  1. Delighted with the result today. Looks like we could have easily have lost it with the open goal miss, offside goal decision if Wotherspoon got out of the way for Riordan to shoot and the penalty miss. 4 Points from our first 4 matches is good, we've had to play some hard teams. Roll on playing St Mirren, St Johnstone and Killie to clock up some real points. In the mean time another draw next weekend would suit me.
  2. HT:ICT 1-1 HIBS FT:ICT 1-2 HIBS 1st ICT: Rooney 1st HIBS: Riordan Crowd: 11000
  3. Haven't got my specs but, from the stats on this site, I make it Played 15....Won 8....Drawn 2......Lost 5 in our previous league meetings which gives us a 66.666% chance of winning Its P 15 W 8 D 2 L 5 in the League and P 16 W 8 D 2 L 6 Overall including the Scottish Cup.
  4. So it turns out Proctor really is a good centre half? Add that to the fact that Rooney and Rory are now two of the most prolific goalscorers in Scotland. Fair play Brewster, peraps you weren't so daft afterall. Aye right, take a look at your avatar!
  5. They beat us in the very first SPL match which was at Pittodrie so your right, they have never won at TCS.
  6. SMEE - Have advocated the following solution in the past and think it is truly the only way forward for Scotland in the future if we are to have any chance of qualifying for World Cup Finals or European Championships -- Create a North Atlantic qualifying region consisting of Iceland, Faeroe Islands, Greenland ( assist/fund them to enter as a full FIFA rep ), Northern Ireland and Scotland. Top two teams in the group qualify for any finals. This puts us up against countries/competition very similar in capability and aspiration to our own levels. This would give us a genuine opportunity to qualify for finals in the future, where we can then be absolutely tanked by all the other finalists. The other alternative is to create separate competitions for genuine third rate teams like Scotland - so we have a chance to win a little trophy and some medals Or due to the amount of European countries these days we enhance the tournament to 24 teams and have extra teams qualifying. We would then have a better chance of qualifying and then getting absolutely humped at the tournament.
  7. Ok so on past matches at Easter Road in the league they've beaten us 4 times and we've beaten them 3 times (not bad) Altogether we have beaten Hibs 8 times, drew 2 and lost 6. We're unbeaten against Hibs in the last 3 matches, beating them twice. Overall my opinion is we WILL win. C'mon ICT!
  8. Agree with RIG, team picks itself at the moment. When Richies back get him on for Ross.
  9. You make a fair point but i would still think Scotland would be able to comfortably beat the two teams we just played. Well done to Lithuania for putting us in an excellent position now after beating the Czechs on their own soil.
  10. Not a bad signing at all if confirmed. We're still lacking that attacking player to cover any injuries we sustain though.
  11. The BBC Website has it down as a 4-1-4-1 Lee McCulloch playing the holding role.
  12. I agree, he is good enough for the first so if anyone is interested thats where i expect him to be. He could well end up in the top end of the 2nd division though.
  13. I stand corrected, I remember rivals.net as the leader when i first joined. I completely forgot about them.
  14. to be honest though we really are on the ropes, I'd be comfortable with McBain playing on the left but i'd still be thinking " WE NEED FORAN!"
  15. There are a few that come to mind... i also remember Seoras....surely these people don't just stop using the internet and stop supporting ICT? there are alot of posters these days on the internet..... i would just like to put old names to new names, if any at all.
  16. I joined officially back in the first division around 2001 but i cant be sure, Ever since joining i've had the best experience ever. This website has always been one of my favourites but there has been times where i have been very silent and not posted at all. Or at times changes my user name completely. I'm just wondering if there are a few users out there that have been here for a few years that have changed names... A few that i remember that have been here for around 10 years or so are Scotty, Gringo, Gringo Jr, and Yngwie but i know there are alot of others. I remember names like Iain Coia...Colin Wilson...Sandy Cromarty....DJS....Guzz.....Uncle Albert...... Interthenet ( a proven Gringos PL expert i might add) and a few others.... I'm just wondering how long you have been around and if you have been on caleythistleonline for a few years. Do you remember sportnetwork??lol
  17. I am very sorry to hear this, I didnt know caley ally as such but knew Iain Coia from a few matches and always shown my new ICT friends that the CoIa family ruled the ICT away support and to always look out for them. Just last week i was going to start a new thread asking where everyone was. Its been a while since i've seen a few regulars from a few years ago. Caley Ally are you a true ICT Legend...RIP
  18. Do Celtic charge ridiculous prices for cup games as well or do they have reduced prices for students? A rubbish draw but bring it on! I'm confident we could win this if Celtic have a really bad day.
  19. If we could sign Morais that would be ideal, with Foran and Gil out we're looking for someone like that. I just hope Rooney doesn't gets injured this season.
  20. This is an excellent replacement for Stokes. Duffy was class when he was with Falkirk. Owen Coyle, Colin Samuel and Daryl Duffy always liked to destroy us on occasions.
  21. Can anyone confirm the Scotland game is on BBC Scotland on friday at 7.15? Think the other game is on next Tuesday on Sky Sports 3.
  22. Well, since you've got a bee in your bonnet about how Imrie appears to be an ICT legend, and you started slinging the mud at me, even though I wasn't the only poster to criticise him, how about you kick it off by listing all his achievements? Or maybe your interest is not 'football based'? i see you dodged my question about how you think Imries contribution to ICT has been negligible i certainly do not have bee in my bonnet nor did i sling any mud at anyone. i merely suggested the statement where you described his contribution to ICT as negligible was 'absolute twaddle', if you find that offensive or provocative then i am sorry. Im not going to list all of his achievements nor could i without refering to an external source and to be honest thats not what is being discussed in this thread. Imrie played over 60 games for ICT and like it or not his contribution either directly or indirectly won us games. If this is deemed as negligible then i need to check the definition of negligible The main jist of what im trying to say is, football is full of varying characters, some we like, some we dont, however the crux of the matter is not our opinions on the player but what he does for the club. Imrie, whether you find him friend or foe, contributed to this team. Dougie was our best player when we were relegated
  23. I've only seen Nick Ross play twice this season and on both occasions i haven't been overly impressed but i also wouldn't go ahead and say he was the weakest link. Considering his age he is doing well, There aren't many youth players in the past that we've had that could cope in the SPL. I think because he is replacing one of our biggest players (Richie Foran) he is being scrutinised far more than he normally would.
