  1. Leaving aside the forums latest Walter Mitty, football fans really need to have a look at themselves sometimes. Being a teacher and working in the emergency services are vital jobs, you need to be trained for years and dedicated to your profession to do it. Why should the authorities in charge of these services push a load of ex footballers ahead of other applicants? The entire world does not have making Caley a good team as a goal. And specifically to teaching, you really should have a degree in the subject you are seeking to teach, how many footballers meet that criteria? If footballers want to retrain as teachers then that’s fine but the world doesn’t owe them a living.

  5. I held off initially last season but ended up getting a half ST, after such a spirited end and the fact they've priced them appropriately means I'll be at the shop Monday morning to renew mine ?

  6. £250 for me and the 2 kids. Excellent value and well done for getting them out quickly too.

  7. That's a great deal. Works out at roughly 13 quid a game. Allows you to miss quite a few games and still not be out of pocket

  8. You won't be saying that when he becomes our new chairman and leads the club to glory! Big Blair, his brother in China and his polecat sound like a winning formula to me.

  9. I can't say I'm all that interested in the wedding of two people I don't know, have never met and who don't know me either. On the other hand, that nice young couple who saved hard to buy the house up the road and who greet me with a smile and a hello every time they see me - that's different.

  10. The real problem with being a teacher in the government make it so much harder for you with it being more less impossible to get a job doing it. For example my oldest brother is a teacher in China he gets paid 20 times the average wage of a Chinese person and free flat or house with his job and also like 50 helpers who work for him. He can also buy within 6 months quite easy flat or small house with his wages easy and you get very decent holidays like he just worked 2 months and get got 2 weeks of to me that sounds pretty good to me. One final part I want to include he gets a guaranteed job in China before he even steps into China 6 months in advance to be fair if I did not have my own businesses going I would probably do same as him.

  11. Here are the draw results for 2017/18 season to see who receives Liam Polworth's signed shirt from this season just past. WINNER - SIGNED SHIRT : @The_Sponge ~ Please PM me for details on how to claim your prize The names in the hat for each of the seasons are based on the members who joined the sponsorship group each year (see topic linked below). The draw itself is conducted using a random generator website (www.randompicker.com). We have used this same site to conduct all our draws over the years, and have also successfully conducted several test draws on the current data that completed without any issues. The draw is completely and utterly random and no-one on CTO or within ICT has any influence or control over the names that come up. This is important to note as there are people connected with the club and with CTO who have subscribed and are therefore eligible and who will not be excluded from the draw. If anyone has any concerns or questions about this process please feel free to PM me or mention it in the thread below. 2017-18: List of participants 2017-18 Draw Result on the randompicker website

  13. I am not he lives in China now. What would be the point of lying about that? Loads of people teach in China since you get job overall so easy and get good lifestyle doing it overall.

  14. Interesting idea, and well-worthy of discussion. Not quite the same scenario, but back in Highland League days, Jock McDonald sometimes offered a job at Tomatin Distillery to a player whom he was trying to persuade to sign for Thistle. Useful if it was someone from outside the area, with no local connections. If memory serves me right, Ian Cumming, the captain of his first league-winning team, was one such. There may well have been others.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...
