  1. So, Stevie...how is Marius doing?
  2. I mean "Pre-Season" of course.
  3. The Whitecaps win their first MLS game down in A rizona or New Mexico, somewhere, handsomely.
  4. Anybody alive out there? Care to post.....anything? It's lonely out here in the wilderness. Raining cats and dogs . What's new in La La Land?
  5. There you go--sorted! Miffy and Diffy to the rescue.
  6. The table does not lie. We must start winning now at all costs to overcome the fact that some teams could leapfrog us very easily if they win even their next game . The new boys have a lot to gain from putting out a good effortand this will strengthen the performance and resolve of the team as whole. Wins will lift spirits from the flagons and lift the flagging spirits so do not despair, we are only one win away from the GREAT RSURGENCE.
  7. King Beastie Och! What's life without a smile eh?
  8. Some positive action by Terry. Chris Hogg appears to be a good, forward-looking move. At his age , if given the right encouragement, he could do a right good shift for Caley Thistle well into his "thirties". We all know that something is really wrong at the Hibs - I mean, how could the former club captain not be in the team as it is? Additionally, the poster who extolled his character virtues has a very good point. He can lead the younger players by example and he can set an example of what true professionalism is --hard work, dedication and honesty of attitude and purpose.Which is exactly what theteam needs to find in all new players. I think that once all the new signings for ICT get their boots under the table and we get a few more wins under our belts , this team may very well find their 1st Division form again and, if so, anything is possible. The other two English players? If they are determined to make the most of their "first team" places then they could also be very good signings. What I am hoping is that ICT will , from now on, simply get better and better and then we may have an embarrasment of riches . Which means we would have plenty of good cover for injuries and/or we could get good money for the odd player if we chose to transfer them for whatever reason, if they are on a contract by then. I feel that Terry is proving to be a great asset to Caley Thistle and, under his drive , leadership and encouragement of budding stars, we now could be on the verge of great progress. The Pimple is optimistic....
  9. Well, Donview, you never know but I may make the trip over to take you up on your offer if we win the cup. What a blast that would be for this year. Scarlet
  10. Well, that tackle on Shinnie against the Dons was a disgrace and could easily have severely injured him. I will rephrase that --it was a BLOODY disgrace! I think some of the more Tokely-esque players on the team should march up to the offender in the opposing team, clasp his hands behind his back and push the guy around with his chest and keep at it. Can hardly be construed as rough stuffand how can it be a foul when the feet and hands are not used. Just a thought. There is no doubt that if you don't stand up for yourself you can easily get sat upon. As Rodney Dangerfield was wont to say.--"You don't get no respect" A bit of shoulder shoving would not go amiss either. If all else fails, our players could creep up behind the other guy when the ref was not looking and scream a shocking noise into his ear --now that would be unnerving . A burst eardrum is no joke. Even better, every member of ICT could creep up on the ref at any moment and shout at the top of their voice"FOUL." Apart from that, let's beat the opposition fair and square...
  11. Not necessarily DBD. They might just want the opportunity to look at another option and choose which player they think will fit in better for their team. Let's give both the new players a real chance to fit in the team to see what they can do. Who is worried about 5.7" being a drawback? If the player can run round the opposing team's players who cares? Jonny Hayes is short is he not......? It's spirit and heart that matters , right? Juanjo was not exactly a big bruiser was he? C'mon give the lads a chance.
  12. Spot on positive post from the Special Sponge.
  13. With his buddy Fletcher--maybe?
  14. MacDonald from Burnley coming in?
  15. At 5 foot seven inches, stocky and quick. A bit like Jonny , methinks. Me also thinks that he will be very tricky and direct. And being on the small side, a target for some of the dirtier SPL players. He will learn a lot from playing in the SPL and he may also inject a bit of urgency and renewed spirit into the team. Very interesting signing. POSITIVE. Could be a star with us.
  16. So you are not coming then? Och! Fairweather fan--won't even travel 3000 miles to see his team.
  17. Mike--not picking you out or anything but I translated your post and it was "We couldn't take out chnces and didn't score enough goals to win". Anything else is hyperbole.
  18. "There is many a slip twixt cup and lip." And that applies to all the other teams as well as ICT.Regardless of how many games that ICT have played they do have the points in the bag and as a result are ahead of the others behind them. Secondly, Adam will get his act together in a more mature and professional way if no one comes in for him by the end of January. He has to if he expects his career to end on a high, this season or any other. Thirdly, Jonny will shortly be fully fit and this will lift the team. He sure looked effective in the vide I have just seen. That pass that he slotted through towards the end was magic. So the team has to hold the ship steady, get their determination and confidence back up to speed and things will get back on track. And if Terry reaches what he feels is a safe-point in the season maybe he should throw caution a little bit to the winds and order ALL_OUT_ATTACK. YES!
  19. On the other hand it might be at Swangard Stadium which is in the suburbs and musch closer to where I live. So no t a problem.
  20. The Whiteaps appear to have taken a really young player onto thier books in preparation for their MLS debut.. He was 2nd in the draft and , as a new MLS entrant, they had first choice in the draft but moved in favour of this youngsterinstead. They had been watching him for some time and from the way they are talking about him he must be the new budding Lional Messi or something. From what the coaches are saying he has literally everyuthing to be a great star. Let's just wait and see. I think the first Canadian teams meeting will be a somewhat nervy affair. But I won't be there I don't think, because the stadium is downtown and the transport from the suburbs will be packed. I never drive a car into the downtown because it's either one-way streets or buses and cars galore. Anyway, Scotty , if you are thinking of coming to Vancouver be sure to give me call well beforehand and we can meet up. And you can even stay with me, overnight or whatever, in Maple Ridge and take it from there and, if you want, I can meet you at the airport and will make sure that you can get to one of the Skytrain (elevated guideway rail transport) stations for the match. Cheers Scarlet
  21. You are really on the ball Scotty. I think that I will do the same because I tam now realising that this blocking thing is getting more "over the top" by the day.
  22. Anyway, for those who can post updates on this thread I say "thank you".
