  1. No he wasn't and that goal against Hibs was the only thing of note from him in his time here. He would not survive 10 minutes in the Championship. Why do some people want us to keep looking backwards to sign players?

  2. Good for him in some respects. He is a County fan and a member of the Ross Shire community and puts his money where his mouth is. Our job is to show him and County that money isn't everything and with team spirit, sound coaching and vocal backing from the stands we are capable of getting promoted on much more meagre resources.

  3. I dunno. Depends if we're winning or not!

  4. I think we're building the team quite nicely for next season but it's early days. Some of the youngsters are going to have to step up to the plate. The Championship is a tough league to get out of and the 2018/2019 season is going to be no different. Given our post-cup run I am optimistic for our fortunes.

  5. Much like a large proportion of our support who like to live in denial and chastise anyone who is critical or the clubs financial structuring and the board that steer it.

  6. It's been a pleasure to be able to put on transport for fans on away days .We have only been able to do this with the support of fans who travel with us as we depend wholly on ....Sponsors ....Donations ...and a lot of effort from our dedicated Committee. We hope it continues for another very successful year and with that in mind would appreciate the great support we have had to date and are always happy to see new faces.Looking forward to seeing you All next season .

  7. I agree. I think this season for them a prime example of how throwing money at players who dont care doesnt work.

  8. Thankfully, John Robertson seems very much to be looking forwards rather than backwards.

  9. He financed a hugely expensive team of duds, including managers last season, that gained less points than we did under a complete failure rookie manager. Its not all about finance and I seriously doubt Ketts and Fergs will get it right at the first time of asking

  10. I dream that we will win the Championship and Scottish Cup double next season. That's a fact.

  11. Again we could not afford him and he has not performed since he left us so it's a no from me!

  13. Seemingly the mass brawl started after Cowdenbeath's third goal was given after one of their players rugby tackled the Cove goalkeeper. I wonder type of referee would make such a terrible decision... Oh! It was John McKendrick! Fancy that...

  14. Footballer's 99% of the time go with the money. County as always have more money than us, ergo there's no chance he's staying sadly.

  15. and what's wrong with "pride of the highlands"??

  16. Or be forced to sit through the big screen showings of East Enders and the Leonard Cohen tribute concert which are being organised at the Global Energy Stadium to cheer up the County fans.

  17. The eventual calling of the meeting is obviously welcome, but this revelation has uncomfortable echoes of the recent past. And again, in terms of what would be "acceptable", we return to the straight fact that this is a limited company with legally binding articles of association which must be adhered to. Or do you go down the road of having a vote and then finding it challenged by the losing side on the basis that the proxy procedures were incorrectly administered?

  19. I think it only right to thank this obviously dedicated Committee. Wish I was there to be on the bus. You all have a great time next season and keep up the fantastic work. I once went on a sports' outing bus and it ended in a near riot. No harm was ever intended by any of the participants, however, except that that ski club called the "Inside Edge" was regarded by some of the higher class skiers here in Vancouver as, well, a bit of a rough lot. I used to go with my own club , called the Outsetters, where everyone was slightly tamer and non-controversial. After our day out in Washington State in the U.S. we entered the bus for the return trip to Vancouver and soon the noise level started to rise to fever pitch. Booze flowed, voices rose and the atmosphere became more smoke filled than oxygenated. Spirits got higher and higher and the songs started up etc. Well, I can't imagine how the driver got back to Vancouver either sane or not asphyxiated or not deaf,. I think I remember adding a few bucks to the hat that went round for the Driver and I think he realised that we actually were all great people, men and ladies. I found the outing to be fun-filled and exciting and found nobody to be offensive or stupid. But when I got to our destination I felt it would be better if I skied alone , and not join the other guys since I wanted to arrive home in one piece. I had noticed the look in their eyes as we approached the mountain and realised that all-out speed and dare-devil dives off cliffs was probably going to be the order of the day . The speed on a standard run I did not mind but the latter d-d-d's was clearly somewhat beyond me at that stage so ....what would you have done, eh? Was I chicken or just smart?

  20. Not a user as I never travel from Inverness but I am sure that an equally big thanks is due to yourself and the others who spare their personal time and effort to provide this valuable service season after season.

  22. Not quite so dangerous BS as those who add fuel to harmful and unfounded rumours about the club heading for administration.

  25. The whole "rejects" thing is as laughable as the "County in the Premiership was good for Highland football" and "We don't miss the Premiership" bahollocks being spouted on here. Not one of those players we wouldn't have happily kept...and/or wouldn't have back. Not one of them wasn't made an offer to stay. Like it or not, they rejected us....not the other way round.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.
