NPL Review for Game 45

Finally the pain and suffering is over, we’re down to the Championship. Some exciting games to look forward in that league for sure.

No maximums in any section for this, the last NPL game of the season.

lilmissictbabe got the Crowd Section bonus – just ONE over. :frustrated01:

caleymac got the only correct FT score. :clapoverhead:

So, this leaves me to announce that this seasons NPL Champion is...

DoofersDad – a deserved victory having led the way from week 13.

Well done to DD, a worthy winner, but you ran him very close Gringo.   And of course, I'm sure I speak for everyone in thanking you, Gringo, for another well run, and enjoyable competition.  This forum would be much the poorer without it, andI can only say 'thanks again' for the many hours you dedicate for our enjoyment.

My sincere congratulations to DoofersDad on taking the 2016-2017 NPL title.

DD took the top spot in Week 13 and just stayed there. He resisted a late challenge and may be thankful that we haven't got two extra play-off games to fit in now

The NPL will be back next season for the challenges of the Championship and.....the diddy cup

Well said. Gringo's efforts, for no reward, are very much appreciated by us all. My downfall this season was in predicting too many successful results for us whilst such games were, sadly, all too few.

After falling miserably in previous seasons I was surprised to find myself at the top of the table and certainly did not expect to stay there. Echos of Leicester City last year!  Squeaky bum time at the end though.

Thanks Gringo for all the effort you put into this and giving us all a bit of light relief when things go less well on the park.    As Kingsmills says, it is very much appreciated.
