Sorry boys, and IHE, but I have had a season ticket for Section G since the North Stand was completed and I have no intention of givingup my season ticket for somewhere else. I was there long before the "Singing Section" decided to camp in Section G after the "open seating area" was a no-go, due to over-stewarding. I enjoy being in Section G, no rain, no sun, plenty atmosphere. I also join in the singing, chanting, foot stamping and especially enjoy if someone bangs the drums (not often enough!) - where have all our drummers gone? Maybe I didn't enjoy the constant use of the 'c' word last Saturday but, I kept my mouth firmly shut then as I am not one of the "sweetie-rustlers" and have had plenty "craic" with the boy/young men behind me over the seasons/years. I did join in the chorus of "Oh Inverness" to try to encourage the team, especially in the final quarter of the game. Surely, not everyone is tarred with the same brush - I don't shout abuse about our team, or our supporters. Likewise this forum should perhaps do the same. I await the backlash - I usually get plenty when I post - which is why I seldom do.

I've been watching this topic for the last few days and for what It's worth I thought I would throw in my tuppence worth. Before the game there were many saying they would show Dougie some respect and others who appeared to have an utter dislike of the man. Whichever viewpoint you took there is absolutely no way anyone can condone the singing of 'Dougie Imrie, Paedophile'. To liken him to some of the vile people who have committed such a despicable crime against children is truly appalling. Like many others I was quite upset by his celebrations but when I sat down and thought about it, it was no more than those so called supporters deserved. I have spoken many times to those around me and stood up for the section G guys but on this occassion what could be said - Allegations - that if were true and was as public knowledge as we are led to believe would surely have gone much further than allegations. Like many others it can be a great craic winding up other players etc but somethings step over a certain line and IMHO this was one of those times. No doubt some will say to lighten up etc but sometimes people feel strongly about certain things and to top it all off, they were singing it to the same tune as Caley Thistle Champions. Sits back and waits for the slagging off

I agree with IHE !!!!!! I just did :biggrin: Stop being so melodramatic !!! Yes there are criticisms of him on here but there are just as many folk batting those criticisms back and saying that he's a young lad with lots to learn who has been thrown in at the deep end and has done reasonably well so far and shows the promise of great things to come. If he is so sensitive about internet forums then heaven help him if he ever progresses to a higher level and the media want to probe his every action !!! Most of the players I have ever spoken to know that internet criticism is the same as criticism at the stadium - it tends to be a small minority of people who no matter what the player does, can never do anything right in their eyes.

It is well known that the two most devisive characters in the dressing room when TB took over were Imrie and Barrowman.

Good God you sound like a paranoid Celtc fan . Stonewaller ? Not a chance , hardly an appeal from any of the players , never a penalty . We lost to the better , hungrier team , it happens get over it .

This topic comes up after every home game . If you dont want to miss any of the match dont go to the food kiosks , simple .

I've only seen Nick Ross play twice this season and on both occasions i haven't been overly impressed but i also wouldn't go ahead and say he was the weakest link. Considering his age he is doing well, There aren't many youth players in the past that we've had that could cope in the SPL. I think because he is replacing one of our biggest players (Richie Foran) he is being scrutinised far more than he normally would.

after reading these coments im assuming your all either players,ex players or football experts!! Nick Ross is 18 years old and still just a boy, remember giggs and more recently Mcgeady they were both very slender at that age, Nick will bulk up and get stronger you can not argue his talents plus its been like three proper games lay of the kid, we should be talking him up, HE WILL BECOME A CALEY LEGEND no dout!!

And this is from a supporter? If he's not the complete player at 18, he can **** off? Unbelievable. He's a squad player that shows some promise. The criticism is way over the top.

It may sound a wee bit inssneible fer the man who got turfed out of Tannadump fer using a swear word BUT I agree with you - to a degree. Am I not wrong in saying that the Away crowds are a real mix of ages and sexes ? There is a hard core who chant and there is the other "crew" who join in every now and again - TBH I cannot remember the last time that the entire away support STOOD up and sang in unison as they did at Tannadump - it was easier to see from the Home End But in such company the odd "rude" chant is chortled at but not repeated or if it is there is a senior derision voiced which is tolerated by the yoof. But you are both correct - supports are better when ya go through the repetoire of singing mainly the golden oldies. The "gang" at the back of Section G are the frustrated yoofs who have to watch the home performances and think that it is irritating peeple like Imrie to chant and chant the same abuse - Imrie must have feckin loved it - sadly that probably only upped his game. And dont anyone come up with the alcohol excuse - as ya can get just as much oiled at home as ya can do away. I would be a feckin season ticket holder if the TCS atmosphere was improved. And why do the feckin "tutters" and sweetie rustlers want to sit in a feckin seat behind the goals at every home match - and whilst I am on ma box - the real ABUSE from Section G is middle aged nomarks who complain about everything that a HOME player does wrong. Clear Section G of any season ticket holders but make it open space to anyone who wants to go in there and sing. Give me a feckin Yellow Jacket wiv IHE on it and I will "police" the feckin beautiful peeple who have ICT at their heart. For a few drams of course.

