From the BBC website: Road works cause major tailbacks on A9 at Inverness

"Road works at Inverness have caused major disruption for travellers headed for the city from the other side of the Kessock Bridge."

I wonder if Northern Constabulary will be arresting those responsible for creating a situation which was likely to upset travellers and lead to public disorder???

I don't know how many travellers there were in the queue but there were certainly a lot of commuters for whom yesterday was no laughing matter.  I left my house at 7.30 and even then took 25 minutes to cross the bridge.  Others setting out a little later took 3 hours.  Travel website on the BBC described this as a "moderate" incident!  If this is a taste of things to come when the bridge repairs start next month then it's going to be a nightmare.
