Caley Jags fans get loyalty bonus

Caley Thistle are refusing to cash in on their return to the SPL, and are offering a 10 per cent discount to all season ticket holders who stayed loyal during their season in the First Division.

The club is expanding its 'grow our future market' strategy by increasing free season tickets for children aged under eight to under 12.

Chairman George Fraser revealed:"There may have been the temptation to cash in on our revenue stream now we're back in the top flight. We're in a challenging economic environment for supporters as well as football clubs.

"A year ago we promised fans who stuck with us a discount if we got back to the SPL, and we're honoring that by giving them 10 per cent off if they renew by June 30. Now that Rangers, Celtic and the rest will be returning to Inverness , it makes it a colossal bargain.

"But we'd rather have bigger support by offering below the average SPL price levels than charge more and deter fans."

Mr Fraser added:"We're also modernising the way we sell tickets, with sales via the Ticketmaster agency online or the club hotline. When sales open on Friday, the only people who need to come to the stadium are those who wish to spread payments, alternatively they can download their form and return by post, as they need to sign a direct debit form for a no-deposit deal of ten monthly payments. It's a smoother way to do things, makes it much easier for fans who live further afield or who cannot come to the stadium during their working week."

Season ticket holders who do not renew by June 30 will have their seats released for general sale. To buy or renew, fans can go online to www.mfr.co.uk or call the club hotline on 0844 847 1888.

Commercial manager Darren MacKintosh said that extending the free kids tickets to under 12s is a key part of the club's ongoing commitment to the future fans. "We're encouraging youngsters to get involved early, and underlining our message that we're a family-friendly club. These seats will be available in the Family Section and are for two children per paying adult, which has been warmly welcomed by mums and dads."

UPDATE - Please note any existing season ticket holders wishing to relocate their seats within the stadium cannot do this online or via the ICTFC Hotline. We can offer this relocation service Wednesday to Friday by coming to the Stadium Shop. Alternatively any existing season ticket allocations not taken up by 30th June will be released (for a period of 3 days) to current season ticket holders wishing to relocate should the opportunity arise by a similar system as detailed above prior to going on general sale.
