  1. Thinks...you were Marty Wares weren't you Stevico1? :001: Or "the Squirrell"? Remember Marty, IHE" Talk about a running fight. Highly-entertaining though on both fronts. And I am sticking mit der Scarlet (with one "T") 'cos I like him.Come what may, through thick and thin--so onwards and upwards, Scar.
  2. Stevico1 I did not say that you were not entitled to your opinion just because you have only posted five times. That would be ridiculous and obviously in this context you do not know or understand Scarlet (with one "T" please) very well either. What I was inferring is that if you want to attack another poster personally, instead of passing your opinion on events, at least show how smart you are by getting to know him well first. And if you have been on this forum for much longer what was your former user name and why did you give it up in favour of another name? Nothing to hide or be afraid of have you? :014:

The most outstanding character manager in the SPL at present. It 's like opening the floodgates when asked a question by the BBC commentator. Not like some who say,e.g. "er we were in the ascendancy in the first half and should have won. " or "We wuz robbed, it was a lucky bounce etc" He pours his honest heart out and calls it exactly as he sees it. Rarely says a bad word against the other team but roundly criticises his own players when he "hinks" it is merited. Down to earth, voluble, honest and passionate about his football and team. Gotta love him.... With him in charge you can rest assured that the entertainment value would go up and the crowds would also rise I "hink". Go John go. :022:
  4. IHE--3930 posts. Stevico1--5 posts. Stevico--do you think it is time for you to think before you speak or is the expression of your opinion on IHE too important to miss? :023:
  5. Johndo--your juxtaposition was just right. :clapping03:
  6. I feel a bit sorry for Marius Niculae. From all accounts he has really been trying of late and he seems to be playing with poor partners or tactics and maybe he should be playing with a better quality team. But who would be interested in him in the SPL?Any dreams that the ICT Board may have of getting a half million pounds for Marius must be fading fast. Robbo--cannot go back, bad move. The only significant track record that he seems to have is at ICT. His confidence must also be low. Other than that Brewster will not be fired--he may resign with a hefty wallet in his jeans but the Board will not admit they may have made a mistake. Another Pimple Prognostication and I feel that IHE is about to speak. :016: ......?
  7. Buckett--you are still alive.... Wheeeeee! :001:
  8. Robbo--no. Yogi--yes. Passionate, experienced footballer but he would need a big incentive to leave Falkirk.
  9. Confidence shot. Spirit shot. Brew trying to be honest in his interviews and saying virtually nothing that makes anything easier or makes sense. BBC--" When the second Killie goal went in the Caley heads went down".. Holy Moly should the players' not have got angry and the attached bodies more energetic instead? From afar it seems as if the ship is rudderless, the masts are in shreds, so are the sails and the crew are directionless such that the shipis fast approaching the speedy rapids. No pun intended. My heart is in my mouth every Saturday. This must be a very depressed club at this time. I am quitting whilst I am ahead. Least said, soonest mended I fear. One thing is certain if Mr Craig Brewster is asked to leave or quits I think his Managerial career is over. And that must also be weighing heavily on the minds of Management. But what about the club? Who is going to come to ICT now? Oh jeez, I was going to quit...... :029: Glad I am not a fly on the wall of the Boardroom--I would be even more depressed probably.
  10. I say, chaps, if old Scarlet can make it to Tulloch in the fall will you allow him into Section G. ? Sounds like a jolly jape! :016:
  11. Birdog--many a word spoken in jest......... :023:
  12. Brewster's actions sound like some kind of get- off- the -hook story. It looks as if he is saying that because Dennis had a poor game the day after he was supposed to sign his contract that gave Brewster the reason or right to suspend the deal. To put it crudely that is a load of absolute baloney. 1. One poor game does not entitle the player to be treated this way unless , as I think was the case, you were looking for an excuse to walk away from the deal. No player is perfect. 2. A deal is a fecking deal Brewster--and if you break it on a spurious excuse then you are not a man to be trusted and your word is not worth much. It's not like the world is heavily populated with people of great character but that does not give you the excuse to act in this way and you are the one under the spotlight, nobody else, in this situation. In a public Management position such as yours if you don't keep your word you can do yourself a lot of harm. People can forgive a man for not having the ability to Manage but dishonouring an Agreement is a different matter, especiually a petty reason. And a deal does not have to be in writing to be a deal. This is very poor form Mr Brewster. No wonder Dennis is disillusioned.I don't blame him for wanting to get out as soon as possible. 3. Now you have publicly demonstrated that your word is not to be trusted how do you expect to have the faith and trust of the other players? To be blunt, it may not happen tomorrow, but I feel that your days at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium are now numbered. You are done and dusted and frankly I am sad about it because I am all for giving a guy a fair shake. :finger02:
  13. In view of what you say, Scotty, which puts a new complexion on it, it looks like I should have taken the time to read the whole thread and got hold of the wrong end of the stick. So my apologies for that. Dennis is right to be aggrieved and I understand your anger. :cry04:
  14. What an amusing thought--a very highly paid player being rested the club paying his wages who themselves are close to a desperate situation in so far as the slide down the table could get worse by the minute in order to allow him to be fit for an International (friendly?)match in a far away land.? Heh! The man who pays the piper calls the tune and frankly, this is a no-brainer. :029: #@###@@#&*(#++!@25437568 !!!!!
