    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...

  5. Considering 8 of our players at full time were loan players I don't think they'll be too concerned about playing in League 1. Back to back wins has given players a much needed boost the players are finally gelling together. Big Dunc has actually got a couple of things right tactics wise ️ can't believe I'm actually saying this but the team seem to be turning things round whether it's too late remains to be seen. If we do fall into the play offs I can't see Alloa, Cove or Montrose beating us now. Hamilton is a concern but i reckon we have enough to see them off. Tough season for every ICT fan & I get the frustrations & skepticism but back the team & manager, let's see what happens before we start having nightmares about League 1
  6. The Mantis welcomes this Anyway I’ll go for Arbroath @4.2
  7. New bins arrived this week from Highland Council. I'm going to struggle to fit Ferguson, Gardiner and the 23/24 season in the new grey rubbish bin.
  8. Did you check your spam folder? Probably in there with all Big Dunc's shooting drills.
  9. At full time last night, we had 8 loan players on the pitch and the only players actually ours were Ridgers, Harper and Mckay.
  10. Do you think the criticism hasn’t been merited then?
  11. Oh dear - same old excuses - same old script - clearly delusional and body language shows that he really doesn't care
  12. This was a bit like when we lost to Dundee United at home Yes...I do feel we have enough in us to stay up even if we do it via the dreaded play-off. Caveat to that is Samuel staying fit along with Kerr, Anderon and McAllister. Defensively we are in good shape. I still think that Austin Samuels could have a role especially if we end up in the play-offs
  13. We were unlucky, weren't we >>>
  14. I thought Lawal look decent. Did a fair bit of ball winning and was always looking to go forward. The kind of if busy player you need to stop the opposition getting too much time on the ball and force them into making errors. The only player that stood out for the wrong reasons was Carragher who had more than a few bomb scare moments. Anderson didn't have a great game but there's nothing specific I can recall where you'd say he was awful. If that was the kind of football on display every week then fans might be frustrated by results but they couldn't deny they were being entertained. Finally, was Ferguson wearing his trousers at half mast in mourning for our season?
  15. If you've no plans for tonight, why not join us at the Race Night at 1900 at the Caley Club? Admission is only £5 with tickets available from the Caley Club or by contacting the Supporters Trust (on Facebook, by e-mail to info@ictsupporterstrust.org, or by completing the form on our "contact us" page https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/contact). Tickets will also be available at the door on the evening. Thank you again to our sponsors who have made this event possible: Stagecoach, D&E Coaches, Inverness Computer Centre, Scottish Citylink, Ness City Tyres and the ICTFC Social Club.
  16. With respect I think we have two games left but I agree with you.
  17. Can't quite believe we didn't win that game let alone get a point. Macallister needs to start the remaining games as he was good when he got on. If Lawal doesn't play another game I'd be happy, he was dreadful. Playing like that we can win at least 2 of the last 3 games at least so I think we will be safe
  18. NPL Review for Game 42 How the heck did we not win that match? So much bad luck and a goalie on form. No maximums in this game. Mrs Gringo got the Crowd Section bonus – just 4 over. 19. Aidan Wilson for Inverurie on Wednesday.
  20. There wasn’t much difference last night to how we have been playing recently. Here’s hoping we get the testimonial for Doran in the summer now.
  21. Did the players make more of an effort last night as it was on TV? Putting themselves in the shop window for 24/25? Wanting to get a Championship club for next season, as opposed to being in League 1? None of our team are good enough for getting interest from a Premiership club. Sadly, given Doran's reaction I think that's his last game for ICT.
  22. Dunfermline v ict this season, they hit the woodwork 8 times. we have played like that all season, we conceded and didnt score

  24. How the f*** did we lose that, we were by miles the better team yet once again don't get anything due to schoolboy defending (which is unacceptable at this level imo), why the hell was Ridgers in that position anyway, does he not trust his defenders or something!! Has any team hit the bar/post as many as FIVE times because I certainly doubt it very much and do any team get as jammy as Raith because, again I doubt it! You can certainly see why they were on a rotten run of form going into this but of course it's against us they halt that run! In terms of ourselves, if we play like that in the next 2 then we certainly should win both and same goes for the inevitable play off games but we NEED to address this home form as it's beyond unacceptable and abysmal now! Btw I had to create another account as I couldn't remember my password and everytime I tried to reset the password I didn't get an email , usually my phone saves passwords too but this time it didn't .
  25. **** it, let's get another centre back. Christ knows we need them.
  26. I’ve only missed one home game all season, league, cup and friendlies, so I’ve suffered a lot! Tonight was one of our best home performances and I am gutted we got nothing from it. The woodwork saved Raith on four occasions and their goalie had several tremendous saves. Raith caught us out with one of their few chances. McAllister, Samuel and Harper were the picks for me, but no one can fault the effort of any of our players. We need to pick ourselves up and ensure we beat Dunfermline next week (and hope they win against Queens Park tomorrow).
  27. Where would we be if we had another forward to support Samuel ?
