It's credit to Kellacher that the mindset and approach has changed so immediately. We're seeing it in how the team play and in press conferences and interviews that we've moved from an attitude of 'must not lose' to a more positive 'we can win'. Things aren't perfect but that's being acknowledged with a view to working on improvements instead of throwing out tired excuses and complaints and playing victim. Survival in league 1 is still a monumental challenge and whether we manage it or not there feels like there is a true sense of belief about the club again that's been missing for a long time. We play the league leaders again next week and I'm looking forward to it.7 points

Scott &co. & his boys deserve all the credit we can give them .Their fight back yesterday was incredible against the top team .So proud of them, and to see Scott's delight when we scored was heart warming .They played their hearts out right up to the end .Well done to one and all .Keep it up boys we can do this .7 points

Thanks for the video links Don. Scott’s post match interviews are a breath of fresh air. I’d given up on them with Dodds spouting the same **** every week and DF just carried on the same. Thoroughly enjoy listening to him and hearing what he has to say, sounds like the lads are really bonding well in the face of adversity - HMS Sneck is steaming along nicely once again. …and it was great to hear from Musa too, seems like a really nice guy and if he carries on the way he’s started then he will be a firm fan favourite right enough.6 points

First time at an ICT game for a shamefully long time and really enjoyed that! Didn't see what the penalty was for (can anyone enlighten me cos nobody appealed for it that I saw?) Thought the team were excellent in the second half, proper attack after attack and our win was deserved. Hopefully the start of a winning run. Also shout out to the team bus driver for offering to let our daughter take the drivers seat, she loved it6 points

The second half was definitely the best I have seen from us in a long long time. Positive going forward with the belief to shoot from distance Quite ironic really that the two young guys who scored would probably be nowhere near the starting 11 if the plans for Kelty had been forced through. Both would be out on loan ,replaced by some ageing central belt duffers who couldn't get a game anywhere elsewhere and who just turned up on a Saturday.5 points

On a day when a depleted Crystal Palace lost at home and a depleted Sutton United team lost away, coming out of an event and seeing this briliant result really made my weekend. It feels like the team are playing with a bit more freedom, conviction and energy. And we still have some gems in the team. Obviously the worry is if we get a Dodds-era injury crisis [which with our squad is now 2-3 players being out!] it could make life more difficult.... but aside from that I am buzzing for my trip up for QotS away in two weeks time4 points

Absolutely buzzing after that result. Well done to all concerned. A nice wee winning run to finish off a desperate 2024 is the Xmas present we all need. Perfectly achievable I think. Onwards and upwards4 points

I hadn’t until today been taking much notice of League One crowds apart from Inverness ones (which seem to end in 01-05 incredibly frequently) and was quite surprised to see the crowd at Cove today was as low as 551. At Inverness they remain in the 1509-1900 range and today in League One, the 1565 for the local derby between Montrose and Arbroath was way above any of the others and probably exceptional because it was a derby. So far, ICT don’t seem to have done too badly maintaining the kind of crowds they had in the Championship with a fairly small drop off. Let’s hope that this can continue because a fall to what emerges as typical L1 numbers would be fairly disastrous. A credible campaign to survive in the third tier would certainly help.4 points

Just knew that win was coming and hopefully it is the start of a long run. |Well done lads and this is just the start - enjoy the ride.4 points

We were excellent 2nd half I thought. Pele was sitting with Grassa and Savage, was nice to see him.4 points

Only 20 points behind now, even after being deducted 15 ! Amazing how much better things are when the bad apples are removed from the barrel.3 points

That’s potentially a season defining win. After losing an early goal, to save a penalty and score two goals to turn it round and get our first away win is just what the players needed. By all accounts it was a well deserved result and, after the players hearing the support they have from fans in Bar 94 after last week’s game, confidence must be high. We’ve made up 4 points in Dumbarton over the last 2 games. There is still a long way to go, but things are looking up. Now we need a good crowd next week to help the team overcome Alloa and get us back to back league wins for the first time this season.3 points

Brilliant to see the two young western isles lads on the score sheet! Also the ICT social media team were brilliantly on point in posting “siri, play Western Isles by Peat and Diesel”…need to have that tune at the Caledonian Stadium to encourage them!2 points

For me it’s 50% as we should discount the Dumbarton game given what he and the players had been through in the days leading up to it.2 points

A fine afternoon for a game of football and after a minutes silence it was game on. Billy Mckay brought out the first save of the game but one minute later we were behind. No surprise for guessing that Mitch Megginson opened the scoring. The on form striker fired home after Fraser Fyvie threaded a ball to Blair Yule who unselfishly teed up Megginson to open the scoring. Half an hour gone and chances were difficult to come by with Cove not shy to halt our attacks by fair or foul means. Touch wood and Cove had the opportunity to double their lead when Megginson stepped up to take a penalty after he was fouled by Jake Davidson. Musa Dibaga saved his spot kick and two minutes later we were level when Adam MacKinnon's shot from outside the box found the net. Just before the break Luis Longstaff slashed wide after James Nolan headed down to him in the box. HALF TIME: 1-1 Longstaff and Billy Mckay missed the target and Nolan had his attempt saved as the visitors started the second period on the front foot. Goal scorer MacKinnon was unfortunate as his long range shot came back off the post and Nolan missed the target after good work by Jake Davidson. Megginson brought Dibaga into action as the big keeper denied the strikers low shot towards the bottom corner, the keeper saving comfortably. Charlie Gilmour's deflected shot from range at the opposite end had the same result, Demus saving. However, the visitors persistence paid off when Keith Bray drilled in from outside the box. Gilmour shot over and Mckay saw his shot saved as the visitors looked for a wee cushion in the final quarter of the game. Into the final ten and substitute Declan Glass fired just over as Cove looked to level the game. In the final minutes Glass saw Dibaga save from close range at the expense of a corner as the visitors held firm for an important three points. FULL TIME: 1-22 points

I wonder if that penalty save from Musa could be something of a sliding doors moment. By all accounts we were outstanding after the save and it seemed to galvanise the team. He comes across as a thoroughly decent guy as well as a good goalkeeper so delighted for him. Back to a positive points total seems like a milestone. A tough couple of games coming up but onwards and upwards we go.2 points

You are right that conceding the first goal is usually fatal for us - but I think the last comeback was at the end of January when we won 3-2 at Raith (when we thought Alex Samuel was going to be our saviour after his hattrick)1 point

Am I correct in remembering that’s the first time we’ve picked up 3 points since being a goal down since Queen’s Park last December? Either way, domineering second half performance…. On the bus back from Aberdeen feeling more positive than longer than I care to think1 point

Full time! What a result. Dumbarton losing too makes it even better. Going by the stats we completely dominated with lots of shots on goal. Shows we can compete with any team in this league. Reduced the gap to Dumbarton to 11 points.1 point

Montrose 2-3 Inverness CT - League 1
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2024-25,
A dramatic ending to the game with Paul Allan snatching the win and up until that moment probably the MotM award from Cammy Gill who broke Inverness hearts on at least a dozen occasions throughout the game. When Paul's angled shot ended up in the net, the MotM award was diverted to the Inverness match winner with Gill holding his head in disbelief.-

Montrose v Inverness CT - League1 - Preview
tm4tj posted an article in Previews 2024-25,
It's another away game for the Caley Jags as they head to Links Park, Montrose for another tough fixture on the road in our quest to get closer to the teams above us. We tumbled out of the Cup last weekend at Cove whilst Montrose earned a trip to Hampden, the prize for beating Peterhead 2-3 at Balmoor Stadium. Scott Kellacher has mounting injury concerns with Defender Remi Savage the latest to be added to the list that already has the names of Jake Davidson, Keith Bray, Charlie Reilly, Connall Ewan and Lewis Nicolson.-

Cove Rangers 2-0 Inverness CT - Scottish Cup
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2024-25,
No scoring in the first half, not for the want of trying, but two very late goals, one from the spot after a dubious handball attributed to Danny Devine put Cove into the draw for the 4th Round. Substitutes Glass with the penalty and McGrath with a strike into the bottom corner sent the Caley Jags tumbling out of the cup after it was looking good for soooo long.-

Inverness CT 1-0 Alloa Athletic - League 1
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2024-25,
Two wins on the trot for Billy and Kells and not only wins but a dash of panache at times as well. Unfortunate not to score more and fairly comfortable most of the game. Only downside was an injury to Jake Davidson as he was challenged on his own through ball by keeper Morrison.-
