  1. A decent 45mins on Saturday ,still no idea why he never came out for the second half. He looked comfortable on the ball, willing to run at defenders and put in some good crosses.

  2. I’m afraid that, watching ICT recently, I am back to my “more in hope than expectation” going to games.

  3. I hate to say it but on current form I think we are looking at another defeat. If so the board need to review our management team.

  4. I have been following football in Inverness since the late 1960s, admittedly through a red and black prism, and the name means nothing to me. Ted Collet sounds like he would have been a tough opponent for Alf Tupper on the running track. Maybe they could have shared a post race fish supper.

  5. He might be a bit like Gordon Ramsay playing for Rangers

  6. Nope. Have just had a quick look through Alex Main's "Caley All The Way", and Rodwill Clyne's "In A Different League", and didn't see any mention of someone by that name. The legendary Rod Clyne was Caley's no 9 for some of the period that you mention. Maybe Collett was a second team player, or played for another Inverness club - though I'd have thought I'd have heard the name. Google turns up nothing, except a massive - and I mean massive - site at www.collettfamilyhistory.net/ , which I am NOT looking through

  7. Fans patience is running out After another massive slump, this time against Morton, we are all but done with the Championship for another season. Partick are next up for us at the Caledonian Stadium on Wednesday night for a 7:45pm kick-off. I don't see many fans saying they are really looking forward to the next game. MATCH INFO/TICKETS/STREAMING Can we save our season? It has become alarmingly apparent that something is seriously wrong at the club. We can't buy a win at the moment. That's now seven games without a win or four points from a possible twenty-one since December 11th. That's the statistics that gets teams relegated and managers sacked. We seem to be at the crossroads and if something doesn't change soon, then we better get used to being in the Championship for the foreseeable future. On the plus side, there is still plenty games left to get back on track, unfortunately at this moment in time, that looks unlikely to happen. Our body language is a big giveaway and it looks like we have been found out. Much has gone wrong since then and I'm not sure we can turn that around overnight. Summary from 3-1 win in September: The run goes on - Partick Thistle came North with high hopes of ending Inverness' great start to the campaign in the knowledge that they have been scoring at the rate of three goals per game apart from Arbroath where they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Red Lichties. Billy Dodds had food for thought after the cup win over Buckie last week where Billy Mckay and Lewis Jamieson staked their claims for a start after scoring performances over the Highland League side. They started on the bench as he went with the tried and tested so far this season. Ian McCall had old enemy Brian Graham up front with Zac Rudden on the bench and watch out for defender Tunji Akinola who packs a punch with his feet. After a difficult first half, Inverness ran out comfortable winners against Partick Thistle in a second half goal blitz. The visitors dominated the first forty-five and Scott Tiffoney drilled the opener out of nothing as the defence backed off. Manny Duku was denied by a combination of keeper and post but it was Partick that should have scored a second, however Mark Ridgers did well to deny Brian Graham. Harsh talking at the break saw Inverness come out for the second half with the bit between the teeth and Kirk Broadfoot was the unlikely hero as his twenty yard shot evaded the outstretched fingertips of the keeper to level the score. Shane Sutherland did well to drill in the second from an angle after the keeper fluffed his lines allowing Shane to slot in from twenty yards. The third was a peach as Duku stepped over the ball and Aaron Doran fired high into the net for a brilliant goal and game over. That's five wins out of five and the run goes on... The reverse fixture at Partick saw us emerge with a thoroughly deserved win at 0-0 . According to many Partick fans we were the best thing since sliced bread. How wrong were they... Caley Jags pay the penalty: Partick Thistle survived to earn a point after the woodwork saved them twice and keeper Jamie Sneddon denied Sean Welsh from the spot after guessing the right way. Inverness were well on top but it's only a point which means Killie pull further away at the top. Performance of the day was from Arbroath who came from two down to beat Dunfermline Athletic 4-2. Despite not getting the win that was easily one of our best performances of recent weeks and I would have taken a point before the game but given how it played out it was definitely 2 points dropped. Sounds about right as we plumbed the depths to go down meekly to a less than average Morton side where Lewis Strapp scored the winner. No wins in our last seven games (LLDDDDL) Shocking statistics. Particks last game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, the previous game was a 1-0 win over Ayr United giving them (PWWDD) since the turn of the year. The other win was against Airdrie in the Scottish Cup (1-0). Latest Team News We will still be without Allardice, Devine, MacGregor, Doran and possibly Walsh. Having only brought in forwards in the window, it was obvious to all what would happen, except our management team. We are performing like headless chickens at the moment. Partick will no doubt have thug player and cheat Brian Graham up front.

  8. The odd thing is that against Partick, especially under Jobbie, we seemed to struggle badly when Robbo was in charge. Yet Dodds seems to have had his number in all three meetings so far this season. The 3 - 1 victory early in the campaign was one of the better performances from ICT this season and the 0 - 0 draw down at Firhill was one of the most one sided draws you'll ever see. Mindful of this I am actually feeling quite confident for tomorrow evening. ICT 0 - 3 Partick Thistle.

