significant amount going on behind the scenes with areas such as the UHI’s plans and linking into the IDYFA network. This is being led by Danny and started before his appointment as COO and is looking to progress within the challenges of Project Brave. One of the main sponsors has also offered logistical assistance in getting local teams involved in match days and means to progress this are also happening.

  4. They played together at Dumbarton. It wasn't pretty.

  5. Totally agree with the Mariner, what we need is a bit of stability. A few good breaks would help as well.

  6. Agreed on that. Have Warren and Donaldson played together as a two man central defence this season? Could be our strongest pairing.

  7. Although I admit his best is now behind him, I rate Garry Warren as just our best ever acquisition, a real star for us over the years. I hope he sees out his career with us with dignity, whether it be at centre half or wherever. At least we know he will give his all.

  8. Not sure it would be as simple as that, who would replace him? How long would they get? JR took over at a very difficult time and he didn't bring a magic wand. The confidence of the remaining team was shot to bits, battle weary from relegation and headless chicken management. Players were brought it on a small budget so it will take time to turn things around. Hopefully the last two games are something to work on and gain some traction.

  9. Tad on the rough side today but a thoroughly enjoyable trip yesterday with the Lillies Must admit it was not a traditional day out what with all the dressing up and costumes etc but I guess it is nearly Halloween Everbody reasonably friendly although there were a few complete belters travelling but what support doesn't Despite the 5-0 score line still enjoyed the game but in all honesty it was all over as a contest by half time, Clach keeper took a sore one and was rushed off to hospital so I hope he is on the road to recovery Strong anti merger rhetoric amongst the support and local journalism which they were quite open with Not sure I will make a habit of it but it would have still have been a better trip than the women's guild bus to Falkirk Lord Provost Dougal

  10. Agreed! I think this is a serious question. Id consider myself a diehard and the folks around me the same. I literally had to drag myself there on Saturday. I bitterly regret renewing my season tickets as it just feels a waste of money. I cant believe how I now feel about the club which are the love of my life since I was 12 (ok in 2 incarnations). On chatting to others re this on Sat I have come to the conclussion that I attend nowadays due to my close group of friends doing the same. I agree with Kingsmills that staying away just makes things worse all round. However I just cant explain how Ive come to feel like this. Tbh If youd told me 2 years ago things would be this way Id have laughed and laughed! Normally Id be saying better days ahead but truthfully Im not even convinced of that anymore.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...
