In a word, this ? Very strange decision leaving Welsh on the bench and then taking him on for a couple of minutes at the death. To the clowns who slate Polly at every opportunity please note that this is what we'll be reduced to if/when he moves on.....and who would blame him. Absolute sickener.5 points

Sad to say it but we could learn a lot from County when it comes to being a genuine community club. Their chairman, love or loathe him, genuinely insured that his club genuinely engage with its fans and the wider community. We once made an effort to do similarly but the current chairman and board seems far more concerned about a few of his corporate pals than even making any pretence of engaging with the ordinary fans which, while not the only reason, is a very important reason why our crowds are dwindling and why many of those who remain are increasingly disheartened.3 points

That's the worst away performance I've seen this season. We missed Coll and Polly as you would expect, but the absence of Sean Welsh had the most impact, his replacement charged and lunged his way around the park in a way that seemed to unsettle his teammates as much as the opposition. We didn't get the forward midfield 3 into the game at all, and when we finally went to 4-4-2 we looked slightly more threatening but without creating clear-cut chances. It could've been worse - McCauley should've been sent off and a better side would've added to their tally in the second half. We are a very poor side without those 3 players.3 points

I wish I shared your optimism Jed, I have looked into my crystal ball and foresee a defeat on Tuesday and Saturday. End of season we will finish outside the play off place trailing behind Queen of the South. If we beat County on Tuesday and turn things around and put a good gap between us and Queen of the South, I will buy a hat, roast it with peas and onions and eat it.3 points

Somehow, we cling on to the final play off spot but a side suffering consecutive league defeats to PatrickThistle and Dunfermline has no real chance of promotion. Very disheartening.3 points

Glad to see we have stopped this Drawing Games Malarky 1 shot on target all game is dreadful were the away fans not signing loud enough today or who else is to blame today ...... perhaps the coaches?? Lack of game plan??3 points

Enough is enough now, our chairman MUST be responsible for the pish that we have to endure week in, week out so he HAS to be replaced! How can we expect promotion when the ass sells a striker in the last few hours without getting a replacement plus nobody knows what is happening at the club because he tells us nothing, yet our new vice chairman is saying that things will change, well, it doesn't look like it!! Tuesday is a big game and tbh, it should be the one that determines the managers position, lose and he'll have to go, win and he deserves a new contract. But to be fair, he deserves credit for the job he's doing with the dross he's got at his disposal . 4 wins in 19 is just pathetic!2 points

It'd be mint to get promoted tho tbh think there's more chance of us getting dragged in to the bottom 4 way things are going!2 points

no more a "community" club than a ............. Don't listen to all that blurb it's utter fiction.2 points

Its the manager that is ****. Oh and regarding the slating you fear, stuff them, they just like mediocrity and only like it when we agree with them, people like us are not entitled to an opinion. I just laugh at the comments as they can be personal ans and should result in a ban but, no, not here, posters can be as personal in their criticism ad as they like yet, get away with it. Oh, and some are worse than others, I have about a handful that I can count on getting personal with me!2 points

Can i just ask you how you think it is the Chairman's fault when it is the Coaches who put the teams out and it is their tactics just curious? Not disagreeing with some of what you say like the 4 wins out of 19 now at any other club that would be sacking material2 points

Very worrying who will buy season tickets to watch more of this i will be honest did not buy last year because i was so angry with Foran & Cameron but bought this year as thought the good feeling was back after just missing out on play offs but next season i am really not sure i can go through this anymore2 points

Who'd have thought selling your best striker with a couple of hours left in the transfer window and not replacing them would have such a detrimental affect on our results?2 points

Where do you want us to finish this season. Surely nobody actually wants us to be promoted ?1 point

Said on another post Patrick are gonna go on a run reckon they'll make the play of spots defo bookies for a ten spot on it remember where u heard it people !1 point

Might just decline that suggestion. Don't really fancy the idea of following his last club into League One.1 point

At very best the best we can hope for is to finish 4th this season but looking rather unlikely1 point

I doubt it was the chairman who scouted utter gash like Trafford and White ! Besides unless Mikey Carroll wins the lotto again who's gonna take us on!1 point

Definitely missed Polly today! Midfield lacking without him. Very poor performance all round.1 point

You’ve only been registered on the site for 19 days so I can’t imagine you have had that much of a traumatic time. Back on topic, this result is not a surprise. The draws that we were hoping to turn into wins have in fact turned into defeats. With an improving Falkirk and Partick then we really should be looking over our shoulder. At this time I’d be staggered if we made the play-offs. Disappointing season to say the least.1 point

What harm would it do if we went up and then came straight down? Assuming we didn't stupidly overstretch the finances in an attempt to stay up. Increased revenue plus a parachute payment for the following season, to be balanced against demoralised players and coaching staff (and supporters). I understand your point, and I'm playing devil's advocate here...1 point

The chairman is at fault for not replacing Oakley and not telling us what is happening at the club! We know nothing like where is Angus Beith, where is the money from his selling etc.1 point

We actually improved a lot when Austin came on and we went 442. Started playing football and created a few half chances at least.1 point

Another poor performance, another poor result. I get why we raise our game against County...... but that’s the type of attitude & desire we need every week, if we are to be competitive for a play off place. Watch the season ticket sales dip next season as a result.1 point

On the flip side, had he scored in some of our games, defeats would have been draws and draws would have been wins and we would be royally chuffed by now. Swings and roundabouts really.1 point

What actually happened with Ridgers for the goal? Routine looking save but the shot went through him. You know it’s not your day when even your most dependable player messes up.0 points

SOS the big man yogi Hughes for a comeback bigger than Abba ! Board should beg this legend to come back maybe a crowd fund to sweeten the deal for the leith lothario0 points

from what I can see its you starting to get personal with others. cut it out now and debate the topic rather than the poster. you have already stated your opinion. let others do the same before preemptively labelling them !0 points

On the bright side we are still in fourth spot and playing for a quarter final in the cup. Now a win on Tuesday followed by a win Saturday versus Morton and we are fair set. Now you wouldn't bet on that however it is easily achievable. I will attend both games and observe our transformation into challengers for cup and league. ??0 points

Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.-

Queens Park -V- Inverness CT - Preview

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.-

Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

Inverness CT -V- Arbroath - Preview
tm4tj posted an article in Previews 2023-24,
It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...-

Partick 1-0 Inverness CT - Report
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
Big Trouble Down the Dump: Billy Mckay was back in the starting XI along with Samson Lawal with Pepple dropping to the bench and Shaw out for the season. Both teams had seven on the bench with Roddy MacGregor getting a rare seat. Scott Robinson scored the only goal of the game just before the break. Inverness were reduced to ten men when Cammy Kerr was sent off just after an hour. Despite creating more opportunities, the points just evaded us.
