  1. What a shower of moaners mostly. I was delighted to see ICT playing at all. Strange view as my seat is in North Stand but, for the first attempt at streaming, I had my first decent Saturday afternoon in months. Even shouted at the screen a few times.

  2. Don't think anybody was working until just after 2:45pm. No idea what the issue was but I'm sure we were told it should be online from 2:00pm. Anyway, food for thought regarding facing West. Not a good idea even at the stadium. Surely facing the stand would give a better effect like being in a football stadium and cut down on light flare. Is it possible to zoom in a bit, everything happened at distance and I set mine up on 42" screen. Commentator just trying to do his best, its all a bit new to everyone. Just don't mute the mic next time. Constructive criticism might be better than simply downing the guy try I g his best to cope in unfamiliar circumstances. All in it was better than nothing and I won't be complaining about the quality, but maybe some minor adjustments to get the best out of what we have to offer. Regards to some unable to log on. It's new to us as well. Once we have all cracked it it will be a piece of pi55. By the way, the age stats I quoted are all available on this site for anyone interested. Go to current season tab, fixture list, tables, etc. or hit the score on fixture list it opens up more options. Have a play around there and check it out. Once we have uploaded the info after each game then it will be available to see. Cheers all.

  3. I think a point in the current circumstances was a good one yesterday. The average age of our team that finished the game was 21 and a half. Mark Ridgers was our oldest player at 30. I've no idea but that may be the youngest team to have played a league game for ICT. The guys should get enormous credit for coming back and getting a point against a good and experienced Ayr team.

  4. Given the injury situation with our wafer thin squad, I think it is too early to start to despair. Winning the league is probably beyond us, it probably was for everyone except Hearts even before the season began, but there is all to play for as far as play off places are concerned and we won't know how we stand in that race until we have those currently on the treatment table back on the pitch. Given the late equaliser, I am choosing to view yesterday as a point gained rather than two points lost.

  5. We had multiple tests to make sure this was working perfectly remember and were told it was. If you're happy with it great, never ceases to amaze me the mediocrity we'll accept from our club sometimes and I'm not referring to the product on the pitch. We should be using this as an opportunity to expand the number of people who watch ICT as it's more accessible, really go out and sell the club to a wider audience with a great product regardless of what the result is. Instead it's our usual mantra of 'ach it's good enough, better than nothing I suppose.'

  6. The players we had out there did pretty well under the circumstances against a decent side. Without Carson, Vincent and Welsh the midfield had a bit of a soft centre but we still restricted Ayr to a few real chances. Downsides are that our finishing was really poor, and we conceded that goal too easily without putting in a proper challenge from the point we played a poor ball into their box. We know we can be so much better than that, which gives hope for moving up the table by Xmas.

  7. A draw was a fair result. Ayr started well but we had the best of a pretty even first half and had a few decent chances. On a different day, Todorov and Harper could / should have scored. Toddy also had one that came off the bar onto the goal line which may or may not have crossed the line i didn’t get a good view of the Ayr goal and would want to see it again before commenting on whether it was a soft goal to lose. Our equaliser came from a cross from the right by Fyffe that Toddy converted. We had a couple of close shaves with at least one cleared off the line, and the Ayr keeper had a couple of decent stops so all in all a fair outcome. Of the new players, I thought Allardice was the pick. He seemed to be trying to hold our reshaped midfield together. Duffy had a quiet game, whilst once they settled into the formation, I thought Devine and Deas did fine. Deas in particular could become the mainstay of our defence. I didn’t see much from Kennedy after he came on but he has scarcely met his team mates so too early to judge. Of the rest, Ridgers was fine with one double save coming to mind. I understand Mckay has been playing whilst not fully fit, so credit to him and that is probably why he was subbed. Harper got forward a bit but got a nose bleed when through on the keeper. MacGregor struggled to assert himself whilst Keatings was very quiet. With him being subbed, I’m not sure if he is fully fit either. MacKay was happy to shoot from distance whilst Todorov was busy and could / should have scored more. I think we changed formation to a back 4 when Fyffe replaced Mckay and he provided the assist for the goal. From what I could tell he was playing on the right of midfield with Duffy reverting to right back. If those we are missing, Carson is probably needed most to add steel to our midfield. We also lacked pace yesterday, which Kennedy may give us, or Storey when fit playing wide. With 8 out, whilst 1 point from 6 is disappointing, we should improve as players return, but we really do need to get a result next week or we will be playing catch up. Interesting to see how Raith Rovers have started, and they are scoring freely so this early it looks like we will be battling Dundee, Ayr, Dunfermline and Raith for a play off place. Hopefully we don’t get sucked into a fight at the wrong end of the table.

