Well done to the youngsters for negotiating a potentially difficult away tie and being in the draw for the next round

The present is pretty bleak but it looks like there might be reason for some optimism about the future.

Team out warming up for they Scottish Youth Cup match v Forfar. @ Station Park, Forfar https://www.instagram.com/p/BZtIk9_lqIE/

Mckay swings a free kick in, knocked up in the air and McRitchie gets on the end of the 2nd ball to head it home past the keeper.....#BOOM

Forfar awarded a penalty.....not convinced! Hoban gets a hand to it, but not enough to keep it out. Forfar 1 v 1 #ICTFC

Ball fed through to Macrae who remains composed and slides it past the outrushing keeper......#BOOM 1-2

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL CHALMERS

FT of ET : Forfar 1 v 3 #ICTFC ....and we're in the hat for the next round of the Scottish Youth Cup. 1-3

Just watched the video. Great to see players in an ICT strip that look like they want to attack and are capable of putting the ball in the back of the net. Plus managing to keep it out of their own net, except for a penalty that Daniel Hoban was very unlucky not to save.

Also they looked happy and not trudging about with their faces tripping them.

The future is bright. Just hope the current incumbents of the 1st team don't leave the youth having to get out of League 2 by the end of the decade. :ictscarf:

Very impressive. It would be good to see anything like that level of skill, commitment and entertainment from the first team at the moment.

Some promising displays there!

Expect them all to be released in the summer then, just like most of the youth players over the last years
