  1. If you want to split hairs, that would be: (probability of ICT beating Motherwell) x (probability of Hamilton failing to beat Dundee) + (probability of ICT drawing with Motherwell) x (probability of Hamilton losing to Dundee by at least 5 goals) miniscule though the second one is.
  2. Technically, if we draw at Dens we still have a chance of making 11th, so "must not lose" rather an absolute "must win".
  3. This season's away top was for sale in Dublin today for €5.
  4. Could you be more specific for people with blue/yellow colour blindness?
  5. I'll accept a comedy howler from Danny Devine.
  6. Maybe it'll be called "Trident" if it's a sub-based launch coming in the air. I hope it's not one of those services that you pay through the nose for, but someone else decides when you get to use it.

  8. Dunfermline game on Tuesday 26th is at 7:45 PM rather than 3:00 PM surely?

      thanks. good catch

  9. The wind made things very difficult - there was one particular high ball that made me feel as though I was playing "Spot the Ball", as I could only watch where the players were looking to track its movement until it reappeared. The pitch wasn't exactly in its prime either - among other things there was a big hollow, where at least a square foot of turf had disappeared, just over the nearside touchline. Both these are bound to have affected performance today. Nonetheless, Foran's competitive managerial record is better than either Rodgers or Lennon. What was Finnie using at free kicks? I could see him spraying something, but never once saw any marks on the ground. I did wonder if he'd left the dressing room in a rush, and picked up his can of Lynx by mistake, instead of his shaving foam. Was anyone paying full attention to the game while the ball boy desperately tried to recover the ball that went up the grass bank? Judging by the crowd noises at every failure, attention was divided!
  10. Regardless of opinions, you're two or three days too late - he's back at Tannadice yet again!
  11. I was in absolutely no doubt that it was in, but the ref's reaction seemed so slow, that I didn't think he was giving it. Did the assistant confirm it to the ref?
  12. They've now realised their mistake, and corrected it, Even though they still have him playing for ICT. They've even added their excuses: pictures of both, with the caption "Batshuayi (left) shares the Brussels hairdresser 'Natty Dreadlocks' with M'Buyi-Mutombo".
  13. Correct. As per the rules at 19 January 2016: 67. During the term of a temporary transfer the Player concerned shall not Play against the transferor Club in a: (i) League Match; (ii) Play-Off Match; (iii) League Cup Match; (iv) match in the Challenge Cup; or (v) match in the Scottish Cup. http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__therulesofthescottishprofessionalfootballleagueasat19january2016_1461332495.pdf
  14. I have nothing to say either; except that you failed. 1st on page 41 is post 1001.
  15. I was at Dens Park (where John Robertson came on as a sub for Hearts). All we got at half-time was that the Liverpool v Nottingham Forrest game had been abandoned after kick-off, and got nothing more until we were back in the car.
  16. "Before 1963", so at least 27 years before Hillsborough; so longer before then, than since then. I remember 15 April 1989 well (at least from about noon on) - do you? Do you remember where you were when you first heard about it? Because you don't remember twice as long ago awfully well! That shouldn't be a surprise to any of us, so in the circumstances, maybe you should just STFU about it. We're aware that you used to be a fireman: that doesn't mean you have to pretend to believe the lies of others who served with the emergency services.

Justified speculation. René Gade, 29th April 2016
  18. I couldn't have filled in the blank better myself.
  19. ...and a St George's cross, but no St Andrew's cross!
  20. I remember it well! It was obviously someone attached to the club, because the camera was on the wall at the back of the dugout, and had been there for umpteen games. It pointed to the goal they were attacking, so changed at half time (and maybe after the toss). I still remember watching that second half, waiting for Ryan Esson to get agitated (I'm still waiting). That was the night I knew we were going back up.
  21. Agreed - it was my last game, and I was on my feet a number of times saying "give him support" when he chested the ball down only to find he had three defenders to beat in the next six yards.
  22. A load of surnames, but "Andrea". Is that not a bit Shaunesque?
