Here you are Jeggies

Good picture IHE was that the only two years thistle won anything?

Have you forgotten the result of the 1988 Qualifying Cup final replay at Telford Street..... Caley 0 Thistle 3?

I am following from the caption that the photo is of Thistle following the first of their back to back title wins under "King" Willie Grant between 1971 and 1973.

I suspect Avoch circa 1952? :ponder:

Certainly can't be much later than 1952.  That is Roddy McLean as captain introducing the team to the 'kiltie'.  He must have retired in the early 50s.  I can't put a name to the player on the end of the line, although I feel I should remember him.  Any ideas?

Good lord IHE where did you get hold of that one......I never thought there was as large a population as that on the Black Isle, amazing the amount of women there too especially for that era. I suppose there must have been more to it than just a football match, strangely there does not appear to be many bairns there.

I can see this forum going into the history books, better start seeking your royalties out now !

I'll answer my own question.  Just remembered, the player at the end  is Patty Donnachie, a more than useful left winger.
