  1. I nearly didn't move it cause I knew someone would have come up with that thought :015: Probably see you tomorrow - Mrs Paulibee told me today that I looked like chit (ok, she was nice and just said I looked shattered) - so I intend putting my weekend off to good use and having a few drinks :003:
  2. If I wasn't working I would have been honoured to have accompanied you.
  3. If I showed IHE how to use a webcam, my conscience would keep me awake at nights
  4. You have to be a Cloud Subscriber or purchase vouchers to use that IIRC.....do they sell the vouchers in the Innes???
  5. Sorry Harry, 8 Pages, but no pictures....maybe we can have someone read it too you though :015:
  6. You may get it in, but your breaking the law (possesion of pressurised cannisters blah blah blah) as soon as you use it and with the new FBO's it's really not worth the hassle. Think it was Yompa who has a link to a site that did the heavy duty (blow yourself) fog horns which although borderline in terms of the legal allowed noise level wouldn't see you carted off in cuffs.
  7. Leaving the "Brew Factor" out of it, I don't like the idea of short term deals. All it does is undermine the permanent squad and their is no real incentive for the player coming in to perform at their best.

    The Pitch

Even after the screwed up his pitch with the USH Tommy still hasn't let us down. Still, I hope someone has looked out the longer studs for Saturday as even with the best groundsman in the country at hand things could be a bit slippery underfoot.
  9. If you read my post again you will see that is exactly the point I am raising. When a person finds themselves in a no win situation they are reluctant to make changes for fear of further persecution, be it consciously or not. They start to feel they can do no right so they stop trying.
  10. I read that and all I hear is "You don't agree with me so I'm going to throw my toys out of the pram"...exactly what you are accusing those who disagree with you of doing. Discussion is a two way street where people make their point, back it up with evidence and acknowledge (wether you agree or disagree with) the points of others. If you want a proper discussion then make your point properly and don't just fill the forum up with post of "CC should be sacked"....just because you shout louder and more often doesn't make your point any more valid.
  11. Well said, I think it's often easy to forget how important it is to encourage players at all levels of the club. Not only are these youngsters the potential future of the club but success at all levels gives an insight into how well we are doing with regards coaching etc throughout the club. Many of the players we go to watch on a Saturday (or any other day these days) have many of the rough edges knocked off before we ever see them, so to hear of the younger guys competing well against clubs with a far more established youth setup is great news.
  12. Here's my take on the overall situation and how all the "boo-boys" are doing far more harm than good even though the claim to be some kind of Oracle which is seeing all and only talking out in the hope that people will listen "for their own good". Some of this info comes about from personal experience and finding myself in a very similar situation which just about sent me over the edge, so forgive me if it appears a bit "deep". When a person comes to work each day and find a desk, newspaper, in-box or forum full of comments regarding how bad they did the previous day and picking up on nothing but the negatives it forces you to adopt a defensive attitude and approach to the work you do that day. As the days go on your attitude becomes more and more defensive. Being forced into a defensive and negative approach to your work in almost any industry is not a good thing, and for a football manager (especially a new and less experienced one) it must be an absolute nightmare. These guys need to be able to work creatively in order to realise their own full and proper potential, and to do that means they need to be innovative and take risks. In order for a person to be able to take risks they need to have a good relationship with those they are working with, be that the people who work under them (the players), those who work over them (the Board) and the customer (us the fans). The more these people are seen to be finding constant fault the less risk the person will take and the more defensive they will become. A good example of this was the fact that we performed so well away from home, away from the 'home crowd' who have a small but vocal section of people who only ever seem capable of finding fault in what CC has been doing, add to the the fact that Dargo has recently gone to the press to have his own wee dig and I think you can start to get the picture. From personal experience this is a very hard cycle to break, especially where customers (the fans) are involved. The Board and Chairman can deal with the internal issues but they have little power over the fans to bring a halt to this "Blame Culture", and the fans who are guilty of promoting the culture are generally to pig headed and blinkered to realise that although they may think they know all and are doing everyone a favour by sounding the alarm bells, they are in fact the main cause of the issue. So, lets get of CC's back and let him do the job he was given. If he fails, then he at least deserves to be able to stand up and say he gave it his best shot, and not have to bow out wishing he had stuck 2 fingers up at the doubters and did things his own way without having negativity thrust upon him unwantedly and without any real merit. If he succeeds, then come back and give praise where it is due instead of lurking behind a keyboard waiting for the next blip to fuel your need to come on bashing someone because you've had a chit day, week, month or life. Not everyone falls into the bully category as laid out above, some of those who criticise do so in a constructive manner. They make and discuss their point and then they leave it at that. It's those who feel the need to go on to every thread and post the same "Get CC out" nonsense day after day, week after week that need to wake up and get with the programme. There's a reason why we call ourselves supporters and for me it's getting to the stage where some people are not fit to carry that title in relation to ICT with the way they go on, and I don't buy the "I only criticise because I care" argument either. If you cared you'd be on here praising when things were going well instead of just when things aren't so rosey.
  13. All we need to do now is convince them to set up a wireless access point in the Innes and we'd be set for doing post match reviews over a couple of drinks.
  14. Must be the trauma thats blocked the result from your mind - however, since it was actually 2-4 I'll forgive you for not getting it straight off.
  15. I want to know what took so long :016:
  16. What a stupid argument - by pulling out of the challenge he wasn't even showing any intent, let alone commiting a foul.
  17. Personally I think it's all the fault of Tommy....well, he seems to be the only person who hasn't been blamed so far :016:
  18. No need for the inclusion of the word knee.
  19. Only in North America would the lazy cnuts have a snow shovel with a wheel.
  20. Techincally, the Queen could remain the Scottish Monarch - although I have absolutely no reason why we would want her or any of the hangers on. In fact, when we become Independent we should throw all the leaching royals off our land and reclaim it for ourselves, either that or we should impose some kind of "Royalty Tax" upon them.
  21. IMO, Bayne is doing more to warrant his place in the team than Dargo at present so I fail to see how we can justify dropping him ahead of Dargo - if either was to be dropped. Also, Dargo has as good as stated himself that he will only be able to score goals if he gets better service and since we don't have a setup to provide that service then I think we should put Wyness in his place to see if he can do any better alongside Bayne.
  22. Only one thing worse than a compulsive moaning ICT fan...thats a compulsive moaning Hibs fan pretending to be an ICT fan.
