      Teaser Paragraph:

    Tell us about it

    We all take things for granted in life. On Saturday's, many of us have a routine that we follow preparing ourselves for the matchday experience. Get up, dust ourselves down after Friday night, big breakfast, check the websites for latest gossip then off down to the pub to meet your mates and get a few beers down your throat to loosen the voice. All part of a normal Saturday's preparation for the game.

    But hold on a minute. Some people are less fortunate than others and need assistance to enjoy the day out. That does not make them less of a supporter than the able bodied amongst us. But preparing for what is a routine day out for me, is a lot more challenging and can lead to barriers having to be crossed before the enjoyment begins.

    Well, Keith Ferguson, the Western European Development Officer would like to hear from you if your day is not so hassle free. He is looking for stories from disabled fans to add to the CAFE; that's the Centre for Access to Football in Europe and the website is here http://www.cafefootb...-motorbike.aspx . These stories can be about anything to do with your experience attending football games. How does it make you feel, how you benefitted from the day out, how you travelled to and from the game, basically absolutely anything concerned with your day out.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Below is Keith's plea for articles to be published on the website which will encourage others to make donations. Go on, you can do it, and we can all make a difference. Be the first Inverness Caledonian Thistle fan to have your tale published, maybe a member of CLAN has a story to tell, send it to Keith or let us know here at CTO and we can promote your stories and forward them to Keith.
    The CAFE - Centre for Access to Football in Europe are looking for stories of disabled fans going to live football matches.
    The idea is to seek out all those personal stories about how going to a game of football can make such a difference to a disabled person’s life. Sometimes beyond watching football – employment, socialisation, more confidence, new friends…….
    These stories are for our website donations page which we’ll keep going for the duration of tournament starting from anytime now.
    We want to tempt people to donate – give them a reason to do so. We are also going to add brief explanations about how a certain amount donated can be used.
    UEFA will be running a goal counter for their contribution and have already launched the exchangeyourjersey.comwebsite.
    We have stories from Eastern Europe.
    There has to be a Scottish or a Northern Ireland disabled fan out there with a story to tell!
    It doesn’t have to be long.
    If you have a story email it to me so I can have it uploaded to the website. mailto:keith@cafefootball.eu
    Thanks for taking the time to read this.
    Keith Ferguson
    Western European Development Officer
