  1. Although during 2018 I didn't bother posting on a daily basis as goals were scored, I did update my spreadsheets of ex ICT goalscorers every two or three weeks. I found 74 goalscorers finding the net 475 times, as detailed below. 27 goals Curtis Allen (Glentoran) 24 " Stuart Soane (Forres) 22 " Adam Rooney (Salford 18: Aberdeen 4) 20 " Rory McAllister (Peterhead) 18 " Billy Mckay (Ross Co) 17 " Andrew Greig (Formantine), Gary Wood (Formantine) 16 " Andrew MacRae (Forres) 15 " Jamie Wilson (Rothes), Shane Sutherland (Elgin) 13 " Lonsano Doumbouya (Pt Prachuap), Andrew MacAskill (Buckie), Alex Fisher (Yeovil) 12 " Dean Ebbe (TNS), Tobi Agdestein (Aalesund), Dale Gillespie (Brora 11: Rothes 1) 10 " Aidan Chippendale (Ossett Utd), Ryan Christie (Aberdeen 3 : Celtic 7), Jason Oswell (Stockport 8 : Morecombe 2) Scott Boden ( Gateshead 8 : Wrexham 2), Henri Anier (FC Lahti 8 : Estonia 2) 09 " Dan Pak (Cove R) 08 " Phil Roberts (Hemel Hempstead 5 : Braintree 2 : Chelmsford 1) 07 " Jason Brown (Peterhead ), Gavin Morrison (Brora ), Doug Imrie (Hamilton) 06 " Eddie Ofere (Fc Thanh Hoa) 05 " Calum Ferguson (Cascadia), Adam Evans (Shelbourne), Michael Finnis (Clach), Andrew Shinnie (Luton) 04 " Stuart Armstrong (Southampton 3 : Celtic 1), Tom Aldred (Motherwell), Filipe Morais (Crawley), Ibra Sekajja (Bognor R), B King (Dun Utd) G Shinnie (Aberdeen), Lewis MacKinnon (Buckie), S Duff (Inverurie), Dani Lopez (Arenas), John Rankin (Clyde) 03 " G Tade (Maccabi P), Zander Sutherland (Brora), Andreas Mutumbo (Partick), Don Cowie (Ross Co 2 : Hearts 1), Ben Greenhalgh (Concord 2 : Dartford 1) 02 " David Davis (Birmingham), Marley Watkins (Bristol C), Alex MacDonald (Mansfield), Larnell Cole (Tranmere) Danny Williams (AFC Fylde), James Vincent (Dunfermline), Miles Storey (Partick), Ali Sutherland (Rothes) Steven Rennie (Strathspey), Andrew MacLeod (Strathspey), Craig MacMillan (Strathspey), Brian Prunty (East Kilbride) 01 " Pavels Mihaduks (Spartak), Brian MacLennon (Rothes), Jamie Duff (Rothes,), Martin Laing (Inverurie) Dennis Wyness (Huntly), Stuart Leslie (Clach), Nick Ross (Brora), Nat Wedderburn (Raith) Connor Bell (Morton), Danny Devine (Dunfermline), Ross Draper (Ross Co), Ian Vigurs (Ross Co) Robert Eagle (Lowestoft), Louis Laing (Hartlep[ool), David Proctor (East Kilbride),Liam Hughes (Darlington) Happy New Year folks

  2. We got what we deserved: nothing. If you can't put the ball in the back of the net, you don't deserve to win. A new striker is vital but not sure where the funds will come from. Also, why is it that we only seem to be able to raise our game vs County? From the dozen or so games I've been to this season, our three best performances have been against them and we have a grand total of three points to show for it.

  3. Whilst I quite liked Storey when he was with us, he has scored only 2 goals for Partick all year, not exactly the form of a player who could really have made a difference for us.

  4. I've not felt that bummed out after a game for a long long time. I felt the first half was very level and either team looked like taking the lead at any time, and was expecting more of the same in the second, but whatever Robbo said to the boys, they were right up for it and as much as county had good possession they couldn't do anything with it and we looked by far the team that were next to score, as always though it was only going to come from a deflection or a bundle over the line because as much as polworth and Walsh were running the midfield, the crosses into the box were never accurate enough and the resulting touches were never enough to trouble Fox, who once again was on top form. As the game wore on I could only see one winner, and the very worst another draw.... However something was starting to tell me that as so often this season we would be outdone by a last minute goal, but when it actually came it still felt like I'd been punched in the chest. Utterly gut wrenching and cruel. They never deserved that, they barely deserved a draw but there you go. As many have said the "positives are to take that performance and desire into the next games and we should be OK"... But sadly we predictably won't and we will revert to slowly tapping the ball about with as much pace as a sausage dog with no legs. That game needed someone like Oakley, or Austin like he was last season. Can't understand why he has dropped down the pecking order so dramatically. White is not a natural goalscorer and simply can't win a ball and turn or lay off to a teammate and gets smothered easily. We need reinforcements immediately if we are to go on any kind of season saving run, but the big problem is with our budget and lure will we simply end up with another "striker" who simply dosent know how to score.