  8. I can't imagine that there is much that the club themselves will be able to do to refine the system. It's an AI-based system supplied by a company which is not under their control. But I'd hope that someone takes note of the comments here, and feeds them back to the SPFL and the system provider. I know very little about machine learning, but I suspect that it could take some time to actually improve the system - to get it to learn better behaviour. As for the position of the cameras, I suspect that they need a short cable path from the camera rig to an on-site computer which will be in the main stand to maximise its protection. Having said that, the TV companies manage somehow.... As an exile, I agree with tm4tj. If it wasn't for this system, I wouldn't be seeing anything at all, so I won't complain and I will be back. Just praying for dull weather on match days!

  10. Can't see much discussion about the actually game, maybe to do with having to watch it via a streaming services (which seemed to have it's hiccups) I wonder how many actually used the streaming service? Anyway on reflection getting a draw yesterday seems an OK result given that we put out every fit player we had on the pitch or bench and were still 2 short Comparing our starting 11 to last year this time, and only Ridgers and Keatings are the same, although Todorov and MacGregor came on as subs, that really is an incredible change, and given that our entire starting back line from last season are even at the club, it's quite alot to cope with. Arguably our starting midfield if fit would certainly include a combo of Carson, Welsh, Vincent and Doran. Some might say that professional footballers should be able to gel quickly, so it doesn't matter who is put out, but the squad has only really been together since what, mid-Sept at the earliest. From the stats page on BBC Sport it looks to have been a very even game, with roughly equal possession and shots, and corners Good to see Toddy get on the scoresheet again, we need him to keep it going, just to stay in touch with the top half of the table. Any one with a streaming view got any comments on how the new guys like Duffy, Deas, Devine and Allardice played (and Kennedy who got 15mins)? Any ideas on who out of our injured pack might come back soon? Hearts away in two weeks time already looks a tough one, this was a match I had hoped to get in to watch, back in the heady days of August when I optimistically booked flights up.

