  1. We were beaten by the better side today, think you have one of the most honest managers in Scottish football.

  2. Seriously, a lack of communication from the board is leading to a 1000 missed fans every week!. That, in my opinion is nonsense and there are many reasons for this, one of the biggest seems to be the lack of interest in their local football team by the good people of Inverness. This has been the case for many seasons and I wish I knew the reason why. As for communication from the board, I think some people want communication for communications sake. If there is nothing to say from the board then don't say anything as there are plenty posters on here who will criticise any message from the board whether good or bad news. This is however where CJT can play a big part in improving lines of communication between fans and the board. Is there any update from CJT?.

  3. A simply stunning ICT performance of yesteryear. A return to the reliable 4-2-3-1 setup and philosophy of sitting in, absorbing pressure and hitting Dunfermline hard on the break. Going into the game and seeing the line up I wasn't expecting much at all but needless to say by full time I was eating humble pie and it tasted great. Pretty standard defensive set up with Chalmers and Welsh shielding in front of them. Doran started on the left, Walsh right and Polworth behind White. For most of the first half we were probably second best although Chalmers (possibly White?) had a good chance with a header from a Walsh cross and the latter linked with Doran to tee up a good chance but his low drive was well saved by Robinson. Dunfermline forced Ridgers into some good saves with the pick of the bunch coming from a fierce drive by Hippolyte. The second half saw ICT tear Dunfermline apart by allowing them to come on them before clinically hitting them on the counter. The opener however came after a free kick found its way to Walsh on the Pars left flank and he stood up a cross to the back post where Rooney ghosted in to steer a header into the net. We extended our lead with a quite brilliant counter attack. Dunfermline failed to make one of their many crosses go anywhere useful and Donaldson cleared the ball to Oakley who brought the ball down and quickly fed Doran who galloped down the right wing and picked out Polworth darting into the box with a quite delicious cross which was sidefooted in to make it two. The game was killed off when Ridgers partially sclaffed a clearance up the pitch in the general direction of Doran. As the ball sat up nicely for him Doran cheekily backheel flicked it over his head and into the path of Oakley who bench pressed the Pars defender and raced towards goal and cooly slide the ball past Robinson. A deserved three points and a really good defensive performance from ICT coupled with clinical attacking play. Mckay and Donaldson mopped up pretty much everything that came towards them and Rooney, whilst not great in the first half, really grew into the game after his goal. Tremarco was very solid at left back as well. Welsh looked like the gritty midfielder we have been missing and whilst perhaps not as good as a peak Draper he gives us a bit more bite in the centre and allows Doran and Walsh to be more creative and fire in crosses like they did today as well as releasing Polworth to play further forward. White struggled to begin with but like Rooney grew into the match the longer it went on as he dropped deeper to link with the midfield and build counter attacks. As has been mentioned on here before it may be that this season we are a more successful team away from home than in Inverness where we might be expected to dominate the opposition. Based on today it seems very much like this is a team that would excel sitting in and hitting on the break and we're unlikely to do that much at TCS. Hopefully Robbo keeps the 4-2-3-1 going forward. A 3 - 0 win away from home against a fellow promotion challenger is not to be sniffed at.

  4. Looks like Robbo has found it again...I like Calder and McCart, it's a long season, they'll get their chance. Brilliant win away, that 0-5 from a year ago exorcised, the only unbeaten side in this league now, pleased for Polly and Oakley, but especially for Rooney. I heard Ridgers pulled off a couple of good saves, last year he was the butt of some dissent on here, but came through a poor start to his career here to become a bit of a favourite. Walsh is starting to sound like our signing of the summer.

  5. Let's get behind him every time he pulls on the shirt.

  6. 2 brilliant goals breaking away at pace, nice to see us doing what other teams usually do to us. And Polly’s one of our own ?

  7. County supporters I know feel that they are part of the whole Ross County thing. It's very much a community club, hence the large support. I used to feel that about ICT, but now I feel the upper management is aloof and arrogant, and I wonder if others feel likewise, and if that would contribute to the lack of support.

  8. Ridgers was excellent today but it was a very good team performance by all the lads. Great support from all the fans who travelled down today too

  9. Oh my ? Falkirk must have had a huge support up today ?

  11. why are most communications only around the time of season ticket renewals........ Coincidence I think not.......

  12. From the limited game time I saw of Zac. He looked like a dud. Better get him off the wagebill and give youth a chance.

  13. if we are going to "throw in some youngsters" and play the squad on that basis we will all need to be very patient. Another couple of years in championship maybe! By that time maybe the club will be run by people who can attract the investment needed to be a top league club.

  14. That was fun! As RiG says, it was an excellent counter-attacking display after a tetchy first half. Doran's second half performance was particularly pleasing - I've doubted his ability to come back and he's clearly had to change his game but his work-rate was superb today and his class eventually shone through with two wonderful assists. Great to see Polly back in his proper position and the fans did a good job of undoing some of that damage. We also saw decent games from Donaldson, Tremarco, Walsh and Welsh, and Ridgers made a couple of blinding saves. Our weaknesses, though, remain glaring. Rooney is a huge concern, and while Welsh is an improvement on Trafford, we still aren't strong enough in defensive midfield where Dunfermline found a lot if room to get shots in from the edge of the box in the first half. And we're no closer to finding out who our striker will be - White worked hard and used his body well but Oakley looked far sharper when he came on and took his goal well.

