  1. £1000 for 10 people. Includes entry to game, pre match drink, half time pie & pint, full time stovies and meet the players in the "exclusive hospitality suite". Given the difficulty (not testimonial committee fault as I understand it) in getting a date sorted, and the mounting fixture congestion, then probably not much option other than to take a chance on this date.
  2. As it was us raising the "complaint" and it was fast-tracked then I think it may be correct* that the club don't take part in the principal hearing....so it's possible that they won't know who the panel were. However, the idea that the panel all joined a Webex conference and just sat saying nothing to each other is a bit ridiculous. *By correct I mean in relation to the JP Protocols, not correct in terms of common sense.
  3. The appeal I was present for had the 3 panel members sitting around the same table....so unless anything has changed, the club would have been sitting with them and/or they would have been on the screen (via video call).
  4. Do people really believe that there's someone who didn't look at all the evidence? All seems a little too convenient a 'get out' for the SFA to cover up an error in a system which is not fit for purpose! I personally don't think the panel need to be named...even if there really is one of them who's done what they are accused of...but whoever was there from the club will know who they are and given how far they went with the statement, if they felt they needed named I'm sure they would have named them.
  5. Because the panel do not "re-referee" the decision...that was a point that was established during the Josh Meekings case. What they do is make a decision on whether the official has correctly applied the rules. If the official, as they have here, says that even allowing for the contact they consider the player to have gone down easy and it was simulation then (as per the Meekings precedent) it's not for the panel to say if that was right/wrong. I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, and I am not saying it is right, but that is the system....and that is what needs changing. Given the public outcry and the pressure on the SFA I think we'll find the card is rescinded...but that will be a decision taken without following the current system. It will allow the SFA to make it go away, but it it will do nothing to prevent it happening again in future.
  6. Take nothing for granted, it could very well be the one person who is rumoured to have sided with us that has been ditched....this is the SFA after all.
  7. We've played worse and won, so ....full focus on next week now
  8. What we really need is a big banner that reads "THIS IS NOT AN SFA COMPETITION - BOYCOTTING IT WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE TO THEM WHATSOEVER"
  9. We didn't. As the club engaged the services of the right people it got thrown out before it ever got to the stage where the mass support/outrage may have influenced any decision makers. I was part of the team representing Josh that day (although my contribution ended up not being required), so I was sitting in the room and can attest to that. Had that initial play failed, then the weight of support may have helped...and if there's any faint hope of changing things for James...or failing that changing the system...then everyone needs to speak up.
  10. Let's all keep in mind that what we have here is a broken system and that's what we need to be focussing on changing. By all means we should be allowed to criticise a refs performance, just as we should a players performance and indeed the SFA's performance. However, it serves no useful purpose...quite the opposite...to be going after individuals with any kind of personal slandering and/or harassment. A lot of what is in the club statement needed to be said (even if we do get hauled up for it) but the calling out of the 3 man panel in the manner we have I find it a little disappointing. It will only encourage hacks to out these people and the whole thing could potentially get out of control as they become the focus of the frustration, anger and upset.
  11. I don't buy into the idea that football should be 3pm on a Saturday "because that's when it's always been played". However, I do think the inconsistency, and often short notice of changes, generates a lot of frustration and hassle for fans. That's part of the reason I think shifting the entire calendar to a Friday night with 8.00pm or later kick-off time would help as it immediately removes the current need to shift them outwith the TV black-out period....it may even encourage more beneficial/profitable deals to be down with broadcasters. I get that it may not suit some of those who currently attend games on a Saturday, but when you start looking at the attendance figures for Friday night games home crowds are generally as good as a Saturday. I'd rather see a policy that promotes a larger home crowd, even if it does mean we have a few less traveling fans. It's those home fans who will buy the merchandise, spend in the bar and do all the other things which help improve a club. We bang on about how we have to compete with other activities at weekends as if we somehow expect those businesses to stop trying to compete with us....and that's never going to happen....so move to a time where there's less competition and more consistency with fixture days/times.
  12. Kick Off on Friday's needs to be later....8.00pm or after.
  13. Now I'm disappointed I can't red dot myself
  14. Going by the red dots on this post, Storm Dennis also whooshed a few people in here over the weekend
  15. I think Robbo will be ok as he didn't cross the line by saying/inferring that the ref was biased, corrupt or questioning his integrity....as far as I know, there's no rule says he can't call him rubbish.
  16. I thought Aitken has been one of the better referee's we've had this season.
  17. I like a moan as much as the next person, and everyone is entitled to a view....so, meh!
  18. Wasn't expecting we'd have a large attendance tomorrow as is, but this could potentially knock a good few of the travelling support off the total. Just another reason why the colts things is a daft idea.
  19. Just to clarify my position here... I'm actually a huge advocate for Friday Night Football and would switch all Scottish football to a Friday night (why is a discussion for elsewhere)....it's just that this particular date is not appealing for me.
  20. I hadn't realised Premiers Sports had 2 games...so yeah, that would have made it easy picks for them. I'm in Edinburgh on the Sunday for starting new job on the Monday so Saturday I would have stayed over and Sunday I would have been there anyway. Down, up and back down again isn't appealing and a £22 ticket price makes the decision all the easier....oh well ?
  21. When games are may well depend on which broadcaster gets which game....and they may be waiting until the replays before making those decisions.
