  1. I plead guilty to being entirely off topic and have given myself a very severe talking to.

  2. What is being done to improve footfall? (this stems from a requirement to improve the matchday experience but also to promote the club and matches. There seems to be a disconnect with the local community which could be addressed with more visibility and presence within the city centre. Why do we not have ticket kiosks in town on the matchday mornings - High St, Falcon square etc?

  3. I honestly don't think that RIG has anything at all against Steve Paterson.

  4. I think Alan makes a fair point. Players do often fit better at particular clubs and at ICT, for the most part, there isn't too much pressure on the players a lot of the time, they don't have their every move criticised and in a lot of cases they can perform (or not) and not feel too much in the way of wrath from supporters. You need only look at the likes of Meekings, Ross, Williams and Vincent who all went to Dundee and all have either moved on or are seriously struggling for form and incurring a lot of stick from supporters. In recent seasons perhaps only Christie, Shinnie and Watkins have really gone on to better themselves after leaving ICT. Most other players have seen their careers stall or go backwards again.

  5. Wynthank conflates greatest ever manager with most successful having been fortunate enough to inherit, by far, our greatest ever squad which, after our cup winning year, he did a great deal to undermine. If John Hughes was a great manager he would have gone on to do great things instead of leading Raith Rovers to relegation among huge dressing room unrest and resentment. Looks like no club chairman in the land currently recognises his greatness. It was once said of JH that he is not as stupid as many believe but equally not nearly as smart as he himself believes. Personally, I think that is spot on. Having said that, I fully accept that I too find it very difficult to be objective about the man believing him to be very largely, although far from soley, responsible for where we find ourselves today.

  6. There's literally no point discussing anything about John Hughes with you as you've shown time and time again you cannot be objective about the guy. All the best.

  7. In the last update we provided a bit of information on each on the ICT Supporters Trust board members (the “Who”) and I want to take the time in this one to cover off a bit of the “Why” by laying out the Purpose and Objectives of the organisation....followed by a run down on a few other matters. The following information is lifted from the Trust Rules, which you can download in full by clicking here. COMMUNITY BENEFIT PURPOSE The Society’s purpose is to be the vehicle through which a healthy, balanced and constructive relationship between the Club and its supporters and the communities it serves is encouraged and developed. The business of the Society is to be conducted for the benefit of the community served by the Club and not for the profit of its members. OBJECTIVES The Society’s objects are to benefit the community by: being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves; achieving the greatest possible supporter and community influence in the running and ownership of the Club; promoting responsible and constructive community engagement by present and future members of the communities served by the Club and encouraging the Club to do the same; operating democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility and encouraging the Club to do the same; being a positive, inclusive and representative organisation, open and accessible to all supporters of the Club regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral belief. For the most part, the above is pretty self explanatory and it's clear that the remit of a Supporters Trust runs way beyond what would be expected from a more traditional supporters club which operated very much for the benefit of it's members. As explained previously, the focus of the board on the run up to the AGM on the 6th December 2018 has, and will continue to be, getting the organisation back into a position to more actively pursue it's objectives. You will hear more from the board on that in due course as we'll be proposing some projects and gauging members opinion on where the trust priorities should lie. NEW MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM Jen Aitchison (Trust Secretary) has been working hard to review the options open to us for creating a more efficient and streamlined membership system. Past endeavours and a desire to avoid costs has, quite literally, resulted in an even larger cost because the organisation has lost contact with it’s members and ended up with lists which are out of date, incomplete or otherwise not particularly accessible or user friendly. For that reason we have taken the decision not to try re-inventing the wheel and spend a small amount of money on a system which is designed and developed by a third party. Aside from being more robust, it frees up a bit more of our time to spend on other projects. Existing members for whom we hold a valid email address should have received communication asking them to log in and confirm the details we hold. If you have not received that email, please contact us on members@ict.supporterstrust.org and we will look into it. We will be contacting everyone else by other means. We’re not quite ready to open up to new members just yet, but all the parts are in place and testing has been done. Once we get it connected to the new website we’ll be good to go with accepting new members. NEW LOGO Although we have decided to make sole use of the ICT Supporters Trust name, we won’t be using the previously associated logo. For the most part that is a practical decision as it was difficult (and expensive) to reproduce….but we also think it would good to have a fresh new logo and that our members could have some input into what it should be. Details on how you can do that will be provided in due course. WEBSITE, EMAIL & SOCIAL MEDIA There’s nothing ready to see on the website quite yet (all the work is going on in the background) but the new online home of the ICT Supporters Trust will be ict.supporterstrust.org and you can now contact us in regards to membership matters on members@ict.supporterstrust.org with immediate effect. Don’t panic, we’ll be redirecting old email addresses to the new one so we won’t miss/have missed anything sent to us via them recently….or over the next 12 months (at least). The sharp eyed among you will also have noticed that the name on our social media channels has already changed. If you already followed the Caley Jags Together accounts you will still be following us on the new name and if you don’t already follow us then the links are as follows…. Twitter : twitter.com/ICTSuppTrust Facebook : facebook.com/ICTSupportersTrust/ - The URL has changed here and we are waiting on Facebook changing the page title. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING As previously advised, the ICT Supporters Trust will be holding their AGM on Thursday 6th December 2018 (date and location to be advised). The process leading up to the AGM kicks off at the start of October and one of the requirements is for us to have an Election Management Group (EMG) in place at that time. As per our Election Policy the EMG members can not be serving board members (with the exception of the Secretary), persons standing for election or have a close association with anyone standing for election. We, the board, must appoint persons from among our members, with the exception of the EMG Chairman who must not be a member of the society. The EMG exists to ensure that the election is run in accordance with the Election Policy, to make the final decision as the eligibility of candidates, nominations and valid votes. They will also conduct the count. If this is something you are able to assist with, then please get in touch with us on members@ict.supporterstrust.org My thanks, once again, goes to the wider Supporters Trust Board for their ongoing diligence....and to our members for their ongoing support, patience and understanding. Best regards, Don Johnstone (aka CaleyD) Chairman - ICT Supporters Trust

