  1. Whilst I absolutely understand your frustration, can I just point out, and I could be wrong ( Usually am ) that we had to sign him now in order to register him for the European games, as with the games starting so early, they start before the Transfer Window opens, and I believe we can register Greg now that he's signed a pre-contract. Whilst not confirmed, it appears that Ryan Jack will be moving on and I think behind the scenes, McInnes knows this, therefore acted by confirming Greg's pre-contract, meaning we won't be short when Jack does leave. Sorry for intruding ladies & gents, absolutely no-one knew anything about this move until today though, quite incredible really the amount of ex-ICT players we have now. Hayes, Rooney, Shinnie, Storey & Tansey & this isn't a **** take, but allegedly, if Ash Taylor leaves, Josh Meekings is being lined up to replace him! With Accies defender Mikey devlin also a shout. Would take both over Taylor any day of the week! Anyway, hopefully you guys stay up, always a fiery, entertaining fixture between us & for some bizarre reason, whilst not doing too good a job, I have a soft spot for Richie Foran and wish him well.
  2. Evening folks, and HOWDEN ENDER :) First of all, totally deserved win, absolutely zero complaints about where the points deserved to go. Said before the game I wasn't looking forward to it and proved right. Big Yogi certainly has McInnes under his thumb, he seems to know how to set up against us. After we scored ICT literally bossed the game, literally. Was really impressed with the mix of short, sharp passing and the execution of the inch perfect long balls. Add to that the constant pressing and we simply did not have an answer. Can talk about the ref all we want, but the bottom line is, we were as bad as him. There is no way whatsoever that the penalty was actually a penalty, but that isn't why we lost the game, even if he correctly didn't give it, only one team was going to win tonight. If only ICT played with that conviction every other week, I have no doubt you would be up there with us. I hope it clicks consistently because I genuinely enjoy watching you play, a very tidy team. HOWDEN ENDER, you're either fishing and winding me up or you're actually an immature wee boy, cause I'd love for you to show me, of all my posts, in where I have been bitter? I have never been on here to offend anyone, and I don't think I have, I think I've been fairly honest and consistent with my posts. If you're fishing then kudos, if not, then I worry for you :) Anyway, good win and hopefully gives you the confidence to push on and up the table now. Take that level of performance in to the next game and do us a favour, please ;)
  3. Afternoon all, not at all looking forward to this game tonight, wouldn't matter if it was at Pittodrie or not, because we always seem to struggle against ICT. I know the game will be won by 1 goal, if it's won at all, and I know it will be a hard earned 3 points for whoever take them. Obviously I hope we can continue to push Celtic on as long as possible and I hope we can get a positive start and grab an early goal, or 2, as I believe we are capable of holding on, seem to have developed a great determination to see games out under McInnes if we get in front. Big Draper always bullies us, every game I've seen him play against us, he literally bosses it. I do think the game will be won from midfield tonight, so need to hope McLean and young Storie get to grips early on. Be disappointed if McInnes drops Storie from the 11 due to Jack & Flood returning. He's came in and went about his business very well, so hope he gets the nod. Good luck anyway, not too much luck obviously, just good luck. P.S IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER.....I know, I know, you want me to jog on or just in general get to f*ck.
  4. I see a statement has been released from ICT now, stating that Greg wanted to stay. If that is the case then it certainly explains a lot. I'm not at all convinced by that though, I'd be very angry at my own manager if he's lied about the whole " The player was eager to join us " spiel. I suppose at the end of the day, he's still an ICT player and that's literally all that matters now. In any case, I am signing off for good this time, again, very best of luck for the rest of the season and hope you all have a good night, apart from you obviously IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER ;)
  5. Regarding that, McInnes confirmed we did have the 200k available upfront, stated it wasn't easy, but we had it.
  6. Sorry bughmaster, but that statement there is a bit far fetched. In what way have Aberdeen acted without dignity? McInnes was asked a question, or several actually, about the whole ordeal, and he answered, he also publicly said that he'd spoken to John Hughes, who was happy with the way we conducted the deal, he wouldn't make that up, especially the talking to Hughes part knowing that Hughes would get wind of it, and your manager is not the type to let a lie go, is he, he is a passionate man that cares about his club and it's supporters and takes zero bullsh!t. I'd also like to point out that McInnes found out that we could actually put the money together on the Friday, but didn't want to disrupt ICT's match preparation for the Saturday, and it was only after he was made aware that your game was cancelled, he tabled the offer, on Saturday, I would say that's actually pretty respectful and certainly dignified. I can only speak for myself here as well, but to say we are envious is also a bit far fetched, I'm over the moon that ICT have had success over the years, and I've always enjoyed the brand of football you play & the difficult fixtures we always seem to have, there is never much in the games, long may it continue. I completely respect and appreciate that this is a bit of a bad time, given the circumstances of this saga, but I draw the line at ridiculous statements like that.
