  1. Rory McAllister for Peterhead today. In the Highland League, Ethan Cairns for Forres and Garry Wood for Banks O’Dee.
  2. I thought it was a very good meeting of the Trust today. I won’t pre-empt their note of the meeting but a lot of pertinent questions were asked of Director Scot Young, and then the Chairman Ross Morrison joined to give an update on the Battery Farm and what it could mean for the club if it happens.
  3. An enjoyable afternoon. The first half hour was pretty even but we had an explosive 15 minutes before half time which settled the game. Wotherspoon is proving a real asset and I hope we extend his contract beyond January. Mckay did brilliantly to start the build up to the first goal. Wotherspoon squeezed his second in from a very tight angle and Mckay buried the penalty. None of us saw that all coming after 30 minutes. We were pinned back for most of the second half and Ayr’s penalty made it slightly nervy but we saw it out. My only complaint is that we invited Ayr on to us too much in the second half. However, Ridgers did not have much to do. We lost Anderson at half time, presumably to injury, but hopefully a precautionary change. The picks for me were Wotherspoon, Mckay and Boyes. Credit also to Harper who nullified Chalmers to the point we didn’t see Chalmers after the break. 11 points out of 15 and up to 8th. If we can win at Dunfermline in our first game in hand next week we will be 5th. Well done guys!
  4. I believe that, whether this was the club’s decision or Robbo’s, it is the correct one. Hopefully we are starting to see a renewed focus (maybe even listening) from those making the key decisions. Time will tell. I wish Robbo well. He did a decent job when Manager and his health issues clearly had an impact, which we should not overlook. I just hope it doesn’t mean we lose Iain Auld from Sportscene Results, as I record it so I can hear his views on our games when I get home, as they are always spot on.
  5. Sorry, I meant why would you have them in your garden in the first place?
  6. A big Friday night game: https://ictfc.com/tv-selection-dundee-united-h-12-01-2024/
  7. Lewis Jamieson for St Mirren and Garry Wood for Banks O’Dee tonight, the latter in the Aberdeenshire Shield semi final. Daniel Hoban saved two penalties in the penalty shoot out to get his side to the final.
  8. HT 1-0 FT 3-1 ICT Billy Mckay Ayr Dowds Crowd 2150
  9. Shaun Rooney for Fleetwood today.
  10. I agree, but watching the highlights, I don’t think it caused the goal. Duffy was in the post and nowhere near the ball so Carson would presumably have been in the same position.
  11. Watching it again, what a deft touch by Wotherspoon (I think) to set Harper away. He and Big Dunc were getting positive comments from the panel on A View From The Terrace on Friday. I’m sure we will feature again this week after yesterday’s game.
  12. Have seen the goal on line. It’s a cracking goal. We broke up a United move, played it calmly at the back before picking out Harper running forward. He took it from inside our half to in line with their box and clearly was looking to pick Shaw out, with a touch from Anderson or a defender helping it on its way. Shaw then tucked it away well. Nice one!
  13. Toddy for Airdrie, Gardyne for Montrose, Jordan Roberts for Stevenage and Aaron Nicolson for Nairn today.
  14. It sounds like Harper did very well to create Shaw’s goal. That will have done him the power of good. It is good that we are mixing our tactics up to suit the games now. Shows we now have more than one plan! It’s nice to be getting a run of good results! Long may it continue! The club’s report: https://ictfc.com/dundee-united-1-1-ictfc-04-11-2023/
  15. Full Time: 1-1. I must admit I’d have taken that before kick off.
  16. Delaney on for Wotherspoon: parking the bus?
  17. GOAL!! Nathan Shaw. We are 1 up. Cammy Harper with the assist.
  18. Half time 0-0. A booking for Ujdur and several saves by Ridgers based on the BBC text. We’ve had three attempts, one in target, with 42% of possession.
  19. It’s not that reliable at times and Boyes is a left sided defender. I’m sure someone there will let us know later.
  20. Harper maybe in a more advanced role given we are missing Longstaff with Boyes at left back?
  21. Not at all, your positivity is great to see!
  22. Steven Boyd for Morton tonight.