  8. My intention was not to have yet another moan about the board thread of which there are plenty already. Anyway they are communicating on this issue at least and if they'd done nothing for the occasion I'm certain they'd be lambasted for it all over here. Perhaps shows how many read the online programme but as nobody has mentioned it here is some communication from the CEO at least... https://www.docdroid.net/ptvRWlh/ictfc-matchday-5-partick-thistle.pdf

  9. Perhaps the board should concentrate on getting the basics right first. The chairman is virtually anonymous when it comes to both the fans and the media and legitimate concerns remain unanswered and, thus far, it's far from clear what the new CEO is bringing to the party. The one thing the board has got right is the appointment of John Robertson who might not be a tactical genius but has repaired the hull of a sinking ship and got us sailing, once again, in the right direction sometimes I think despite the actions, or inactions, of the board rather than because of them. Credit to him for also being the one and only current public face of the club a role that surely should fall on others leaving him to concentrate more on football matters. Doug Mcgillivray, David Sutherland, Alan Savage and Kenny Cameron may all have made mistakes but they were all at least prepared to address the media and fans and explain themselves. The present incumbent only seems to break cover yo issue poorly worded statements apologising for mistakes and making hollow promises about doing better in the future.

    • Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Hopes amongst the Caley Jags support were at rock bottom ahead of this one with the threat of relegation looming large. With all hands to the pumps, Shaw, Boyes and Ujdur were brought back into the squad whilst not really 100% fit. Shaw started as did Pepple and Boyes with Billy Mckay, Lawal and Danny Devine dropping to the bench. Cammy Harper was given the Captain's armband today. It's a daunting task going to the lions den to face title favourites but underdog is our preferred tag. Anyway, 252 of them turned up at Tannadice in eternal hope and Duffy heightened the intensity only for Louis Moult to level things up. That's how it ended, a result we would have bitten your hand off before kick off.

    • Inverness CT 1-2 Ayr United - Report
Having sat through one of the worst games for many a year there is little to hope for now apart from Arbroath to keep losing because we certainly appear to find it difficult to win. We have no game changers in our squad and our manager is playing the wrong type of anti-football to help our cause. Big Dunc thought we were the better team. Pleeeeeaaase, give me a break! We were second to everything and Ayr were always one step ahead of us after the first three minutes. SHOCKER springs to mind.

    • Inverness CT 0-0 Airdrieonians - Report
These two sides looked as though they could play for the whole of March without scoring. In terms of opportunities, the hosts probably shaded it, but when we did miss the first defender, crosses invariably went behind the incoming strikers. On the one occasion we got on the end of the ball Billy Mckay's flicked header was cleared away from goal by Kanayo Megwa.
Not the worst 0-0 draw ever, but scoring opportunities were at a premium. Neither keeper was overly troubled and this game had scoreless written all over it given the evidence of the first twenty minutes.

    • Inverness CT -V- Airdrieonians - Preview
Promoted Airdrie are sitting in fifth place in the table, just below the play-off places with former Caley Jag Nikolay Todorov getting amongst the goals and he will provide a big test for our central defence. We have found Airdrie a difficult proposition at times this season but we did win the last home encounter against them.

    • Morton 0-2 Inverness CT - Report
What a start for Inverness and Billy Mckay, who answered his abusers from last week by opening the scoring in the second minute, firing into the top corner after an assist from Cammy Harper. Robbie Muirhead looked to respond but Mark Ridgers was equal to his effort in the fifth minute. Ten minutes before the interval Sean McAllister curled in a low free kick from the edge of the box to double our advantage and open his scoring account at Inverness. Plenty of bookings but no further scoring saw Inverness pick up a vital three points in the relegation battle although we still remain in ninth spot but only two points from Dunfermline in fifth.