  7. Fair point Alex MacLeod, and I agree with your last sentence entirely. I'll leave you all in peace now, apologies if I've ruffled anyone's feathers, was never my intention. Very best of luck for the rest of the season guys & girls (Except when playing us) and hope you all have a good night.
  8. I hear what you are saying, but the question was put to McInnes in the interview " Was the issue anything to do with the player's release clause being made aware to you " to which he replied " Absolutely not, it was a representative of ICT that made us aware of the clause " I appreciate the quote's there in the article say he mentioned it was Tansey's agent, but he never, he said it was an agent the club use in general, whether the majority of players use the same agent there, I don't know, maybe that is what was meant.
  9. McInnes has said that neither club are disappointed at the fact the release clause was made aware to us. He said there was no issue with that whatsoever, from both sides, so if that's true, makes it all the more bizarre.
  10. Evening all, hope you're well. Just popped on to see if any of you are in the know as to why Tansey didn't sign? Just watched our manager on RedTV there, spoke openly about of all this, saying he can't understand why Tansey isn't an Aberdeen player, said he spoke to John Hughes this morning, who's in agreement that Aberdeen acted with integrity and never went behind anyone's back etc.... He said we definitely offered 200k up front, which activated Tansey's release clause, the player himself was eager to join, but something prevented the actual deal going through. There isn't an issue with the release clause being triggered or made public, as it was an agent that ICT as a club use in general, that made us aware of it. I'm not here to give abuse or receive it guys, I completely understand your anger at the whole issue, given that we've signed a few players from yourselves in recent times, but surely you agree that this whole saga has been rather bizarre.
  11. Hi guys. First and foremost, unlucky today, thought you gave a great account of yourselves. We shaded the first half only with the chances, then 2nd half and extra time was as even as you will ever see. How poor were both teams set pieces? Lol. I predicted a tight game, it was always going to be a tight game. A fantastic atmosphere from everyone involved. Both sets of support did their team proud. Thought both teams should have had a penalty, Foran's was probably more obvious when Considine pulled him as he was heading, but Rooney's was a penalty as well, disappointed to see that Hughes said it was a dive, there is clear contact. We really, really missed Pawlett and then Hayes when he went off injured very early on. Didn't have our usual zip middle to front. Was surprised to see Doran on the bench, and a bit relieved to be honest, he looked very lively when he came on. Anyway, it's finished, I barely slept last night, maybe a couple of hours I think, so thankfully it's back to normality. Well done today and hope you all had a safe journey back up the road.
  12. My colleague is an ICT fan and we have been giving each other a good bit of stick in the run up to the game, however, it's just a bit of fun. I appreciate it seems strange that I'm on here wishing ICT well, but I have absolutely no ill feeling towards the club in any shape or form. I'm delighted they are in a final. It's a great story. Obviously I'm hoping for a Dons win, but if not, then so be it. Armageddon they said when Rangers went bust, I think they are full of sh1t and I'm loving it. Us going to head to head in the final with an attendance of around 50k is magnificent. Great for Scottish Football, if Celtic buggered off as they keep bleating on about, what a healthy SPFL we would have, any one of 6 or 7 teams could genuinely win the league. Our clubs very much included.
  13. Thank you for the kind replies guys. I guarantee you, my word, if we win on Sunday, I will not be on here gloating. I also give you my word that should ICT win, I will be on here congratulating you. I genuinely just love seeing non old-firm teams win silverware (Except Dundee United :p). It would be a tremendous achievement for whichever team wins on Sunday.
  14. Hi mainstander. I'm only 27, I haven't witnessed the Dons win anything in my time supporting them. I was just a laddy in 95 and don't remember it. I have supported them through absolute dross but wouldn't change it for the world. I am slightly annoyed that these same fans you mention wont turn up to home games and help us generate promising funds that would maybe attract quality players. On the flipside, ICT will benefit from the number of tickets of sold. Also, I'm not sure the exact number of tickets ICT have sold, but I believe its around 7500, that is a bit of a rise from your average attendance as well, not a dig, just what happens when teams reach finals, a lot of fans will turn up that don't usually turn up.
  15. I'm not here to upset or offend anyone Ten4, just a genuine post before we meet in the final, that is all. If I have offended you, then I apologise.
