Many of you may have heard of the heartbleed bug that is said to potentially affect about 2/3 of websites that employ ssl encryption. The bug basically only affects sites - or portions of sites - that start with https and not those that start just http

 

in terms of CTO we are NOT affected as we do not have any https pages. any payments made (eg player sponsorship) is handled offsite - in our case by paypal, which reports as being unaffected.

 

ICTFC.com is also unaffected as is sagepay which is used for club shop payments.

 

We used https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/index.html to test this
