  1. Ok guys I have seen Shane a few times at Elgin this season, and he has more craft up front than anybody we have, better free kick taker too. 22 goals is nothing to scoff at. Don't write him off because of lower league, remember Arbroath, or have you all forgotten how they tore us another one. Shankland springs to mind too.

  2. What a song it will be to sing "17 points and you fecked it up - Feck you Dundee you'll never win the league ".

  3. He's scored goals in the level above. He's managed 22 in league 2 this season part time. Give him a chance at full time footy you never know what could happen.

  8. Nice of you to refer to me as an Orc and of low intellect. Not sure where this nonsense comes from but it says a lot about you. Do you still go to Ross County games? Makes your outrage somewhat laughable if you do. How exactly do the club make players sign contacts be they staggered or otherwise? Also a ridiculous statement, what club tries to stagger contracts for certain positions? They try to get the best contract they can per player surely. Regardless, I'm not sure if you realise this but the club can't tie players down to contracts that they won't sign. Simple fact is that if players are offered more money elsewhere than the presumably paltry amount we can then they will likely go. It's hardly a new thing, I don't want to lose these players either but unless we get more money or more fans that won't change.

  9. Could put a Walrus with a lung infection up top be better than what wev got the now my man! Aye he might get goals big risk tho wev already got a handful of non scoring strikers what is it with Robbo and strikers he's got the opposite of a Midas touch when it comes to spotting a goalscorer

  10. Think that was Rory. Shane, if I remember right, we went after late on in the window this season, realised we were after him, and then refused to play

  11. Rory McAllister didn't want full time football as he wanted to finish of his apprenticeship first. Think it was Aberdeen that was looking at him when he came out with that. We have looked at Sutherland before but I can't remember what happened with it I remember something about peterhead

  12. I also agree we let Sutherland go too soon previously however taking him back would still be a risk. Think it all depends on Shane’s mindset as there is a footballer in there that naturally can score goals. Being exposed to Elgin folk for years though isn’t a plus point let’s hope he ain’t developed that annoying twang they have. Dougal

  13. I know Orcs have very low intellect but here goes. Maybe this has escaped you but we are possibly going to lose our entire defence, Coll to County, Jamie to Partick and Shaun to Dundee. These three along with Ridgers are the sole reason we are currently second in the championship and in a play off spot. To be in this position is an absolute outrage and the board are 100% guilty of not tying these guys down on longer contracts or at least have them staggered so situations like this can’t happen. Im starting to question whether the board really want us back in the top flight also the fact that two of the players seem willing to transfer to two of our present rivals at the moment I wonder do the players think so too. • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...
