it's just a shame they had to spoil it with bands this year...it would be ok if they were good bands but manic street preachers, the feeling.. how depressing

still, its all about the dance music, 70,000 people over 2 days - not long to go now!!!

just got this e mail:

VIP UPGRADE

Fancy a VIP upgrade? For just £20* per day or £30* for the weekend, you can buy an add-on ticket to the guest enclosure at Rock Ness. In there, you'll be able to hang out with the celebs and you'll find more variety of fine foods, more exotic drinks, posh loos and somewhere to take a break in comfort and style. Try the eco-powered pinball arcade while having a tipple on local farmer Andrew Lyle's organic rhubarb vodka to the sounds of Clash DJs - only in the VIP! Upgrades available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or www.ticketline.co.uk

sounds pretty good to me.

Rockness is enough of a fantasy come reality for anyone (except if you're 47+ and don't see the point in dance music  :001:)

The best Rock Ness moment I've had so far was on STV last night when Nicola McAlley's voiceover was referring to the Chemical Brothers as the on screen shot showed two guys carrying a chemical toilet across a field. Not a coincidence, I'm sure! I'm not a pop fan. Who are the Chemical Brothers? Is one of them an Iraqi called Chemical Ali?

I've been watching it come together over the last few weeks as part of my daily commute and to my mind they'll never be ready for Friday! The big blue tent's up (holds 10 000 apparently), the 24 hour campsite bar tent's up, theres a field of wigwams and loads of banners and lights. Food vans were arriving this evening (fecking 30 mph all the way from town!!!!) and its only muddy right at the entrance.

Woo hoo!!!!!!!!  :003: :003: :003:

I'll give you some good records to take along and you can ask the disc jockey if he would play them on his gramaphone for you. Something catchy for you to get you going and tapping your feet. Mind and take your leg warmers in case it turns chilly later on.

groovy baby :021:
