  1. Finally would represent a chance to get some return on the alleged 6 figure salary he's been getting while spending his time in Dingwall hospitality. Don't think he'd want the responsibility or blame

  4. The purpose of the survey is twofold. Firstly it is to try and identify the issues which would make the match day more enjoyable/comfortable for regulars. Secondly it is to identify factors which currently put people off from coming more often or at all. Clearly this is about issues other than how the lads perform on the park. Some may say that we all know what the issues are, so what's the point? The point is that if a small number of people tell the club that something is wrong, the club will say they can't make any changes just for a handful of folk when everybody else seems fine with the way things are. People will have a moan to friends and family but few actually feel able to complain when things are not right and the club seems to take the view that people don't complain to them, then they are happy with how things are. What a survey does is to give a voice to everyone and then (if sufficient people complete the survey) it provides evidence of the extent and depth of those views. For instance, if 2 or 3 individuals tell the club that the food offerings are poor and over-priced, the club will ignore it. If 200 of 300 people completing the survey say it is poor and over-priced and 50 of those say they rarely if ever buy it as a result and another 50 say it is a reason why they rarely go to matches, then that becomes rather hard to ignore. It is therefore really important that as many people as possible complete the survey so that issues can be identified and prioritised for action. It follows from this that we are particularly keen to get the views of people who rarely attend matches. Dwindling crowds is a real concern, and if aspects of the matchday experience other than the football is what is putting people off, then addressing those issues will help to attract people back. It will also, of course, make for a better experience for the regulars who are currently putting up with any shortcomings. Therefore it would be incredibly helpful if folk on here could forward the link to friends, family, colleagues etc who are not regular supporters and who might not hear about this survey from any other route. Your help in doing that would be much appreciated. https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/survey

  5. I think Tremarco and Warren would be an ideal duo. Both coaching at Ross County but I'm sure they would be interested in the gig.

  6. Obviously didn't fill in the form as I only attend one or two games every year or maybe every other year on trips across the pond, but I did read through the questions and agree they seem reasonable enough. As someone has said, you could ask only 2 questions, but then you would only get two answers. For this questionnaire, it seems a bit more in depth and may highlight areas of concern that were previously disregarded or thought as not an annoyance for many fans. That will allow the trust to focus on those areas with the club (assuming a dialogue is open and in place). Whether the club listen or not is a different subject and question, but the survey results would hopefully give a substantial set of data to build things on if they do. (that and a few wins of course!)

  8. I thought we were actually decent in spells last night. Easily better than the performance at the weekend though that's a pretty low bar. Henderson was seeing a lot of the ball down the right and he linked well with Carson who got much further forward to support him than he did on Saturday. MacKay on the other side was...okay but his touch often let him down as we've seen so often. Most of our early chances came from crosses or set pieces and there were some decent saves from Fulton in the Hamilton goal. Accies main threat going forward seemed to be our defending as we looked a bit of a shambles at the back giving the ball away a lot of the time and struggling with the physicality of the Accies forward line. No real surprise that when the goal did come it arrived via poor defending from ourselves. A short corner was whipped in and O'Reilly rose unchallenged and sent his header into the net possibly via a bounce off the ground which took it away from Ridgers. Similarly, given our joy down the right side when we did take a chance it wasn't a massive shock to see it come from a cross into the box. Henderson (I think) sent a low ball in and Accies only partially cleared the ball to the edge of the box and Allardice strode onto it and coolly passed it into the net. A deserved equaliser. Into the second half and Duffy missed what looked to be an easy chance when he headed wide from a corner and Mckay (Billy) played MacKay (Danny) in but he took a very heavy / awkward touch which looked like it came off his shin before it hit the post. Then followed some real controversy as Shaw gave the ball away and Accies broke down the ICT right which led to a chance which looked destined to hit the net but for a "block" by Harper (I think) on the line. It looked at the time he had blocked the shot with at least one of his arms but inexplicably Colin Steven and the assistant referee gave nothing. I guess they were unsighted but we definitely got away with one there. Not long after that Accies did take the lead when MacKay was chasing back and he clipped the Accies player in the box and sent him tumbling. Clear foul and I think a yellow was fair. I don't think it was a deliberate attempt to take out the player I think it was a very tired attempt at a challenge. Regardless, Smith scored with ease from the spot and we were behind once more. After that we seemed to lose our composure and Mckay went down in the box under a challenge but was booked for a dive. Seemed a bit harsh from where we were but things got even worse when he went down under another challenge in the middle of the pitch and was shown a second yellow presumably for kicking / lashing out or maybe just dissent. Again, I thought it might have been slightly harsh but that's probably with blue and red glasses on. As he walked off Dodds was barracked by a large number of the ICT supporters in attendance. A half hearted thumbs up suggests he knows his time is almost done here.

  9. Pains me to say it but without the OF goals distorting the Premier league stats this is exactly how that league would pan out if the OF decided to bugger off. Only difference being you would pay £40 odd rather than £20 odd to watch the garbage. Throughout the two 'full-time leagues the quality of players (and management) is probably the lowest its been for 20 years.

  12. Imagine being as ***** as we are, yet still only 5 points away from the play-off with 11 games to go. Utterly bonkers league where everybody is embarrassingly poor. BTW I'm not sure we can close that gap due to being utter ***** but based on our squad strength and depth it shouldn't have become impossible.

  13. Well I would have to say that I did NOT feel that Dodds was responsible tonight. Apart from Allardice and Billy there was no sense of quality. Danny McKay was awful and Shaw was a total lightweight. We missed or overplayed countless chances. We bossed large periods of the game but still looked uneasy and brittle every time that Hamilton came forward which wasn’t very often. We simply should have been strolling by the hour. Need to see replays but both of Billy’s cards looked soft if not wrong.

  21. Rodger’s Did nowt wrong and helpless at both goals and had a relatively quiet night Carson 3 smileys for bravery if not stupidity. I would have hooked him after 20 minutes. He was clearly ineffective in the second half and I hope there is no lasting damage. Harper Anne Robinson would quickly recognise him as being the weak link in the defence. He is a midfielder- Simples. Duffy I would prefer to see him as a full back but he did alright last night Devine Deserved better Henderson was lost without the fit Carson. BUT he was kept out wide whilst giving him a deeper and more central role would have been more effective Welsh always looked to as the playmaker but played more passes out wide like a crabesque Ray Wilkins Allardice My MOM again - perfect foil for a playmaker and worked his feckin socks off. Shaw I would have hooked him and slapped him all the way down the tunnel- lily livered Danny McKay see comment for Shaw - wouldn’t get a game for Hibs Women Billy McKay- surely he is only staying to surpass Wyness. Look so frustrated by the lack of vision of those around him. Was the sending off out of frustration as both decisions looked wrong. And when you look at the bench what could we have done - Deas and Samuels are not 100% - Doran certainly could have replaced either Shaw or Danny - Delaney for Harper - and Hyde for Shaw.

  22. Absolutely spot on. He tried to replicate the Livi plan and that simply does not apply to Hamilton away. However if some players had applied a more deft touch then we could have left with a healthy win. But as the jaggie points out Dodds simply does not have the coaching brain. I do actually feel a bit sorry for him as he has had injuries galore and I would be livid at some players who he has retained the faith in. I do sense that there is a silent supporter factor fan wise and Dodds may think that he has the back up from above. But there would be widespread damnation if he stayed on after this season. His best bet is to get us out of the relegation potential and beat Killie. Then he can go with his head not touching the floor and leave the club to rebuild and recover. RIG’s match report is spot on so I will add a rather blunt smileymometer !!

  23. This season is now a write off. There is no way the club can go into a new season under the current regime. This club needs an urgent clean out and rethink. From Scot Gardiner down needs to be shown the door. They have had long enough to turn things around and the only turning we have managed is a complete freefall. Who do people see as the team to turn the fortunes of this club around and actually make football enjoyable to watch again in Inverness ?. In team I mean manager, coaches and someone at the helm of the club itself that can steer the club in the right direction.

  25. Picking up on IHE’s comments, who’s the better left back, Harper or Delaney? Delaney was getting MoM points for fun earlier in the season but faded a bit. Harper looks better in a more advanced role. I’d bring Delaney back for Saturday as hopefully his spell on the bench will have motivated him. Or do we put Deas in as he’s the best of the lot despite being an excellent centre half. What’s happened to Lewis Nicholson: is he injured? Hopefully Samuels is fit enough to start in place of Mackay, but who do we play up front? It’s a big ask of Cairns but we’ve no other out and out striker available.

  26. It's a state of mind issue. It sounds as though the commitment was there today and lots of chances were made. But they weren't taken. Against Livi when there was little pressure we had 4 attempts on goal and 3 excellent composed finishes. So we know the guys can do it. In the last two games we have had far more and easier chances but not taken them. Even the best players make bad mistakes and players at our level will make plenty of mistakes. What they need to know is that they are not going to blamed or bawled at every time they make a mistake. They need to maintain the confidence that whilst they will make some mistakes, they will get it right often enough to make a difference. It seems players are panicking in front of goal and either rushing it or overthinking it. The coaching staff need to give them the confidence to help them relax and focus on the job in hand rather than worrying about making a mess of it. It doesn't look if that is happening.

  27. The only issue that I would have raised tactically tonight is that we should have packed the midfield more. Henderson was rarely involved, especially when Carson departed and Danny McKay was simply awful - whilst Shaw could not punch his way out of a paper bag. But again we went for it and for long periods were the better team. Our defensive frailty was down our left flank. Deas and Samuels will make a big difference. Going to stop now as I still can’t fathom how we lost tonight. With the returning players we may well make Hampden and be safe but the loss of McKay will halt any play on appearance. So it is not a Dodds at fault accusation but pointing the finger at 4 players who let us all down tonight

  30. Love to hear the thoughts of others in attendance but we really should have been out of sight and at one stage a hammering by us was on the cards. We either missed chances, made an awful last touch or made terrible touches when in good positions. We then gave away a stupid penalty and - perhaps blame Dodds - but we get it down the wing -?but instead of taking defenders on we blast it aimlessly into the box.

  31. Not to excuse the manager altogether, but both these games against Hamilton have been characterised by numerous individual errors which caused goals to be conceded and good scoring opportunities to be missed.

  33. Dodds keeps saying ' we're a right good team', well sorry Billy, it's the worst ICT team that I have watched. The rhetoric from Dodds about getting into the playoffs and other teams know we're a good team are starting to sound like the noises that Foran was making towards the end, and we know how that season ended!

  38. First Half Accies started where they left off in Inverness pushing the visitors onto the back foot from the start looking to impose themselves on the game early on. Steve Lawson had an effort cleared from the line by Cammy Harper and Connor Smith brought Ridgers into action before Sean Welsh headed over and Billy Mckay and Scott Allardice had efforts for the visitors. However, Accies took the lead when a Lawson short corner fed Connor Smith who crossed in for Daniel O'Reilly to powerfully head home. JP Tiehi missed from close range following a corner but Dan Mackay and Nathan Shaw retaliated for Inverness and Scott Allardice headed wide. Danny Devine had a shot blocked in the box ten minutes before the break and Welsh headed wide at the back post after a corner as Inverness threatened to get back on level terms. Billy Mckay had a header blocked away for a corner as the pressure ramped up heading towards the interval and it paid off in the 43rd minute when Allardice drilled home from the edge of the box to level the game after a Carson cross was half cleared. A deserved goal for the Caley Jags who have pushed hard to get back on level terms. HALF TIME 1-1

I am not a trust board member, however, for around a year now on a voluntary basis I have been trying to lift the profile of the trust and have been responsible for building the website and any graphic design work. I am very much in communication daily with the board members. In this time we have doubled the membership. The survey has been developed solely by myself and the board members. The football club itself have given us the backing to go ahead with this and hopefully it's the start of better things to come.

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.

It's Now or Never: That's what Elvis used to say. We are in deep trouble up to our necks with no signs that we can turn this around. Defeat to Arbroath could be the final nail in our coffin with only fifteen points available to us ahead of this game. The play-offs are looking more likely by the minute, but it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that automatic relegation is still an option should Arbroath beat us on Saturday. With the long suffering fans rapidly losing faith in Big Dunc, it's crunch time as Arbroath head North to the venue they won at the last time they were here. Sadly they come to the Caledonian Stadium off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Airdrie, and we could all but relegate them on Saturday with a win. However, that's nothing to gloat about as we could be next...

Big Trouble Down the Dump: Billy Mckay was back in the starting XI along with Samson Lawal with Pepple dropping to the bench and Shaw out for the season. Both teams had seven on the bench with Roddy MacGregor getting a rare seat. Scott Robinson scored the only goal of the game just before the break. Inverness were reduced to ten men when Cammy Kerr was sent off just after an hour. Despite creating more opportunities, the points just evaded us.