Swearing I am no prude. I sit in section G for the atmosphere and am fine with the occasional use of the Anglo Saxon as an unintended expletive or as a connecting, adjective, or rhyming word in a song. However, yesterday it was just offensive and not funny: Constant (and I mean constant) 'Imrie you are an F'ing C' adds nothing to the atmosphere, is not clever, and I am sure only serves to fire up the inteded recipient. This is just one of many examples. The constant reference to Imries' private life was the same. There is a difference between clever banter and slanderous base insult. But it's not just Imrie, more and more we are just hearing repetative insults to the opposition, ref etc which make the protagonist sound like an inarticulate idiot. Come on lads....you used to do a great job of livening up the North stand with wit and banter and people used to join in (I know not enough... but some). Those people on the fringes who you are trying to get to join in are just getting sickened by you and thinking of moving...or have already. If you really want to help the club you need those on the fringes, who are not brave enough to shout on their own, to join in. I have supported you on here on numerous occasions in the past but yesterday, and not for the first time, you alienated me. And you are right next to the family section!

For a moment there I thought we'd resigned Rory! Give the kid a break! It's his 1st season in the 1st team picture and he's being played out of position. Yes he does need to fill out but again, he's 18. If he tries to bulk up too much now then it will probably be more detrimentle in terms of injuries etc in the future. Im not too bothered about playing people on different wings. It can work and does for Hayes. He can be devastating when cutting in on his left. However surely it would be of more benefit to play a young unseasoned rookie in his best position and let the slightly more experienced Hayes play on the left? Just a thought. Either that or play Shinnie left side as he seems to have a good cross and weighs in with the odd goal. I won't have this pick on young Ross nonsense. It's really not on. He can only work with what he's given and no player was anywhere near good enough yesterday as a team. It really disheartens me when "fans" lay into young prospects like this. No wonder our national game is up feacal creek.

Lets retitle this thread "Scapegoat". Ross is a youngster who has earned his place but has been thrown in at the deep end becos of injury to Foran. Remember the same thing happened to Rory McAllister and how would you compare Ross to Rory ? I would say that Ross has significantly more promise of making it as a SPL player. But he needs experience - preferably from the bench - and of course he needs to muscle up - but did we not say the same about Barry Robson - or Obdhiambo - or even Rooney. Ross is the future of ICT and perhaps the finger of blame should be pointing at several of the "experienced" and seasoned professionals who were playing alongside Ross yesterday. And - here comes Hairy Chibber - as it completely frustates me that we continue to play Ross on his wrong foot. I can appreciate Hayes as he does come inside - but Ross to me is more of yer traditional Scottish right winger who uses his pace to hit the bye line. I would prefer to see Hayes and Ross switch - even fer longer periods in a game - and I can accept that he is just keeping the left berth warm fer Foran and Hayes will be first choice on the right - BUT it has to be horses for courses and ya play individuals to their strength and to the ultimate benefit of the team. TB frustrates me in regard to his apparent tactical reluctance to do this.

Pedz.... You could have started a thread on any of our players yesterday, inviting others to submit similarly abusive comments. Remember it is a team game - yesterday the whole feckin team was abysmal - why single out just 1 player?

I couldnt believe how long he lasted he should have been hooked at half time. I'm sorry he can either go to the gym and bulk up or he can **** off cos he will not make at a high level if he gets outmuscled as easily as he does currently. I for one would give Shinnie (a natural left sided player) who has more pace and is stronger should be given chance.

I see the debate about Nick Ross as two fold. Firstly......as it stands...i would agree...he isnt up to the job atm. He is too easily put off the ball etc etc On the other hand....he is only young and has got time in his favour to develop, hopefully into a good player. Butchers hand has been forced and he needs to play him, due to the lack of cover in the squad. So, we are just going to need to muddle thro with him until things improve.

absolute twaddle!! your basing your opinion on a booking and a sending off which while annoying was borne through frustration?? have you never done anything in the heat of the moment? Imrie was not to blame for that defeat in Perth, our second half collapse was. i always thought Imrie was a good player although admittedly sometimes hot-headed and inconsistent but always a trier. He was definitely an asset to have in the team and still to this day I think getting rid of him was a mistake. I think he proved this by getting more than 4 MoM awards for Hamilton in the SPL immediately after he left us Whether he is a likable character or not is not the case in hand. he winds folk up but at the end of the day he has the ability to win games. as he did for us and as he did for hamilton today much to our annoyance.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but please be aware that we are also entitled - as owners of this site - to choose not to display that opinion.

right back at you i must admit he was decent against united and he was utter ***** today therefore he has not improved every game

three times yesterday all ross had to do was cross the ball from near the bye line, each time he hit the defender resulting in a corner. from hamiltons point of view this is excellent defending, stopping crosses coming in. from an ict view it is crap not getting the ball past the first defender. butcher talks the boy up because he has to as he has no one else to play while foran is out injured. as soon as foran comes back he will dissapear to the bench where he belongs. could he please take odiambo with him. the little black hamilton centre forward gave him a lesson yesterday, receive pass, control ball, hold off defender, bring someone else into play. odiambo receive pass, take a touch like an elephant, loose ball, pressure back on our defence.

Is it just me and a very select few on CTO who think nick ross is utter p***? He was horrible today, he is too slow and weak for this league i think he should hit the gym a lot more. I think if foran doesn't return i would like to see either shinnie or mcbain to be given a run.
