A huge part of the problem with referees is that they have never kicked a ball in anger, ever. I believe Willie Collum refereed from the age of 15/16 and boy does it show, he is ripe for conning simply because he has never been in the position of a player. I don't know if he is still our top rated ref but is frankly an embarrassment to the profession. The fact he is well paid for such appalling performances in important matches just adds insult to injury. Where I will defend refs is on the subject of dissent, if you are going to chirp at the ref for 90 minutes or indulge in sarcastic hand clapping at decisions, you will get booked and will be given nothing in the game, they are after all only human, no one likes to be told how to do their job nor receive sarcastic applause for their decisions be they right or wrong.1 point

The winners of our end of year raffle were as follows: W Murray, R Bain, G Cowie, G Crosbie, J Tomney, E McIver, R Webb, G Gordon Jnr. Thanks to everyone who supported us by donating prizes and by buying tickets. We made £657 and plan another raffle in the Spring.1 point

Neither. I policed it and trust me I was shitting myself and I had body armour and riot gear. We don't live in a nice fluffy fantasy world where everyone says hello to each other there. There is a thing called human nature and this is where the problem lies. Mix alcohol into that and you get a very big problem. Every match has the potential of violence that is what the stewards are employed to stop and allowing opposing fans in the same section of the same stand is ludicrous. If God forbid something happens then guess what the club is at fault for allowing the situation to occur and culpable as they have not taken sufficient steps to ensure that persons safety. Then big civil claim big payout. Then where will the club be. Is it worth the small price to pay to segregate the fans. NO.1 point

Usual twisting of the post. This was nothing to do with regular away supporters , of which the vast majority always behave, have banter etc. This is our club placing away " supporters " who don't know how to behave- beside others who do and the possible consequences if something happened. Offensive remarks like worrying about the children - who said that ?, snowflakes and Tory voting, cruise holidaying people in main stand is utterly pathetic. We pay our tickets too and support the team.1 point

The moaning was for the fact we should've scored more than 4 and the booing at the end was firmly directed at John Beaton after most of the players had left the pitch.1 point

People sit in the Main Stand because they don't like to make a noise so it's probably expected their jimmies are rustled by some guy from Livingston actually supporting their team by vocally encouraging them.1 point

My son used to do work as a steward at both ICT and Ross county. ICT no training grab a jacket and cap and stand over there, only because he was familiar with stadium could he help people. Certainly no instruction how to deal with aggressive fans. County was better given some instructions and told what to do if the was trouble also given a pie and drink in Dingwall.1 point

Warren was surprisingly decent on Saturday although I can remember at least one of his trademark late tackles Not sure if Seedorf would do any better especially at CB.1 point

Its about the potential for violence and given there are young children in there too, it is not an acceptable situation. You may be an old, fat lad with nothing to be concerned about but what about the mother with two kids? A better idea would be to close the North stand and move everyone into the Main stand and keep the opposition segregation.0 points

I’m sure little Prudence and little Rupert will be fine and make it to their next croquet lesson unscathed. Also for what it’s worth, I’m not a ‘fat, old lad’. Rather a young, slim, handsome lad. ?-1 points

Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.-

Queens Park -V- Inverness CT - Preview

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.-

Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

Inverness CT -V- Arbroath - Preview

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...-

Partick 1-0 Inverness CT - Report
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
Big Trouble Down the Dump: Billy Mckay was back in the starting XI along with Samson Lawal with Pepple dropping to the bench and Shaw out for the season. Both teams had seven on the bench with Roddy MacGregor getting a rare seat. Scott Robinson scored the only goal of the game just before the break. Inverness were reduced to ten men when Cammy Kerr was sent off just after an hour. Despite creating more opportunities, the points just evaded us.
