Interesting to observe that when these people feel contradicted or challenged, they consistently resort to holding up the paranoid outpourings of Separatist "bloggers" as the absolute truth whilst reverting to the feral behaviour of the nationalist street mob.

Better get that second referendum in soon chaps -  before too many more of your supporters tumble to the fact that the backside has actually fallen out of the oil thing!

Interesting to observe that when these people feel contradicted or challenged, they consistently resort to holding up the rabid ravings of the Tory dominated press as absolute truth whilst reverting to the sneering sniping of the terminally cringe infected.

There you go then - rabid ravings of (cue buzzword) Tory press in head to head with the absolute truth of Whinge Over Skintland and associated Chippyjimmy Cybernat bloggers. Pesky Tories again, eh?

And your point is? Are you saying "Rabid ravings" is so much more offensive than "paranoid outpourings"? You choose to believe one "truth" and I choose another. Neither of us have a monopoly on that. But my problem with your posts Charles, is that they drip with sneering condescension. You like to portray "cybernats" as divisive. You sure as hell aren't bringing anyone to your point of view by making reasoned arguments. Constant "jokes" about Nuremberg rallies and "mein Banff" are just puerile and I would've thought below you. Then again.......

I must have caught the "sneering condescension" bit from Alex Salmond!

And of course the Cybernats are divisive, sniping and undermining as they do from the anonymity of computers with Lion Rampant or Mel Gibson screensavers in saltire swathed darkened rooms.

The whole nationalist movement is divisive, especially their use of the age old fundamental nationalist strategy of misappropriating national emblems to parade through the streets with and identifying groups such as Tories and the English as a focus for breeding discontent.

Hence the pretty obvious parallels with the Nuremberg Rallies, "Mein Banff" (aka "Yes Scotland: My Part In Its Downfall"), the presentation as one of national and Party insignia etc etc. But don't worry. It's not just the SNP who are adopting many of the historically traditional, unsavoury features of their political persuasion. The Labour Party is going along the same lines with respect to Socialism, albeit in a manner which has rather more features of a caricature. This new lot are straight out of Citizen Smith or even Yes Minister, aren't they? I mean a Shadow Agriculture Minister who is a rampant militant Vegan while many of the rest seem to have found their own pet terrorist organisation, Middle East or Irish, to espouse.

You see, it's not just the Nats that the problem lies with, although they are an especially unpleasant variant of it. It's the whole system of political parties which means that politics operates not for the benefit of the people but for that of these political parties and the individuals who lie, cheat or fornicate their way into positions of influence within them.

I am prepared to accept that CB is probably an educated and intelligent poster which makes it all the more disappointing that I can't think of a single post of his which is based on fact, logic or reasoned argument rather than the sneering condescension, and tasteless, inappropriate and frankly unfunny attempts at humour that robbbylad alludes to.

Charlesis probably quite well educated. He was, after all, a person who imparted knowledge to the young. Alas he is also a person of small stature with a very large quota of wind up skills. Even Charles cant be stupid enough to believe some of the things he writes on here.

He does have a great skill of turning one subject into another. This thread started out as a discussion on the merits of Corbyn and has turned into another 'fear of independence' thread.
