Not like you to be so cynical doofers dad but I think some of what you say is true. There is also the sfa pushing forward their youth agenda via Mark Wolte and no one appears to be allowed to speak up or criticise. Its ok for the central belt clubs as they are near enough to others to arrange bounce games but for us our geography makes life so much more difficult. No teams want to come up here for bounce games so our boys always have to travel. I wonder if clubs will be allowed to field over age players in this league?

Scotty do you not think that ICT are possibly one of the teams most equiped to manage with less money coming in? I do acknowledge that the tv money is really important to most clubs but the majority of our players are not on long deals, we dont have a huge staff and we also will have derby game money coming in next season possibly more than rangers bring in without the hassle. I am prepared to acknowledge that you are right that the game and clubs would look a lot different to now.I also believe that switching to summer football could still bring in a telly deal though probably not on the terms available now.

Think the point is that this rule is being brought in as a way of keeping Rangers in the SPL. The SPL are in a difficult place and they know it! Gretna were never going to need to reapply to the SPL due to their circumstances and Motherwell were the first to do this (I think) and nobody really thought through what was going to happen in the future. Rangers are being treated differently because of the tv deal etc but think the SPL think this shows justice is being seen to have taken place. Dont think many are going to buy it myself but there you go. For sporting integrity it would be better if Rangers took their punishment and dropped down the leagues for a few years but we all know it aint gonna happen. Also I think the administrators are using this as an excuse not to name their preferred bidder as they are not really happy with what is on the table so the timing means they can blame someone else ie the SPL allowing them more time to work things out. (also earning them further money). I do think that if normal service is resummed too soon a lot of folk will give up watching SPL football but as someone has already said most of us will continue to support ICT as our team.

Having seen the replay of the penalty I still feel the same as I did in real time. That is that it could have been given but very glad it wasn't. However the penalty they got two weeks ago was undeserved so as usual what goes around comes around maybe.

When I was in p7 we moved to Telford Street and my uncle took me to see caley play hearts in a friendly. Was instantly hooked and have only ever supported caley and caley jags. Like others I was determined that my boys would support their local team and not the old firm .

I'd idealy see the ten teams re-join the SFL. 16 team Division 1, 16 team Division 2, 16 team Division 3 then a Highland League and Lowland League below with a pyramid system for entry to Division 3. This would mean we would need 8 more teams to join Division 3. 4 from the HL and 4 from the Lowland junior leagues to join Division 3. Rangers and Celtic can apply to join straight to Division 1 with the former SPL teams, but they have to sign up to the new league rules which means all potential sponsor and TV revenue must be split between Division 1 teams evenly. Also, no matter what league your in, terracing is allowed. No silly stadia rules that will get teams into debt building them. Far too sensible a suggestion for it ever to happen CC.

I sit behind the goals and the stj player just dropped like a stone IMO. You start to doubt yourself when a lot of folk in the main stand thought it was a stonewaller. However on seeing the highlights I havent changed my original opinion at all that it was harsh.

According to Tyrone Smith (STV) on twitter this deal has been concluded and £250,000 has been invested in the club.

What can I say that hasnt already been said. Ive had more exciting nights watching paint dry! Boring boring boring. Roll on sunday with the hope things will improve. The only players who get any pass marks from me are Roscoe Shinnie and Mackay. Ref was awful as were the tactics from Terry and Mo.