  15. No not just communication if you'd bothered to read my post but the way they have made promises and then broke them. The only time they bother to Interact with the fan base is season ticket renewal time. The handling of David Raven Gary Warren are two prime examples of their poor leadership and the way Duncan shearer was punted. You may not be bothered about signings or the ongoing situation with the stadium but good customer service is to keep your customers I.e fans appraised of what is happening weather there is progress or not. If you keep them updated they then know your doing something about it but by keeping quiet you then present a facade of doing nothing.

  17. 0-3 now Oakley. What a brilliant result and a great confidence booster. A world apart from the drubbing we got at East End Park this time last season. Unbeaten in the league since 13th March.

  18. 0-2 Dunfermline were strong last season - this is a very, very good scoreline.

  19. It wouldn't be so bad if one of the chairman's first acts wasn't to issue a statement promising better communication. Why promise something you apparently had no intention of delivering ?

  20. That's the point, it was all spin from the club - there isn't, wasn't and never will be the 2 or 3 players brought in with that money. There will have been a settlement for Warren to go how much of the remaining annual salary is unknown, couple that with some of the extended deals of youngsters and needs to cut costs there will be nothing left to invest. If fans think the captain is away and free up his 'Premiership' wages we might get 2 decent guys in for that money - names we know who have experience - then it helps sell season tickets. Much like last year and the various statememts made and broken then too.

  21. I felt really positive at the start of this season after our pre season and bet fred group stages but now after the first few games of the league unable to beat teams down to ten mean for a large portion of a match. Not signing replacements for players that have left I now feel we will be lucky to gain a play off place. Are we turning into falkirk?

  22. I agree. He will certainly be kept busy enough between the sticks at Rothes. It could be the making of him.

  23. Cammy picked up an injury so lost his No2 place. He is better playing than watching and warming up before matches. Personally i feel the boy will either come back as No2 keeper or he will off.

  24. Seedorf another who never really got a run tbf! Hopefully Rooney will improve eh so far he's been shocking! Dunno never seen Beith since he signed does he even exist? True story bud Bell at least had a bit of trickery and movement big White so far has shown all the athleticism of a traffic cone another who can only get better surely! Said months ago fcuk the budget on1 decent player i.e. Storey instead of 3 duds!

  25. Not sure relegation is the reason I think a lot of folk have lost trust in the way the club has been run. For example falkirk regularly exceed 3000 as does Dunfermline and across the bridge today had 3500. Promises have been made by this board and remade and they have failed to materialise and better communication is one. The club in recent weeks have been slow to make public several news stories whereas they have been reported elsewhere days before.

    • Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Hopes amongst the Caley Jags support were at rock bottom ahead of this one with the threat of relegation looming large. With all hands to the pumps, Shaw, Boyes and Ujdur were brought back into the squad whilst not really 100% fit. Shaw started as did Pepple and Boyes with Billy Mckay, Lawal and Danny Devine dropping to the bench. Cammy Harper was given the Captain's armband today. It's a daunting task going to the lions den to face title favourites but underdog is our preferred tag. Anyway, 252 of them turned up at Tannadice in eternal hope and Duffy heightened the intensity only for Louis Moult to level things up. That's how it ended, a result we would have bitten your hand off before kick off.

    • Inverness CT 1-2 Ayr United - Report
Having sat through one of the worst games for many a year there is little to hope for now apart from Arbroath to keep losing because we certainly appear to find it difficult to win. We have no game changers in our squad and our manager is playing the wrong type of anti-football to help our cause. Big Dunc thought we were the better team. Pleeeeeaaase, give me a break! We were second to everything and Ayr were always one step ahead of us after the first three minutes. SHOCKER springs to mind.

    • Inverness CT 0-0 Airdrieonians - Report
These two sides looked as though they could play for the whole of March without scoring. In terms of opportunities, the hosts probably shaded it, but when we did miss the first defender, crosses invariably went behind the incoming strikers. On the one occasion we got on the end of the ball Billy Mckay's flicked header was cleared away from goal by Kanayo Megwa.
Not the worst 0-0 draw ever, but scoring opportunities were at a premium. Neither keeper was overly troubled and this game had scoreless written all over it given the evidence of the first twenty minutes.

    • Inverness CT -V- Airdrieonians - Preview
Promoted Airdrie are sitting in fifth place in the table, just below the play-off places with former Caley Jag Nikolay Todorov getting amongst the goals and he will provide a big test for our central defence. We have found Airdrie a difficult proposition at times this season but we did win the last home encounter against them.

    • Morton 0-2 Inverness CT - Report
What a start for Inverness and Billy Mckay, who answered his abusers from last week by opening the scoring in the second minute, firing into the top corner after an assist from Cammy Harper. Robbie Muirhead looked to respond but Mark Ridgers was equal to his effort in the fifth minute. Ten minutes before the interval Sean McAllister curled in a low free kick from the edge of the box to double our advantage and open his scoring account at Inverness. Plenty of bookings but no further scoring saw Inverness pick up a vital three points in the relegation battle although we still remain in ninth spot but only two points from Dunfermline in fifth.
