  1. So total attendance on our part could be around 650-700 including VIP seated fans. That would be fantastic. Looking forward to helping create a big noise to roar the team on.
  2. I agree with that selection and the reason for it. Have I missed something but is Vincent injured too?
  3. That's ironic! Due to bowling, you'll miss the game at the 'Bowlin' ground! (as it tends to be pronounced for some reason) I know and I missed the home leg v Astra due to bowling too. Was playing in Northern Counties BA championships in Golspie v Thurso, a long term commitment.
  4. Damn, won't be able to make the London trip if it happens as appearing at Scottish Bowling Championships in Ayr. Could make the home leg though - complete reversal of round 2.
  5. I stay in Inverness, can't go to the home leg (long term commitment out of town) but going to Romania. However, I will be hugely disappointed if we can't get 5,000+ at home leg. Apart from Barry Wilson's testimonial v Liverpool U19s we have a poor record of home attendances for games in the summer holidays. It's as if half the population leave town as soon as the schools break up.
  6. I'm not getting worked up about it. I just thought I was providing some useful information for those who would normally use the car parks but obviously from your response the club don't seem that bothered about it. I have however told a disabled badge holder friend of mine that he won't be able to park in his usual spot behind the North Stand.
  7. The parking at the stadium has not been an issue for me since 2003 when I decided to park further away after being trapped in the home car park for 30 minutes or more at every home game. I prefer to park are least a 15 minute walk away now. My point here is that it is unlikely that any parking will be available at the stadium in connection with the match unless you arrive much earlier or have a reserved space. So who was the Billy Smarterse or clown that arranged the match or the circus booking or both so that they clash?
  8. If anyone has passed by the stadium in the last few days you will notice the big top and encampment of the Netherlands Circus on the Home car park. I also noticed tonight that folk attending the circus are parking in the main stand and Away car parks. The circus is due to stay until after the evening of the 12th July and there is a matinee performance this Saturday at 2.30pm. Now I know that there probably won't be a big crowd at our home friendly with St Mirren, but is there not going to be a bit of a problem with traffic, parking and general access to the stadium?
  9. I was told last week that Russell Latapy had left the club and had been replaced by Brian Rice. I decided not to post until it is confirmed by the club but from the above ..............
  10. Brilliant work folks. I'm looking forward to making myself known to as many of you as possible in Bucharest. My big regret though is not being able to make the home leg. I have another long term commitment that night that I have been trying to get out of. I hope this doesn't preclude me from getting match tickets for the away leg. Otherwise I'll have to sit with the Astra fans. Any idea when these tickets go on sale?
  11. I thought it was a 3pm ko and was getting ready to go to watch it - won't even make the 2nd half. Good to hear they got off to good start.
  12. Not tears, just annoyance as we were given the impression the club were going to look at a larger charter that would accommodate some fans too. As I said above I couldn't be bothered waiting and got on line. Sounds like things are moving for the official party though as Yogi was on tv earlier saying the players are changing in Bucharest and travelling in their kit to Giurgiu. Worried they might get their valuables nicked by the locals then? Hope to meet Dalgety Bay Jaggy in Bucharest to buy him a drink for organising the buses.
  13. Fantastic and thanks for organising at such a good price too.
  14. Very disappointing that there has been no official announcement from the club yet about arrangements for the away leg, not that I can find anyway. Those of us who are keen to go have in the course of the last few days relied on the (helpful) experiences of past/existing ex-pats in Romania, our own on line bookings, a link to guidance given to Celtic fans last year, Google street view and various travel guides you can download. At least we got an extra 2 weeks notice than if it had not been a straight draw. However, it is coming up to the summer holiday period and getting time off from work and booking flights and accommodation becomes more difficult and expensive for all. It would have been helpful if we had more information about ticket availability and any potential travel restrictions. If, as was said above there should be plenty tickets then fair enough. I had also hoped to book a place on the club charter flight ,which might have taken some of the hassle out of making arrangements, but what the hell, I couldn't wait any longer and just went for it yesterday. Apologies for the above moan if I am missing some information appearing elsewhere.
  15. Decided not to wait for the club and booked our own Bucharest city break as flight costs on the rise. 3 nights in the Europa Royale Budapest starting 21st with flight from Aberdeen via Amsterdam. We nervously await to hear if we can get match tickets, from the club? We (2) of us definitely interested in shared transport to and from the match. Please count us in and let us know of meets in pubs, squares, fountains etc.
  16. My thoughts exactly. No point in booking anything other than refundable hotel rooms if we don't know what our ticket allocation will be. Need to wait on an official announcement from the club. I also understand that there is an issue about women travelling especially as my other half wants to go with me and treat this as part of our summer holiday.
  17. .......but the club don't do numbers as I have been reminded by Caley D on another thread.
  18. Oh I forgot, but it would be nice to know how many have been sold compared with across in Dungwall, for example.
  19. Any word yet on number of STs sold so far? After the success of last season I would be disappointed not to exceed 4000. Do potential newbies with young children realise that U12s are free in the North Stand?
  20. I'd be up for that. Surely there will be 80-100 seats available to fans on a 140 - 160 seater charter.
  21. I take it that the other minnows from nations like Albania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Wales etc., are all in the 1st qualifying round and not seeded. They don't appear in the list of 66 above. For me a trip to either Denmark, Holland, Croatia, Greece or Cyprus are the most attractive and reachable by one flight from Scotland. Traveling via hub airports like Gatwick, Milan and Geneva can also put you within easy reach of many other places.
  22. Hoping the club will move quickly to make new signings especially when you see the likes of former Hearts players James Keatings and Scott Robinson being snapped up in the last couple of days. Falkirk also have a few good players worth considering - Vaulks and Grant for starters and even Jamie MacDonald.