  11. All square with Ayr. Better late than never, the live stream burst onto the laptop 15 minutes before kick-off and it was game-on. Inverness had the first chance when Todorov headed off the underside of the bar, the ball adjudged not to have crossed the line. Todorov also slid one just wide as did Cameron Harper. Young keeper Silisano also made a couple of good saves to deny the eager hosts. Mark Ridgers made one great save and the ball ricocheted around the box like a game of bagatelle, but at the break it was 0-0 with Inverness making most of the running. Substitute Innes Cameron opened the scoring seconds after replacing Joe Chalmers before the hour. Nikolay Todorov squared matters with five minutes left. Ridgers denied Ayr at the death and a point apiece it was. It's the first live streamed match from the Caledonian Stadium and Ayr United were the visitors on a blustery October Saturday afternoon. It's another covid restricted game so no spectators allowed into the stadium. Nikolay Todorov was deemed fit enough to start, but Inverness were without Miles Storey, Sean Welsh, James Vincent, Aaron Doran, Lewis Toshney, Kevin McHattie, and David Carson. Shane Sutherland never made the squad either but Kai Kennedy would be available. Not a great start to the season for Inverness injury wise. That is possibly an award winning statement. Ayr have Luke McCowan suspended and Tom Walsh is out with a hamstring injury. New signing Cammy Smith started with Innes Cameron on the bench. What could possibly go wrong in the first live streamed game from the Caledonian Stadium. Well, that's another debate, it was watchable suffice to say. Maybe the camera's will be moved to the West side gantray as the low Autumn sun was causing as much havoc as the assistant referee's hairless head. On the park Todorov rattled the bar with a powered header and the ball bounced down and away in the first five minutes. Great effort from the big striker, the ball appeared to hit the bar, line, bar, line then scrambled away. Ooft! Ridgers made a superb one handed save in the 17th minute and from the following scrambulation, the ball ricocheted around before Brad Mckay popped up on the line to scoop clear. Cameron Harper fired a powerful free kick round the wall from the edge of the box but the keeper kept it out as Inverness controlled the pace of the game. Toddy went through on goal on a great ball forward but managed to hit the stanchion behind the goal instead of bulging the net. Good power from the big man, pity bout the finish. A loose ball on the angle of the box was curled wide as the hosts looked likeliest to open the scoring and a wonderful swift break from our own box saw Harper fed through on the left. Unfortunately his powerful shot rose just over the bar. Cammy redeemed more than his voucher moments later when he hooked one off his own line following an Ayr raid. That was a mere distraction from the attacking intent of the hosts and Daniel Mackay sent a swerving shot on target from distance that the Ayr keeper saved brilliantly. Half Time 0-0 However, we were undone by our own sloppiness just before the hour. Ayr substitute Innes Cameron slotted home calmly after an Inverness foray forward broke down tamely. Some shoddy backtracking and good speed from Ayr saw Cameron stroke the ball home tidily. Harsh on the hosts. The goal spurred Ayr on and Ridgers stooped to gather a shot from 25 yards comfortably. Kai Kennedy was introduced and he sent a long ball onto Toddy's head but the keeper gathered easily. Some frantic defending kept Inverness at bay as we probed for an equaliser. It would come in the 85th minute as Toddy turned on a super cross into the penalty area from substitute Ryan Fyffe and he wheeled before hitting it early, low behind a static keeper. Great goal and no more than we deserved. Into time added on and we had Ridgers to thank for pulling off a tremendous diving one handed save (think Mike Fraser against Celtic) to keep the score level. Top corner, top drawer. Considering our circumstances this was a good result with eight players missing. The debate about the streaming rages on elsewhere...... 12. Good to see Toddy getting another goal and a great strike from Daniel Mackay just before half time. The goals will come as we play more and as others have said a good effort from a young team!

  13. Got to be happy with a draw at such as early stage of the season. With so many players out as well the rest of the squad have done well. Ayr are going to be up there at the end of the season and we’ve done well to ensure they aren’t too far infront.

  14. Agree with this part of your post, it should be a tremendous advert for the club. Probably financial constraints will dictate what we can and can't do.

  15. Well worth a point. We were better side first 45 a d should have been two up at the break. Disappointing goal to lose. On the attack, aimless ball forward intercepted and poor tracking back led to it opening up for Ayr to stroke the ball home. Equally for our goal great cross from Fyffe and excellent finish from Toddy. Ridgers saved the day in time added on with a tremendous one handed save. Given our circumstances I'm not disappointed yet.

  16. I've heard of other teams that lose £2 off their ppv fee, so presumably we get £8. Not sure if that's all that comes off the fee or not.

  17. I agree entirely. I was a bit critical yesterday but it was the first meaningful use of the system and I quite enjoyed it on the whole. As you have said, hopefully the club can take constructive comments from the feedback and refine the system for next week. I also linked it to my tv and the quality improved as the sun ceased to be an issue, so using the normal camera podium could be a better option. Credit to the commentator too. As a rookie, he did ok. How many times do we ask fans around us what happened or who got the touch etc. He did not have that luxury or any replays to rely on. Looking forward to next Saturday when getting three points already seems vital given we have Hearts away the following week. Hopefully some of the “missing 8” are fit and ready to play.

