not even open all mics this week .... just 'updates during Aberdeen -v- Motherwell'. PATHETIC

As usual we are an after thought!

--------------------------------------------

Aberdeen v motherwell - Bt sport , bbc radio

Celtic v Dundee utd - sky sports

Inverness v St johnstone - Nothing....

gotta love the bbc for that logic

:amazed:

"Remember that Inverness Caley Thistle and St Johnstone are slugging it out head-to-head for fifth place. Caley Thistle are a point clear of the visitors. It is not just about bragging rights but also bonus money, yesterday's win for Ross County over Partick Thistle having meant an extra £200,000 in the Dingwall club's coffers for finishing seventh."

Just thought I would post this stat here!

It was £75k per place last season, will be similar this year that £200k figure was because they went up a number of places in a day. Saying that finishing 5th rather than 6th will pay the wages of a couple of players for next season. Ideally I'd like to see us get out of negative goal difference but I can't see it.

The difference between 5th and 6th is 86k. The teams in the top 6 earn less money this season because of financial restructuring. Bottom six teams and sides in the Championship earn much more.

Pretty uneventful first half, decent save from Brill. Lots of sidewards passing but not a lot gong forward. at least we have not conceded a goal, so here's hoping for a better second half.

All in all a decent result to end the season and put some money back into my depleted Coral account for the first time in a while:

Positives:

1) 2nd consecutive top 6 finish

2) More points than last season

3) Only conceded 44 goals - 4th best defence in the league

4) Reached our first major cup final

5) Scored as many as we conceded

6) Some good young players coming through the system

7) Squad signed up for next season

8) Highland derbies to look forward to again next season

Disappointments:

1) 4th was a real possibility

2) Only scored 44 goals - 3rd worst strike rate in the league (a honour shared with County) (Hibs 31, St.Mirren 39)

3) Lost our first major cup final

4) Conceded as many as we scored

Our wee club with our wee support in our wee stadium has produced another big season. Consistently punching above our weight regardless of managerial team. I am very proud of every single player who has contributed to ICT,s succes this season.

Just noticed that the game is on alba at half past six.

As Captain Mainwaring used to say..... "I was waiting for someone to notice that". Except I really WAS waiting for someone to notice it.

Full game "as live" coverage. Programme on from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Post match interviews with Ryan Christie and Graeme Shinnie.