  5. Rooney returned the punch (like anyone would do, you can't shrug off a punch to the jaw), but in all honesty, I can see why punches were flying. Everyone was worked up because of the shambolic refereeing of Andy Dallas, but hell, it definitely added some electricity to the game ?. Hopefully we have a decent ref who can actually see fouls in the return derby in March. But we need a team that can actually score, we're 100% the more dominant team in possession, cos literally any time I saw us on the ball, the County players were climbing on top of who ever was on possession, just to get the ball. But as stated earlier in this thread, possession does not win games. One thing that does need to be worked on in training, is heading, each and every single corner or cross that was put in (at the away section of the dump) was put in the exact same place above the bar, even though we got the ball first, we need to work on target practice for it. Seriously though, we really need to get a grip, I really can't see this club surviving in the Championship for much longer, our attendances are pure dire compared to previous second tier seasons, and the amount of away fans coming north, we don't even need to open their stand, as there is almost literally a minibus full of them, which certainly does not help ticket sales. If we want to get the chance of Premiership football again, we need to start working the players to score goals and hold a lead. Constant draws don't win promotion spots.

  6. Absolute sickener to lose that one. However as so many of us have been saying for weeks if not months we cannot keep wasting these golden chances to score and expect to win games and that was the same with yesterday. We could have been about 4 - 1 up going into the last 15 minutes but after Walsh missed the target with a lovely sidefooted shot County seemed to press us back and you could sense the momentum was shifting albeit they didn't create anything too clear cut until the eventual winner. Easy to say with hindsight but when County did start to push us back I would have liked to have seen Robbo bring on Mackay for Doran to try and get back on top of things. Most of our threats came behind the County left midfielder and left CB with Walsh getting a lot of time and space to send crosses in. Again he tired as the game went on and this was probably another reason County were able to push as back. White is such a bizarre player. Another nice tidy finish yesterday but other times his first touch was garbage, he struggled to win headers and moves broke down because of his apparent inability to control a football. Polworth also had a very quiet game but County were on top of our players almost any time they had the ball in the first half. Their closing down was excellent. Incredible stramash at the end. Not sure what Graham was thinking. The game was pretty much won and if he wins that header he could be off to the corner flag to run the clock down. Instead he launches his arm into the face of Donaldson then starts throwing punches all over the shop. I guess Rooney got sent off for a headbutt as it looked like someone threw their head into a County player. Absolutely disgraceful scenes to end the game. More please!

  9. Scotty, you've listed Oakley amongst the line up but he was out injured and White started - and scored.

  10. Totally bud said at the start of the season we should've tried to get Storey back or at least a striker with a bit of movement and scoring record even if it blow the whole budget ye I'd probs bin Trafford as well young Mcgregors a better shout! The board need to show a backbone now and give Robbo money to get us into the playoffs or we'll be amid table championship side yet again who'd have thought only a few seasons ago we played Astra of the park in Europe !

  11. Indeed, looked more dominant on the highlights than at the game itself. If the ref had not already lost the plot, we may have got a penalty at the death when Fox pulled Mackay down on the line.

  12. Totally agree Alan, White is useless unless it's handed to him on a plate and Austin is as much use now as tits on fish. I like Oakley but he's not quick or responsive enough, we need a shankland style player and these guys are not 1 in a million it's just a case of getting the right fit and instead of offering a pittance wage and hope to retain the other so called strikers, get rid of Austin and Beith and chalmers in my opinion and put the bulk of the money into getting a really hungry striker that will make all the difference. We're a really good team from the back 4 to the front bar one, we're missing that sharpness up front, give us that and we could still be a top 4 contender at worst. Serious decisions at board level to be made in Jan, give robbo decent funds to put the missing piece of the jigsaw in place or simply accept another year on the cship, it's as simple and obvious as that

  13. Yesterday's game proved we need to bin White and Austin who's out of contract anyway get rid of Beith whos never gonna play and get a half decent striker in even on loan without a goal scorer we'll struggle to stay in the top 4 another season or 2 in the championship gonna be the death of the club!

  14. We need to get rid off Austin & Beith and spend the money on 1 decent player Robbo needs to admit to fans that the Beith signing was a mistake he is not the answer to our problems to be halfway through the season and he still hasn't pulled on a jersey is complete madness he has had enough time ship out. P.S Draper is a complete W****r but at least we agree on that with the County fans they hate him.

  15. We were the better team except where it came to the all important aspect of taking our chances. A regular theme and, unless we somehow manage to secure the services of a more clinical striker in the January window, is one likely to cost us our chances of promotion.

  16. To be fair, I thought we played outstanding today. We dominated county, particularly in the second half. The fact their keeper got mom says it all. White's goal looked like a great finish and I thought he played with heart and passion and did his best to lift the crowd too. Any other day we would have scored 3 or 4. Had the finishing been better it could have been 5 or 6. Plenty of passion on display throughout the team. Think Rooney could face further trouble though. Looked like several punches were thrown. And more than 2 could have been sent off.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.
