  1. Would it not have been possible/practical to have a Pt1 and Pt2? Just a thought. Anyway, besides that, well done guys and especially to His Royal Wyness I really enjoyed that. For a chap who kept himself to himself he could fair rattle once he loosened up. A round of a applause to all involved.

  2. That was really good, listening to ICT’s most modest legend just talking openly and honestly. Brought back so many memories of that era, and it really helped that he has such good recollection of games and events from 15-20 years ago. Credit too to the interviewers who did a very professional job and had clearly done a lot of research and preparation which didn’t go noticed.

  3. Struggling to think of much positive to take from that. It's hard to be too critical given the prolonged break from match action but even so some of the same old faults were evident. The continued softness at defending crosses (from set pieces especially) remains. There was precious little creativity from the wide players and some of the crossing was absolutely woeful. Maybe the heavy pitch didn't help. With a number of games coming up over the next couple of weeks we need to get back up to full speed quickly if we are to take advantage of our games in hand.

  5. Really grateful for all the kind comments about the pod here, and glad everyone seems to have enjoyed it. Thank you. I think this is spot on. He mentioned something early on about us having done our research, and he seemed to appreciate that. I think he was determined to give the best interview he possibly could, and either he's got an incredibly good recall of the narrative of his career, or he'd taken the time to do a bit of research and revision of his own. Either way, it says a great deal for him that he was so generous with his time and his memories and, as you say, a really nice guy.

  6. Lost all drive and focus at beginning of second half and just couldn’t get it back. No urgency nor anyone driving the team on. Have 10 man team the confidence to come forward and they could easily have won that. Can’t say I was impressed by that line up.

  7. Half time Decent half so far long may that continue into the 2nd. We can't take our foot of the gas just yet with Morton being down to 10 men

  8. Decent half of football with both teams trying to play football. Our quick equaliser was very important as Morton started very quickly. This game is not won, despite them being down to 10. We need to play the whole game tonight. Vincent’s performance has been a pleasant surprise and good to see Sutherland playing centre forward. MacKay’s goal the pick of the action so far.

  9. Morton goal disallowed for push by player before he headed it in. Nice to see the odd decision going our way!

  10. A great listen. He sounded a bit nervous at first but as soon as he heard you guys knew your stuff you could hear him relaxing. Came across as a really nice guy which is always good!

  13. I’ve paid Morton £14 for the game tonight. I hope the players make it worthwhile. After all the postponements, I’m really looking forward to it and, with it being an evening game, the beer is chilling already for kick off.

  14. The problem with researching stuff for Wyness was that so many of the internet sources no longer exist especially for his first spell with us. Even when he came back to us details around it are pretty sketchy although there are still some posts on here from 2008 which covered the contract saga which I was able to turn up having recalled the disagreement playing out in the local press at the time. Ian Broadfoot's book "Going Ballistic" was critical to the research of Wyness's earlier years at ICT. Without that we would have been pretty thing on 1999 - 2003 information. If anyone hasn't got a copy yet the club are still selling them for £5. I had to order a replacement copy as I've lost my original signed copy. As for releasing it as a two parter it's not something we think is a good idea on the whole. We did that with the Tremarco and Tansey interview and the second part saw a 30% drop in listeners which was a shame and we were wary of having something similar happen again.

  15. Excellent. For a guy who hardly spoke a word in his life, he certainly made up for it speaking to you guys

  16. You missed my reference to beer. I may make comments along the way but they may get less coherent so best that someone else tries to do the report!!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...

    • Partick 1-0 Inverness CT - Report
Big Trouble Down the Dump: Billy Mckay was back in the starting XI along with Samson Lawal with Pepple dropping to the bench and Shaw out for the season. Both teams had seven on the bench with Roddy MacGregor getting a rare seat. Scott Robinson scored the only goal of the game just before the break. Inverness were reduced to ten men when Cammy Kerr was sent off just after an hour. Despite creating more opportunities, the points just evaded us.

      Meh!
