  1. And if we can't manage that we could always follow the example of the FC Magdeburg fans who felt the need to show their misfiring forwards where the goal is!

  2. There's quite a few Caley Thistle fans that stay away from Pittodrie - especially after the shambles of last season. Twenty two Caley Thistle fans ejected from the stadium by stewards using force, attempting confrontations with fans and with the stewards behaving like hooligans. On that day, there were no police present at Pittodrie - it was an experiment that backfired. The same happened earlier this season and also well into double figures, Motherwell fans were treated the same way. It made the press aided by Tam Cowan. I was delighted to find out on Saturday that Pittodrie have a revised 'safe standing policy' for the away fans. The back six rows are now reserved for standing. No need for these new flat 'safe standing' seats that's been talked about. Simply crowd control supervision so that there is 1 person to each seat / space. No views are blocked, no hassle, and everyone was 'safe'. They also appeared to have lots of new stewards from the last time. Many people will know instantly who i'm on about when I mention the female steward with the blonde hair who usually stands at the top of the stairs. The same one who i've seen shout and scream at fans and pick on kids at will. I also found out that she has been demoted and is no longer allowed near away fans due to her bullying and intimidating attitude. Pleasing. Suddenly Aberdeen has gone from a poor match day experience to a very enjoyable one! Of course, our win helped! So, I am now looking forward to the next trip to Pittodrie (whilst standing safely).

  3. Hello Mr Bear, might i suggest we do a player swap, we have one combative and consistent defender called David Proctor and a hard working utility player called Claude Gnakpa, they are yours in exchange for Adam Rooney, we get our vacant striker and you get a straight exchange plus one more player added to your small squad - is it a deal?

  4. Sorry not Adam, although to be honest he has not been a massive success for us, more of a holding player than an out and out goal scorer. Still wouldn't let him go though as we are so desperate for players. Thanks for the tips re-pubs, might give the ITC club a shout :) Should be an interesting game, you need the points, they need em etc etc. I came to Inverness a few years back and whilst I was there paid a visit to the ground and asked if I could look around. The club secretary stopped what she was doing and gave me a personal tour. Have always had a soft spot for em since then. Good luck for the rest of the season and Keep Right On!

  5. If you are Adam Rooney being interviewed for the current vacancy of striker at ICT, then you are very welcome but you shouldn't really be drinking before the match!

  6. At the end of the day, ICT have been very lucky in some ways ...... we have generally had people at the helm, or in positions of extreme influence due to their own shareholdings, or control over other (company/organisational) shareholdings, who have had our club's best interests at heart. Regardless of anyone's personal opinions about Messrs McGillivray, Sutherland, Savage, Catto, Fraser, et all ... I firmly believe they have all been of a mind to try and move the club forward in their own way(s) and for the most part they have done that. If you doubt that, sit back and think for a moment and reflect on the next phrase .... Highland League to Scottish Premier League in 10 years !!!!! It is true to say that not everyone has agreed with everything each of these individuals did, that not everything they did may have been the correct decision, or that some "hard" decisions may have been unpalatable to some of our support, and that there have also been some fairly high profile personality clashes between them ... but ultimately, this club has moved forward under each and every one of them whether in a chairmanship role, a directorship or just as a major shareholder or person of influence. It is also true to say that not one of the names mentioned has got rich off the back of ICT, if anything, they probably dropped a zero or two off their personal wealth by being involved in ICT. There may have been an element of benefit in terms of local PR to their businesses, but not to the detriment of ICT. Its more of a symbiotic relationship than anything else. Look around football in both England and Scotland and you can find plenty of examples past and present where this is not the case ...... As for the group of ex-pats going under the Muirfield Mills name, I know nothing of who they are, what they are offering, or what they want in return other than what I have read on here or in other corners of the Internet, but as an ex-pat myself (and not one associated with this group I hasten to add), I know that far from waning, my support for ICT continues to grow ... I guess absence does make the heart grow fonder, and it also has the added benefit of removing some of the political bullshit that tends to fly around if you start talking about power struggles !!! CaleyD mentioned earlier up in the thread, that the motive in his opinion is unlikely to be asset stripping as we have no assets to strip, and I agree with this assessment ... If these guys are truly ICT fans who have a bit of money and want to try and continue to move the club forward then I am 100% behind that notion ... Many of us have posted about the few million we would throw at ICT if we got a huge lottery win .... these guys may be of more modest means, but in this climate, throwing money at a smaller football club (with no tangible assets) is done for love not return on investment so it is to be applauded ! I dont really give a rats ass who they are friends with, or who they may or may not have on their Christmas card list .... if their motive is the continued progressions and success of ICT then its something I can wholeheartedly get behind.

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...

    • Partick 1-0 Inverness CT - Report
Big Trouble Down the Dump: Billy Mckay was back in the starting XI along with Samson Lawal with Pepple dropping to the bench and Shaw out for the season. Both teams had seven on the bench with Roddy MacGregor getting a rare seat. Scott Robinson scored the only goal of the game just before the break. Inverness were reduced to ten men when Cammy Kerr was sent off just after an hour. Despite creating more opportunities, the points just evaded us.

      Meh!
