It has now been confirmed that two players have left ICT during the transfer window with one player coming in.
In comes Nauris Bulvitus until the end of the season after a deal was agreed with his Latvian Club but out go Dougie Imrie for a reputed £40K to Hamilton Accies and Andrew Barrowman to former club Ross County after negotiating a release from ICT.
There is no fee involved for Barrowman but it was quoted on deadline day that ICT may have had to pay some compensation to the player to end his contract.
Dougie Imrie: Dougie was signed from Clyde in January 2008 and made 73 appearances for ICT (58 starts, 15 as a sub).
His first appearance for ICT was against St Mirren in Paisley on 9th February 2008 in a 1-1 draw and he made his full debut the following week at the Caledonian Stadium in another 1-1 draw, this time with Dundee United. His first goal for the club - an absolute peach too - came on the 19th April 2008 in a league match against Kilmarnock which ICT won 3-0.
During his time at ICT he scored a total of 10 goals, picked up 10 yellow cards and 1 red which came in this season's challenge Cup Final against Dundee.
Andrew Barrowman: Andy was a player who Craig Brewster made his main target at the start of the 08/09 season having scored 29 goals for Ross County the previous season as they clawed their way back up from Div 2.
Sadly, Barrowman could not repeat that form for his new gaffer and scored only twice for ICT in 2008/09 in 33 appearances. Andy made a total of 41 appearances for ICT (17 starts, 24 as a sub) scoring a total of 3 goals and picking up 4 yellows and a red.
His first appearance for ICT was at Pittodrie on 9th August 2008 when for the first time in 18 attempts, ICT finally beat the Dons. Barrowman was instrumental in this defeat as he scored the first goal of this match and of his Caley Thistle career. He next scored 7 weeks later against Kilmarnock in a 3-1 win at the Caledonian Stadium but suffered a goal drought after that and didnt score his third and final goal for the club until almost a year later in the 3-2 defeat by Motherwell in this season's League Cup. His one red card for the club came in a 2-2 draw away to Arbroath in the 08/09 League Cup
Also heading out the door at the Caledonian Stadium during this transfer window, but only on loan, are striker Shane Sutherland and midfielder Gavin Morrison who both head to Elgin for some first team experience and midfielder Andrew Macaskill (17) who has joined Clach until the end of the season.
