  1. Let's hope this goes ahead because we haven't played in at least a month and tbh, we can't afford another game needing rearranged! I'd imagine we will have a near full squad to choose from so, here goes lol. Ridgers Duffy, Devine, Deas, Harper Doran, McGregor, Vincent, Storey Sutherland and Keatings. Subs: Cam Mackay, Brad McKay, Welsh, Allardice, Carson, Dan Mackay and Todorov.

  3. Here's hoping it's on. The snow is thawing but surface water might be an issue. I'm so desperate to see them play that I'll even put up with the low quality streaming experience. Ridgers in goal then I'd like to see 3 at the back - Devine, Mckay and Deas, with Duffy and Harper pushing up. We need the Welsh and Allardice partnership in the middle to develop. Give MacGregor a free role in front of them. Then two from Keatings, Storey, Sutherland or Doran to complete the line up.

  4. We recorded it last night and hopefully I can get it ready for a release over the weekend. At this stage I'd say probably Sunday. Dennis was fantastic to speak to and happily answered anything we threw at him. Very honest and open about his career so hopefully you guys will enjoy it as much as we did!

  5. No Palace game this week (thankfully!), so would be nice for this one to go ahead and be streamed.... Looks fairly wet all the way until late Friday, although breezy, then the temperatures goes below freezing, but perhaps not long enough to affect the pitch (or might they run the under-soild heating for a period. Saturday itself looks OK, unless you we're sat in the stands getting chilled to the bone (which of course no one is) Actually a lovely sunny morning down here in South London, so I have my optimistic hat on. I sooo miss my trips up North Be good to see Carson back and see who goes in the wing in place of Kennedy.

  6. We should and if we do, it will be better than we did at home to them in the league last season when we drew 1-1 and 2-2. The defeat to them before Christmas should be fresh in the players’ minds and should act as a spur to put things right. In terms of the team, I’d like to see Daniel Mackay get game time in place of Kennedy and Carson feature if he is fit enough.

  7. Don't see too much wrong with that team save for getting Allardice in there instead of Vincent. Allardice has probably been (one of) our best player(s) this season so he has to start if he is fit. Mckay hasn't done that badly at RB though Duffy seems more robust there despite also being a CB by trade. There really is a massive Kai Kennedy shaped hole in the wide areas though. Doran (is he fit?) and Storey as wide men? We need reinforcements in that area for sure.

  8. Am no wasting another preview yet, see how the covid and weather pans out for the weekend. Meh!

  9. This games not going ahead it is. Snow melt will mean a saturated pitch followed by minus temperatures from Friday afternoon right through to kick off. Perfect conditions for a frozen pitch call off. Really hope I'm wrong

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...
