  1. Pepple ducking out of that header
  2. That was wild. On another night we could have won that 4 or 5-1. Still think our biggest issue is a lack of midfielders running past Samuel when Mckay drops deep, it means we have to keep going sideways and letting the opponent get organised. Thought Mcallister was outstanding once the 2nd half got going. His ability to carry the ball could be useful in the final 2/6 matches now that he's fit again.
  3. Our last wins v Ayr and Raith also came with Carson and Welsh (Raith only) playing. Read into that what you will.
  4. I'm not calling for the managers head however the longer things go on the worse we get. If you remove the new manager bounce where we picked up 12 points from 7 matches we've then picked up just 11 points from our next 12 which is relegation form. Since we were able to make signings on January our point per game has been decreasing, we've come out of January with a weaker squad than the one that started the month. The board and manager need to take the blame for that.
  5. Other than losing a late goal tonight couldn't have gone any worse. We absolutely had to win at least one of these games against Arbroath and Dunfermline and we've not done that. We are nailed on for 9th. A lopsided squad with a manager who is resistant to change.
  6. -Play OK -Lead or level into the 2nd half -Make the same subs every week that unsettle us/sub Billy Mckay -concede goal(s) -RINSE AND REPEAT. It would be nice if we could show that we're learning week on week but we're not. That goes for the players and the manager.
  7. Correct. However, this means building good relationships with local businesses to secure additional commercial income or benefits. Not shafting them with side projects that go bust leaving them out of pocket. It means looking into membership schemes, hiring out of facilities on a more regular business - the nuts and bolts of running a football club. It is not pursuing risky projects which take money and time. Projects which are diverting time and resource of people working for the club.
  8. Highland Council covering themselves in glory yet again. If I understand it correctly certain people were asked to recuse themselves due to potentially having a conflict of interest (e.g. having been to a match in the home end). The council are now calling it in due to not enough inverness people voting. Pretty shambolic and bordering on shady. Regardless, I'm utterly fed up of our chairman and CEO and these projects. I wish they would just concentrate on the nuts and bolts of running a football club rather than than these expensive and time consuming schemes. The concert company was a fiasco and this is potentially heading the same way.
  9. Our January transfer dealings looking more and more bizarre by the match. So much focus spent on bringing in new defenders when that clearly wasn't the problem. We have one of the best defensive records in the division and the players brought in are no improvement on what we had. We still have no creativity with the likes of Roddy Mcgregor not getting a kick. You have to question what on earth the actual plan is.
  10. Slightly underwhelming. He couldn't get a game in the National League so struggling to see what he might add other than being another body in the squad. Overall I think we're relying on far too many loans. I can only think the plan is to use these short term signings as a stop gap to a total overhaul in the summer.
  11. In isolation these signings seem to be fine but when you look at the squad you have to question what's going on on. We now have far too many defenders (10) so I can only assume that there will be a couple more out the door.
  12. Interesting one this. Our previous signings from the Irish Premiership flopped but this is a different scenario altogether. Curtis Allen and Darren Mcauley had been playing Irish League for a few years and we didnt have any competition. Ben has just turned 21 and spent 5 years at Brighton before coming back to NI in the summer so he's had a good grounding. He's attracted a fair bit interest and a few teams have contacted Cliftonville to express their interest so I would have my doubts we could get him. Perhaps Big Dunc's name might be a big enough pull but he's certainly an interesting prospect.
  13. Sickened to lose that one so late on. We looked really organised, some excellent possession football but absolutely no cutting edge. We desperately need more pace in midfield and in the forward areas. If we get that we'll be fine. It was particularly grating to hear Billy Dodds talk about our poor bench and the lack of options to change the game considering its his squad. Not convinced on throwing Carragher in from the start, think he was culpable for the goal along with Ridgers who went down in stages. Gutting to lose but it highlights the urgency on bringing in a couple of additional midfield/attacking players.
  14. Hopefully Lodivica and Sheridan are on the way out. The more I think about the Lodivica signing the more bizarre I find it. I'd be suspicious that it's part of some kind of fraudulent scheme. He was hopeless on trial and had just signed for a new club yet we persevered with it anyway. Truly odd.
  15. That starting line-up feels like the manager was sending a message to the board. Very much a subtext of 'look at what i have to work with, sort it out'.

    Dodds Sacked

Correct decision. Results excluding the Scottish Cup over the last 10 months just weren't good enough and there was an inevitably about this. Its a shame to see anyone lose their jobs like this but it had to be done for the good of the club. The problem is that do any of us trust those in charge to get the next manager decision correct?
  17. The first goal was horrendous goalkeeping, really poor mistake from Cammy and i dont think he moved his feet well for the 3rd either. I think he's in a tough position as perennial back up as he hasn't had a proper run in a first team in his entire career. He's barely played 50 competitive matches and he's about to turn 27. He always seems rusty which makes the defence in front of him jittery. I'm not sure who the under 18 keeper is but I'd like to see Cammy get out on loan for 6 months.
  18. I'm currently sitting waiting to go on the 08:15 Easyjet from the international.
  19. Pretty routine win. I wouldn't read too much into the performance, had we needed to we had extra gears to go through. Overall, we played well within ourselves giving all 21 players significant playing time and more importantly no injuries. We raced into an early 2 goal lead with Harper and Duffy the beneficiaries of 2 more excellent Jay Henderson deliveries. We seemed to take our foot off the gas after this with a few players taking an extra touch or just playing at half pace. Multiple changes at half time seemed to impact our rhythm and Dungannon's most dangerous player Scott finishing nicely. This spurred a response and we got the 3rd within a minute through Samuels after a neat move from Carson and Shaw. Ben Woods then somehow contrived to miss an utter sitter, it was pretty much an open goal yet he almost cleared the stand- a remarkable effort. The final 30mins then petered out after the benches were emptied. Some observations from very close up. Cameron Harper was a standout. The main stand was just a few feet from the pitch and he really is some athlete. Great touch too. Austin Samuels is struggling for confidence. Just couldn't get into the game despite his goal and was give grief from a couple of team mates for a lack of effort. David Carson covers every blade of grass. I love his desire and how he empties the tank. I think Steven Boyd will struggle to make the cup final squad if everyone is fit. Nice to see around a dozen ICT supporters at the ground along with some player families. The players and manager were also great with my son, really happy to chat and get photos so that made our day.
  20. Excellent! The eldest Hiro Junior will be with me so that makes 3- that counts as a crowd.
  21. I might to use my imagination for the first 5 minutes as my eldest is at a birthday party and we might have to cut it fine (or more likely we'll make an early exit).
  22. Happy days. Less than an hour down the road for me. At least there will be 1 ICT fan in attendance.
  23. I'm buzzing for this one. I had flights and hotel booked for myself and my eldest straight after the semi. It's his first trip over to Hampden and who knows when we might get here again.
  24. Return of Ridgers and Devine making a big difference with their experience. Hopefully this is a corner turned. Regardless of other injuries a spine of Ridgers, Devine, Welsh and Mckay is very strong for the Championship. If they are fit there should be no excuses for seeing any more of the insipid performances we've seen recently.
