  1. Are we a bit Haysesy on this? Is he going to get his ribbed strapped up or not?
  2. Why was the culture allowed to develop[ you say? Answer...Fear! And the antidote to that toxic feeling is ...discussion. I don't think Don was "wrong" because he made statements based on information which he sought but which was not available to him at the times of his comments. Unless he had done this he could not have pursued the matter. The fact that he did, and in the process forced a positive outcome, suggests that his attitude and comments could have been more right than wrong at the time he made them. Remember it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil! So,well done, honest Don! I was wondering who actually penned the article on behalf of the Supoporters Trust? It was well written.
  3. Rooney is making it because he is not a skiver and is not lazy. He also accepts responsibility for his work, his place in the team and for doing something really with effort and with passionate desire as the motivation. Scotty hit the nail on the head when he underscored the responsibility of all of us to adapt to the requirements of the job.The company pays our salary and not the other way around. Rooney deserves respect and plaudits fror turning round his poor performances at the beginning into something very positive. Oh, sorry I almost forgot this was a thread about Mr Barrowman. Was he like Rooney? Well, read between the lines........
  4. Anyone know the crowd at TCs today---or tonight?
  5. Went to refill the coffee cup and ---3 up. Holy Moleskin. Barrowman obviously cannot be playing--othetrwise County would be 3 up, what? The besat place to be today is watching this thread=the other text spaces on the net are too sporadioc and don't update fast enough. We shall have to try very hard from now on to have our very own ICT radio broadcasts. Lomg live that day. Smile. :020:
  6. Hi Buckett--I would if I could but I can't. Nae money in the accoont. The wife told me a year ago that she wanted to go on a cruise from Los Angeles down the Mexican Coast and the ticket would be $600. She did, two weeks ago but she decided , with her East Indian Friends, to go to Disneyland AFTERWARDS, AND GO ON ALL THE RIDES,also. She also forgot to mention the air fares, the bus travel, the gratuities on board the Norwegian Star (now owned by some Asian wallah) etc plus tyhe purchase of the Mexican trinkets, etc, and the bill has now come in. So you will have to wait for that drink old chap!. But how come I didn't see you at the Oympics here in Fanny Couver? Was that ever a good gig. Usual crowd downtown every night was about 30,000 and every pub and charnel house was packed to the gunwales. Sigh! Old Scarlet did not fancy trying to find a parking spot doon toon and chickened oot. Holy Mackerel. I,m broke.About $2,000 I think, the bill was --I didn't ask just waited for the Bank Statement and prayed!. LOL :)
  7. What a tome. Sniff. And not a word about the Scarlet Pimple. Manfer needs to get out more. OMG, is that him sprinting round the corner--oops! Ah'm aff! :)
  8. For the game on Tuesday night and overses listeners does anyone have any information about BBC broadcasts?
  9. This **** is on top of the dungheap --but not about to crow yet. Maybe, after Tuesday night. Now back to my ****-aleekie soup ..missed my conflakes since I was listening to "Open All Mics". :D :D
  10. All results today right into Caley Thistle's basket! :D
  11. Dundee are now a chicken ripe for the plucking.
  12. Is your semi a Hemi?
  13. Is this thgread about County etc or Caley Thistle? What's happening at the match...please?
  14. Since he seems to be able to score penalties then he has been chosen on more than one occasion to take the kick. This has boosted his tally a tad, rather than his scoring them all with skill and so forth. Not to detract from the fact that he has improved greatly since the start of the season and it is great to see that he is finally being effective in the lone striker role, so long may it continue. With good support he might really turn out to be a winner by the seasdon's end. And ICT's goal difference continues to be the best in the league. Had they not lost some awful goals (e.g. the deflection for Dundee that won them a draw last week) then Caley Thistle would be top of the league.
  15. Looks as if anyone could win the league. Better pay attention to what is going on here at Tulloch and never mind the opposition. Every game is vital from now on.
  16. How did Rooney manage to turn that one " that only needed a tap to put it in the net" round the post? Without the killer instinct, ICT will not be able to win the league, I'm afraid. With Dundee up against it and 0-2 down, less defending and more attacking would seem to have been the best policy. I am a great believer in attacking football. Apart from anything else if the ball is in their half, then it lessens their chances of coming back when they are on their knees. Of course, easier said than done. ICT probably was a bit tired too. I think youth and inexperience has a lot to do with it --referred to by some on here as lack of mental toughness. Sigh. + Grrrrrrr!
  17. Scarlet Pimple replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
Don't despair Gordy from Sneck. If TB feeds him up and he puts' on a bit of weight he will be a well-rounded player won't he? ;)
  18. A Larger SPL is required for obvious reasons. --May happen. Then a merger between ICT and County, with games to be played at Tulloch. Rationalisation makes perfect sense . Smile. Then reduced prices introduced The Old Firm beatles off to England. Will not happen.
  19. Scarlet Pimple replied to tm4tj's topic in Caley Thistle
Maybe the play is a bit more robust than he may have been used to so, if he has the potential, then let TB assist him along the path which should result in a very well-rounded player for ICT eventually.
  20. Wisely investing in a hedge, fund more like.!
  21. So--what date is the final hearing set for? Atevico --do you know? It would be a relief to put this case to rest and then be free to get on with current affiars.
  22. Little choice-a nw Manager for the next season would require more adjustments, more turmoil, etc. Stability is what is required at this point and it would help some players to like the Manager if they knew that buckling to and earning a place by hard work for a Manager who has the backing of the Board might not be a bad thing! I think that TB would look favourably upon any player that always is co-operative, works hard in training and does his best. What more could a Manager ask of any player? And if that is not sufficient for the Manager to promote the player and give him his chance then what does that tell ypu--he does not rate him? If so, there are other opportunities around for said player to try to progress at another team and to realise that life can be unfair.
  23. Mars Bars are smaller than they were when I was a boy. I've been thinking about writing to the company. :P
  24. Not being lawyers , and not knowing the basis on which the club's lawyers are advising them to go forward, we can only speculate. Which is too irrational and exhausting a process for us to waste time on any more. This appears to be specially true when one takes into account that the club have only recently had the advantage of reviewing the FIFA ruling. We, as onlookers, in many cases have been willing to go out on a limb with our views without the benefit of having evn studied that document. Which reminds me of the adage...."Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread." On this Forum this case has just about been done to death so I, for one, am content to let the club proceed and see if, in fact, they have a case. I doubt very much that saving "face" is the prime, or any, motivator because saving face for any offciial at the club will not help them avoid insolvency or increasing financial troubles and, in any event, the main players in this dramatic stage play DO appear to be busy people who probably could se this case far enough and would much rather spend their time in a more productive manner. This news is interesting and we may yet be surprised at the outcome of this case.
