You are underestimating how ***** the Championship is if you think Raith have any chance of winning the play-offs

Aye County were jammy last year but I think they will see off Raith if that’s how it works out.

High winds and a big swell forecast for tomorrow but the Loch Seaforth should glide through it or :pukeright:

I am going to miss the Raith game on Friday night as I got tickets for Eddi Reader before the game was changed for TV so will have to see you the next time.

Funny you should say that, got an email yesterday from Albert Halls in Stirling saying Eddi Reader is there on the 27th. We were there last month to see Beluga Lagoon! Not a massive fan but I’ll be in Islay anyway…

Seaforth was great just like the lasagne 😍

I was expecting superb drone footage of the launch of Glen Rosa today   I did see it on line with the weather being blamed and a hitch with wasting a good bottle of malt whisky

I was told a good story about Calmac that never makes the news.  At the port of Uig there was a full load booked and one large campervan on standby.  The loading officer thought he could take them all and put the campervan up front as normal with large vehicles but then they were left with one booked car not able to get on   an immediate shout was put out for all drivers to return to their vehicles, moving the forward a few inches the last car got onboard.  Great customer service all aboard:clapping:

Aye I think the weather warnings were a bit ott but I decided not to go. Wasn't sure how busy it would be and was going early in order to get parked, and it's not very handy for food etc out at Fergusons. Wondered if it would be too wet for the drone but it seems to have been dry enough. Had a scary time in Glasgow last weekend - nearly lost it in the wind 😂 Regretting it a wee bit now seeing all the photos.
I'm on a FB page called friends of calmac and there are countless stories about the kindness of the staff, despite 'non-friends' continually dragging it off topic. It angers many residents as Calmac actually have a reliability in the 97-99% range but the media have got a bee in their bonnet and apparently all the islands are cut off every week.
Anyway I'm off on the Loch Seaforth tomorrow so missing the QP game but I'll be in Sneckie next Friday night. So come and say hello if you’re in the North Stand - I sit with Caley100 and Billy Fisher and various TM4TJ incarnations.

Yeh… whatever rocks your boat. If you want to make a big song and dance over the fact that I might better have included the words “clubs like”…. on you go.

Oh, we both know it’s not about me 😉

I think ‘floats’ is the word you’re after…

Ken, a chartered accountant, was one of the best chairmen, if not the very best that the club has had and, for instance, it was largely due to him that the club negotiated the minefield designed to keep ICT out of the SPL in 2004.

Even by your standards, that's a cracker. Well played Lazarus 😂
So the "minefield" that kept Falkirk out in 2003, and on 2 previous occasions, was actually "designed" for ICT 😂
Elderly men and big spotty teenager prejudices. Remarkable.

Good photo Mantis much better than you get from up a telephone pole

I hope you get on!  It was double booked last week and the police were there to stop a riot, just as well it was before this new law was passed or they wouldn't be able to attend   There was a problem with the new computer system that cost them millions, might be Fujitsu   it worked fine when I used to phone them up to book always helpful.

I just got an email from them this morning at 8.07 as two of us are going over to Islay on the 26th. The email is thanking me for my standby booking yet I booked about 6 weeks ago! I’ll have to phone them. A four hour drive to Kennacraig plus accommodation paid for, not to mention all the distillery visits which is about another £100…

Edit- got it changed to a confirmed booking even though we’ll be arriving about 7pm on the Friday and leaving about 1pm Monday. It’s because the MV Finlaggan is away for its annual refit so the Heb Isles and the LOTI are filling in. Had been hoping to nip over to Jura on the Friday afternoon but hey ho…

  8. Here’s one of the Loch Seaforth arriving in Ullapool in February. I was a bit late arriving so hope to get better shots next Friday.

  9. A lot depends on how settled Billy is up here. The only way he’ll get more money is by moving back to England. The opportunities are limited up here. He’s 36 in October so when you look at the options (Elgin, County, Peterhead plus the likes of Brora) maybe he’s as well staying here.

  10. Wakey wakey guys 😂

Also have to remember these are wonky playoffs compared to the playoffs that we should've been chasing. No two week break while the seasiders batter eachothers lights out for us to pick up the pieces at the end, we're thrown into the mixer as well.

But I think its 11th v 4th and 2nd v 3rd in the Semis, and all seem to start the week after the leagues finished and end around the 20th

It think it’s the midweek right after the weekend. Hopefully not and it’s not until the following weekend as I’m away.

Couldn’t find anything when I looked a few weeks ago. I’ve just posted approx dates on the match thread based on last season. In any case, they always come right on the heels of the last league game.

Approximate diary dates based on last season:

Following the Morton game, we’ll face an away trip, possibly Tues 7th, to club 4, say Montrose or Cove. Then at home on the Sunday afternoon. If we survive that, it’s rinse and repeat the following week against the winners of the other tie, say Alloa or Hamilton, away first.

  11. Far too late now to make any difference. With hindsight Dunc should have been gone round about the QPFC home defeat on 3rd Feb. Charlie and possibly Robbo could maybe have salvaged something.

Is anyone able to confirm dates for the playoffs yet? I’ve had a look around and can’t see anything. I’m sure I have seen these announced before in previous seasons.

For a team that doesn't score goals, what chance have we got in the playoffs?

I hope we're practicing penalties cos it's the only way we'll get through with Ferguson's tactics aiming for 0-0 each game!

WTF. What a bizarre load of tripe. Must be getting interview tips from Richie Foran.

That was my impression. Also seemed like a carbon copy of last week’s interview at Tannadeechay.

Now we have to accept that the best we can do is get a result against Hamilton or whoever in the playoffs.

I wish it were that simple. It's not like the Premiership playoffs. We come in at the semifinal v club 4.

I would now take 9th place tbh. I fear that Arbroath will beat us next week and we will be overtaken by them. There is nothing in our coaching staff or current squad with any capability to halt the continued downward spiral.

You think that, even if we take 0 points from 15, Arbroath can take 10 from 18? I’ll have a bit of that action, what odds are you offering?

I was there. If we played till midnight we wouldn't have scored. After the non pen then their offside goal we never looked like doing anything

Yip, another ‘fine performance’ without any goals.

Without a shadow of doubt next week is a must win game if ever there was one!

If we do win it, and it is a big if, then hopefully that will give them some confidence to take into the QP game and beyond.

All we can do is hope, I think the believe ship has already sailed.

We’re Donald Ducked. 9th it is, and 4 cup finals to save the season.

A point is good under the circumstances, well done to all. Reckon our goal difference could make the difference as we head for the finish line.

The other results haven’t helped at all. Could have done with Ayr taking at least a point against Queens which would have reined them in. Instead our nearest rivals are Ayr with a game in hand. Also the Pars winning at Morton has stretched their lead.
