If, as has been stated, Trafford suffered a concussion then it's not his choice as to whether he plays on Saturday.  Rules exist which state minimum lay off periods. From memory, there's a minimum 7 day rest period (or until symptoms disappear, whichever is longer).  That's then followed by a 4 stage return to play process which takes at least 4 days.

You're right re there being specific rules - the guidance is here https://sportscotland.org.uk/media-imported/1534421/scottish-sports-concussion-guidance.pdf

That said, at the end of last season Alex Fisher talked about getting concussed at Dens Park in the penultimate game of the campaign and still started against Motherwell 4 days later. Make of that what you will.

Anybody know who our young central midfielders are? Wouldn't like to see them blooded on Saturday when they haven't made the bench all season.

If our other defenders are fit then playing Coll in front of the back 4 might be a partial solution.

Jack Brown, one of our youngsters, is a central midfielder apparently. That's only going off 1 tweet though....

If Trafford doesn't make it and we don't risk Doran, what about:

Ridgers

Mckay, Warren, Donaldson, Calder

Mulraney, Seedorf, Chalmers, Bell

Oakley, Austin

With no Vigurs, Polworth or Doran.

Also swap Mulraney for Trafford, this might be the starting 11 in 2018/19 season.

Seedorf in the games he played looked good and was player of the month before injury so it will be good if he can slip into midfield with chalmers. The big issue will be who can thread a pass through to create a chance and i think that will come down to baird or chalmers so i think baird has to play even if its in the advanced midfield role as we cant risk doran.
