  1. Would like to see Raven back in the team as we do miss him in both defence and attack, with the link up play between him and Doran being superb at times at the beginning of the season. That said, I think Tremarco was our best player v Celtic and has done superbly well since breaking into the team so doesn't warrant being dropped. Williams has been given a fair bit of game time, yet has been pretty invisible the majority of the time and hasn't shone. I'd move Shinnie forward to left wing and make use of the attacking flair he has. Christie should also get more of a run out coming on in say 60 - 70 mins, IMO. I'd go with: Brill Raven Warren Meekings Tremarco Draper Ross Doran Watkins Shinnie Mckay (EDIT) Just remembered Shinnie played left wing for the majority of the 2nd half v Aberdeen. Evidence if need be that we should play him there tomorrow and look to attack them from the start and get an early goal or 4.
  2. Gutted to hear the news about Mikey. A genuine, good guy who is one of the most dedicated that there's been in terms of following the club. Can understand the clubs stance, but Mike was one of the few people I think would merit this gesture. If a minutes silence/applause isn't put in place for before kick off then another idea could be if anyone knows what age he was, could do a minutes applause and have a chant for him during that minute of the game tomorrow?
  3. When did he sign for Liverpool? If he was registered by Liverpool by then he would not appear on a SFA suspension list as he was registered by the FA. There are other players who had moved on to other clubs and it says beside their suspension (Formerly of Club X) so it should still be detailed in this as it is a list of suspensions.
  4. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/Disciplinary/CurrentSuspensions/Season2009/10/May2010/PlayerSuspensions/LOS45(27May).pdf In the above link go to page 5. This shows that on the 27th May 2010 the SFA recognised that Daniel Wilson had a one match suspension to serve in the League Cup. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/Disciplinary/CurrentSuspensions/Season2010/11/July2010/PlayerSuspensions/LOS01(23-JUL).pdf The next link is from the 23rd July 2010 in which going to page 4, Daniel Wilson no longer appears to be banned for one match in this competition by the SFA. Therefore the SFA have recognised by the 23rd July 2010 that his ban has been served. Today they have stated that it was served in a Liverpool v Arsenal tie on the 14th August of the same year, how can this possibly be the case then if they had already removed the ban prior to this date?! This is not any paper or press talk, these links are taken from the SFA's own website. They now have another question to answer to; I hope the club are seeing this and taking note.
  5. Ferben, that would be brilliant! I did say in the post I'm will to pay a decent amount as well for it (there's good reason behind it) which is why I said in the first post I would buy it. If you could let us know that'd be great, cheers!
  6. Might be a longshot but I'm wondering if anyone has a programme, or knows of where I may be able to buy one, from the game vs St Johnstone when we won the 1st Division for promotion to the SPL first time around? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  7. Would like to point out and give a thumbs up to how well behaved the stewards were as well. Here are a few quotes from the men in Hi-Viz from Tuesday night. "If you are looking to stand then please stay in the back 6 rows." "Enjoy the football and your evening." "Keep up the singing lads, I've got Caley on my coupon!" "Safe journey home." Excellent stuff, and helped make it a more enjoyable experience.
  8. Was there last night and agree with all the above comments. Negatives: Arbroath didn't really trouble us that much, 0 shots on target for them sums it up. While not having very much to do our defence didn't look overly solid and can't help but feel if Holmes didn't come off injured he may have caused problems (seem to recall a hat-trick at TCS a few years back). And OTJ was taking free kicks for some reason. Pleasing to get a first clean-sheet and win of the season though and hopefully we can build from here. Positives: We did the simple things well. Passed it about and made Arbroath work and created some good openings. Midfield worked well. Billy McKay ran himself into the ground trying to create space, but didn't have too much joy. We could and should have had some more goals but for some fine keeping from Mr Bullock. Shane had as good a game as I've seen from him before, he looked bright and had the confidence to try and take people on. For me it would've been a close call between him and A Shinnie for MOTM, Shinnie's 2 good finishes won us the game though and he just pips him to it. We are in the top seeds for the next round and cannot draw another SPL team, sincerely hope we avoid Sevco though. Tony Bullock was getting the banter with the fans behind the goals in both halves and takes the stick really well and is a good laugh to be fair to him. I had what seemed to be a battered whale and chips after the game and it was very enjoyable.
  9. Agreed with all these points from Renegade. McKay has put in a very good shift in both games against Elgin and Coventry, but he NEEDS support and I think he will grab a few goals this season. Oswell certainly looks like he has the potential to do well for us too. Took his goal well and almost had another but for a great save. All in all a good display today, with some good, passing football being played too. Feeling positive for the season ahead, just hoping we can stay injury free.
  10. We've had a lot nicer tops, it's ok though. Not usually a regular buyer of shirts whenever they come out but will definitely be getting this one at the weekend, more than ever now the club needs our full backing in terms of money and support.
  11. Very sorry to hear about the passing of a fellow fan at today's game. Not the sort of thing you expect at a football match, and such a shame to think that someone has lost possibly a partner, father, brother and friend. Thoughts and condolences go out to all friends and family at this hard time, the result itself pales into insignificance. R.I.P.
