The quality of stuff coming out of the BBC when it comes to Scottish football has been annoying me for some time, but tonight really brought things to a head.

To say that the commentary lacked impartiality would be an understatement.

At one point that fat erse Preston was suggesting that Utd players should go down so that the ref could even things up red card wise.

Then after Raven's lucky escape, Nob Maclean said that Raven walked away sheepishly, which wasn't surprising given the club he plays for.

Feck the lot of them.

The quality of reporting on BBC is utter sh!te, as is the quality of most of the pundits and football programmes that are produced (Sportscene, Sportsound, OAM, off the ball etc). Some of the commentators are OK, but most are amateurs. Unfortunately, the BBC is the window onto Scottish football and the weak presenting reflects on the product they are presenting......the last thing that Scottish football needs!

After all the recent complaints about the terrible coverage we get from the BBC, they dedicate a prime time Saturday evening show to ICT.......and we don't show up.

The ability and quality of BBC pundits is very questionable.

 

The language used is low standard wegie i.e. "he went and shot"!

 

English or scots is rarely used and sometimes it is difficult to follow the pundit reasoning. This is usually due to their allegiances and it makes them very biased against any non central-belt team.

 

It fair to say that the individuals have been good footballers in their early life but their ability to develop language skills is dubious.

Actually, and to be fair, dropping the H is one thing Scottish pundits are not guilty of...

I feel sorry for BBC Radio pundits watching us play - we pass the ball so well and so often that they can't keep track of where the ball is and what players are involved. They don't get time to pull out their drivelly cliches they prepared earlier.

I was on my sick bed last night and it drove me batty trying to work out where the ball was on the pitch last night in amongst the usuall gibberrish. Even open all mikes might have been on a par.

To me it appeared they couldn't get our game out of the way quick enough, so that they could start talking about all things Rangers.

Spot on Rasczac, they certainly sounded more enthusiastic speaking about them rather than our match!

I was listening to Radio Scotland on the way home from the match and rather enjoyed hearing about the Rangers' failure to win any of their last 3 games.

The BBC TV coverage of our game against RR amounts 1 minute 59 seconds!

 

Despite being 3rd in the league and into the semi-finals of the cup ICT get barely a mention!

 

Is this a plot? Am I getting paranoid?

That's about all there was of highlights, the rest was just huff and puff football.

Switched on BBC Scotland tonight trying to decide which team to dislike most:

Our championship rivals or the one who could give us a local rivalry.

In the end I couldn's stand more that the first half amateurish drivel - they even made Willie Miller seem calm, composed and to have been the beneficiary of a few good elocution lessons.

Every time anything looked like happening they got over-excited, grabbed the mike and made everything echo madly.
