  1. David MacRae, did we not release him to Nairn County. Played a few games for us last time out in the SFL was was a quality passer of the ball? At least that's what I think his name was. jj
  2. Even more amazing was how we only seem to have put 10 players out too.... (What rating did Bayne get?) :004: And if Wyness got a 5 (I thought Wyness played very well), how in the name of all things holy did Sebo get a 5 too - he was gash. jj
  3. At the ICT v Hamilton (the one we cuffed them in after letting them take the lead). John Rowbotham is the referee and there's a few groand around the crowd. The ref blows the whistle to start the game and from behind me: "That's a terrible decision ref...." jj
  4. You seem to have missed the 1-0 Scottish Cup win down at Love Street, Darren Thomson got the winner in about 78mins IIRC. Not sure of the date of the fixture, but its the 2nd year we got to the Semis I think.
  5. I won't be supporting England on the grounds that I drew the Czech Republic in the office sweep! :001: (not a bad shout for the latter stages of the tourney actually after todays performance). If I hadn't drawn the Czechs, I'd be supporting the Netherlands as I fancy them to do well. Why? Well given that my team (Scotland) didn't qualify on the grounds that we were crap surely I'm allowed to pick any of the 32 nations that happen to be there. I don't actually wish any ill will towards the England players its more to get it right up the commentary teams who just do my nut in.
  6. The original film is still missing, but the BBC did a remake featuring the same actor and car - check it out. Clicky
  7. And we're back to Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithfull again...... :004:
  8. The bit that interests me is: To me this implies that one (or more) team(s) somewhere in Europe have applied for an intertoto place, however their league/cup season has not yet finished yet AND this club is still in with a shout of a UEFA place proper through either a cup final appearance or league placing AND that nation has no other intertoto applicants. Who is this team? So we can start supporting them! :021: jj
  9. Considering he looked like he's actually a left sided player , I thought he did bloomin' well at Right Midfield and definately a decent prospect for the future, although I can't see it being as a replacement for Barry. Anyway, well played Zander! jj
  10. With Dundee in some financial trouble Robb might be an OK acquisition, but if we were to make a move for anyone at Dundee, I'd personally go for Tam McManus, always gave us problems when he played against us and I think is capable of playing at SPL level. jj
  11. World of Warcraft, Freelancer, CFS3 and occasionally go back for a blast of X-Wing: Alliance. :)
  12. 3-0 to Falkirk has been our heaviest defeat this season. Celtic/Rangers/Hearts have only managed to beat us by a single goal when they have beaten us this season jj
  13. Netherlands are also not in Fifa 05/06 etc. I think it must be something to do with licensing requirements and EA not being able to secure the licence for the Dutch National Team (you see the same in Pro Evo Soccer where Holland have made up names and most other nations have real names). As for the game, I don't have it so don't know what teams are included (are all nations from the qualifiers included too?). As far as gameplay goes I expect it will be identical to FIFA 06. jj
  14. Thought I might as well start another lame CM/FM thread. What's your favourite CM/FM Moment/players/season in the history of playing the game. You've likely got several, so I'll start by showing you the kind of guff I mean. Best ever result: Probably has to be when I was playing CM2 French Leagues with FC Nantes and in a group match in the Champions League I beat FC Bruges (in Bruges) 13-0. Without cheating! What a team I had that season, my strike force was so deadly that I played 4-2-4 and in one season the lowest scorer of the 4 was my left winger with 46 goals (Lars Ricken) The other goals came from Ouedec, Ronaldo (that fat kid that plays for Madrid now) and Julen Guerrero (a god). Although if I can be bothered to take a screeny I'll post the 4-0 humping I handed out to Celtic as ICT in FM2006 the other week - or maybe the 7-1 against the Arabs. Best Ever Run: Came in CM00/01 with (sorry to say it) Rangers. Have gone 5 league seasons without losing a single league game. Won the Champions League in season 2 due to my awesome defence (conceded 12 league goals the whole season), but thereafter have had standard Euro quality from Rangers and have been out of Europe before Christmas. Favourite Player: Pablo Adrian Guede in versions of CM3 the guy was a goal scoring god - still bangs them away in CM4/FM05. Strangest Success: Signed an Italian keeper called Mosconi for Rushden in 00/01 and he had utter rubbish stats (not a single one in double figures). The guy ended up being so good he was my first choice keeper for 4 seasons as I climbed through the divisions. Funniest Moment: Has to be the Spanish keeper called Jesus and watching the commentary - xxxx sets himself to shoot. <next line> Jesus Saves. Best Captain: Frank de Boer. Never played better than a 6, but if he didn't play the rest of the team were crap. Was pretty strange actually. Worst Season: Getting sacked after 4 games as Spurs Manager in an older version, then took on the Portugal managers job and got sacked after 2. Deleted game after that. Best Version: I probably liked CM2 French Leagues the best, but that's probably because of the sheer awesomeness of my team. CM00/01 I probably liked the best though. CM4 and FM05/06 are good, but can run too slowly. Anyone else care to share or add? jj
  15. All you can hope for tonight is that the game is better than the utter rubbish that was on display last night, it was like a Saturday Afternoon Flashback (almost was when Henry fluffed that chance in the dying seconds). :D And I agree it was never a penalty, it might have been more convincing if something more than a fart from the away supporters end due to a dodgy half-time paella had caused the boy to go down. jj