  10. When you look at our recent form it's worrying! We have to start winning.

  11. If we had brought in some actual defenders in January, we could put Carson into the Allardice role in midfield. As it is, we can look forward to weeks of 3-1-6 and being “unlucky”

  12. All I can say is that it is a blessing that living in the south of England, the English FA rules that prevent me from watching ICT on any streaming service, whilst live games are taking place in England, have saved me , over the last few weeks, the misery of actually watching the dross we have served up. It is hard enough reading about it on here, and I feel sorry for those of you who have actually watched our inept performances, either at the grounds or via streaming .I fear the only 'pay offs' we have a realistic chance of competing in now are those at the bottom end of the table.

  13. I have never written bad posts on here, slagging players gets you no where. But in all my years following this club, today was painful. Someone mentioned Arbroath and the fight they show for partimers.we were once that club and we played better football too. Never mind showing the players videos of Arbroath show them the ones of our teams battling and as every pundit used to love to say "punching above our weight". Let's get the pride back.

  14. 1. Get the whole squad in tomorrow and make them watch Scotland and what it means to be a team. Give them a cup of tea and then as someone suggested earlier make them watch the Arbroath v Killie game. 2. I cannot understand what Barry Wilson's role is in the management set up, I thought Kellacher was second in command. 3. Get our general manager, Robbo, to break his silence and share his thoughts on the season so far with the paying fans, it'll be too late at the end of the season.

  15. The gardyne incident is certainly a factor in our dip in form, he could unlock defences, and we do not have am abundance of ball players in the squad. Doran missing is another factor, bur for me, the overwhelming reason for our predicament is Dodds cannot change tactics when things are not working. Today for instance, we persisted with the long ball through the middle, and their number 5 just headed everything away, Dodds should have the tactical awareness to change it, but we were still doing it in the final minutes.

  16. When you can't even get the basics correct then it's already writing on the wall. I struggle to understand what we do all week in training when we put in a performance like that. Whats worse is that Morton had to do very little, it's not like they made us play that way. The telling thing is that we're all looking at other teams results because we know we're not good enough and we are reliant on them dropping points. We could learn a lot from Arbroath, part time or not, they are well drilled, well versed and play 100% with the belief that their manager has instilled in them and they know what they are doing.

  17. Forgot to screenshot it, but I’ve been getting adverts for Celtic strips this week. No idea how given I support whoever are playing both Old Firm teams.

    • Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Hopes amongst the Caley Jags support were at rock bottom ahead of this one with the threat of relegation looming large. With all hands to the pumps, Shaw, Boyes and Ujdur were brought back into the squad whilst not really 100% fit. Shaw started as did Pepple and Boyes with Billy Mckay, Lawal and Danny Devine dropping to the bench. Cammy Harper was given the Captain's armband today. It's a daunting task going to the lions den to face title favourites but underdog is our preferred tag. Anyway, 252 of them turned up at Tannadice in eternal hope and Duffy heightened the intensity only for Louis Moult to level things up. That's how it ended, a result we would have bitten your hand off before kick off.

    • Inverness CT 1-2 Ayr United - Report
Having sat through one of the worst games for many a year there is little to hope for now apart from Arbroath to keep losing because we certainly appear to find it difficult to win. We have no game changers in our squad and our manager is playing the wrong type of anti-football to help our cause. Big Dunc thought we were the better team. Pleeeeeaaase, give me a break! We were second to everything and Ayr were always one step ahead of us after the first three minutes. SHOCKER springs to mind.

    • Inverness CT 0-0 Airdrieonians - Report
These two sides looked as though they could play for the whole of March without scoring. In terms of opportunities, the hosts probably shaded it, but when we did miss the first defender, crosses invariably went behind the incoming strikers. On the one occasion we got on the end of the ball Billy Mckay's flicked header was cleared away from goal by Kanayo Megwa.
Not the worst 0-0 draw ever, but scoring opportunities were at a premium. Neither keeper was overly troubled and this game had scoreless written all over it given the evidence of the first twenty minutes.

    • Inverness CT -V- Airdrieonians - Preview
Promoted Airdrie are sitting in fifth place in the table, just below the play-off places with former Caley Jag Nikolay Todorov getting amongst the goals and he will provide a big test for our central defence. We have found Airdrie a difficult proposition at times this season but we did win the last home encounter against them.

    • Morton 0-2 Inverness CT - Report
What a start for Inverness and Billy Mckay, who answered his abusers from last week by opening the scoring in the second minute, firing into the top corner after an assist from Cammy Harper. Robbie Muirhead looked to respond but Mark Ridgers was equal to his effort in the fifth minute. Ten minutes before the interval Sean McAllister curled in a low free kick from the edge of the box to double our advantage and open his scoring account at Inverness. Plenty of bookings but no further scoring saw Inverness pick up a vital three points in the relegation battle although we still remain in ninth spot but only two points from Dunfermline in fifth.