  18. I really enjoyed that. It felt like I was at my seat. My low concentration and poor eyesight were mimicked perfectly by the AI. The staring and swearing at the linesmans bald head made me really feel like I was there after another terrible offside. The zoom in on the chances in the box worked fairly well until baldy distracted the camera. Corner kicks were a particular problem that will get resolved. I seen more on here than I would have at my seat. Happy clapper all the way.

  19. Did you contact the support channels that the club told people to use if they encountered any problems? That's the best way to finding out what went wrong and hopefully get things fixed for you for the next game.

  20. Do they do season ticket refunds. What a poor service £260 or whatever for this. And yes im being a bit sarcastic like many I’d never ask for it back but a lot of money for a shortened season and then to be lumbered with this poor quality service is like a smack in the face with a wet fish. And i rarely if ever do I complain on a forum would we willingly donate for anything else with such a poor product I highly doubt it For the first time I actually feel really taken for granted

  23. I sent them an email at 2:45pm to complain that the stream hadn't started and all I was looking at was a blank dark blue screen. I got a reply at 6:15pm with instructions about logging on and asked if that solved my problem.

  24. I thought the broadcast was decent enough, apart from when the ball was not in play like waiting for a corner and the AI went in search of it. The commentator has a difficult job without a sidekick or a support team in his ear and was ok with that in mind but just wasn’t adequately familiar with the players on the pitch. That needs to improve and he could have been better prepared in terms of recognising them.

    • Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Hopes amongst the Caley Jags support were at rock bottom ahead of this one with the threat of relegation looming large. With all hands to the pumps, Shaw, Boyes and Ujdur were brought back into the squad whilst not really 100% fit. Shaw started as did Pepple and Boyes with Billy Mckay, Lawal and Danny Devine dropping to the bench. Cammy Harper was given the Captain's armband today. It's a daunting task going to the lions den to face title favourites but underdog is our preferred tag. Anyway, 252 of them turned up at Tannadice in eternal hope and Duffy heightened the intensity only for Louis Moult to level things up. That's how it ended, a result we would have bitten your hand off before kick off.

    • Inverness CT 1-2 Ayr United - Report
Having sat through one of the worst games for many a year there is little to hope for now apart from Arbroath to keep losing because we certainly appear to find it difficult to win. We have no game changers in our squad and our manager is playing the wrong type of anti-football to help our cause. Big Dunc thought we were the better team. Pleeeeeaaase, give me a break! We were second to everything and Ayr were always one step ahead of us after the first three minutes. SHOCKER springs to mind.

    • Inverness CT 0-0 Airdrieonians - Report
These two sides looked as though they could play for the whole of March without scoring. In terms of opportunities, the hosts probably shaded it, but when we did miss the first defender, crosses invariably went behind the incoming strikers. On the one occasion we got on the end of the ball Billy Mckay's flicked header was cleared away from goal by Kanayo Megwa.
Not the worst 0-0 draw ever, but scoring opportunities were at a premium. Neither keeper was overly troubled and this game had scoreless written all over it given the evidence of the first twenty minutes.

    • Inverness CT -V- Airdrieonians - Preview
Promoted Airdrie are sitting in fifth place in the table, just below the play-off places with former Caley Jag Nikolay Todorov getting amongst the goals and he will provide a big test for our central defence. We have found Airdrie a difficult proposition at times this season but we did win the last home encounter against them.

What a start for Inverness and Billy Mckay, who answered his abusers from last week by opening the scoring in the second minute, firing into the top corner after an assist from Cammy Harper. Robbie Muirhead looked to respond but Mark Ridgers was equal to his effort in the fifth minute. Ten minutes before the interval Sean McAllister curled in a low free kick from the edge of the box to double our advantage and open his scoring account at Inverness. Plenty of bookings but no further scoring saw Inverness pick up a vital three points in the relegation battle although we still remain in ninth spot but only two points from Dunfermline in fifth.