  15. And I think that Mann is the Mann for the Job but I am seriously wondering if Craig Brewster is I regret to say. Nothing against his footballing record, wonderful performer, but he really is an inexperienced Manager and does he have the capacity to be a tremendous inspirational leader in the relative short term or......ever? I am not going to touch that one with a long pole because........I am only a Pimple and if you want to squeeze me you can only find me on the Yellowhead Highway in Northern Canada. :016: :cdn:
  16. Mr Mileson's financial input into Gretna appears to have come to a grinding halt and this despite his undoubted love for the club etc. He certainly put in a huge share and did his bit but a lost cause can not be supported indefinitely. The point? Simply that where a project is bleeding money and always the hands are out pleading for large handouts to keep it afloat even the most loving patron cannot be expected to put up with this situation forever.Patience wears thin and rarely is a businessman so philanthropic and rich (unless you are Bill Gates) as to view this situation as normal and sustainable. The word used by Mr Sutherland in Charles' commentary is "sustainability" and I predict that , within one to two years only, he will withdraw his financial help unless the club bucks up and starts to do very well--which, at the moment, seems a long shot at best. Scary stuff. :007: :024:
  17. If Dennis was offered a contract then ICT must have thought what he had done prior to this as meriting one. If he was offered terms up to a certain date and Dennis did not sign, regardless whether his agent fell down on the job and failed to produce the document on time, it is unlikely that Dennis has any legal recourse. The courts cannot take into account the stupidity of agents who do not regard the importance of getting the contract to the player on time as a professional imperative. Wyness should fire an agent who allows that to happen--what about faxes or email ;does the agent not have a computer? The whole thing is like watching Fred Karno's army. We simply don't appear to know why, in such a circumstance, ICT did not agree to hold the signing over for a couple of days--maybe it was a blessing in disguise for them because maybe they felt that Dennis should and could have signed before the deadline and were exasperated by things he had said or delaying tactics he may have used or ...this...or that.. and both sides of the story must be heard before a verdict on the affair can fairly be reached. But it sure looks like they were a bit fed up with him for whatever reason (agent playing too many games perhaps?)and decided that enough is enough and bring out the hardball . Bit of a farce all round..... :018:
  18. The scores thing is interesting but the last time I got involved with Footy Live or Live Footy I found that nothing worked. Better be careful about getting involved here. :029: But thanks Birdog for trying to help. Usually I find a way to see what is going on by teletext or access the matchday thread on this site which is far more interesting . :002:
  19. And we are reliably informed that IHE will drop a thin veil every week until week 7 when it will be all done and dusted anyway! :015:
  20. Well just relax because I have a think tae masel that with water always finding it's own level the situation will sort itself out sooner rather than later and I don't want to alarm youse but I am not too positive about the eventual outcome based on current attitudes and events. Maybe a drop for a season would be a good thing since lower wages would sort out the ones who really wanted to play for the team and a return to the SPL would allow ICT to AGAIN set a limit to the wages that thay could afford to pay and AGAIN bring parity to all. Which, in all conscience, would not be a bad thing since the current excesses do not appear to have got the desired results or balance or happiness amongst anyone. Water will find it's own level.... :023:
  21. Absolutely--bring on Rory and all the other younsters. You just never know what might happen.... :022:
  22. IHE--if you are abot to tell us what is wrong please get on with it--the suspense is..... :016:
  23. And if Brewster is fired who will ICT attract? A mature experienced Manager? Not without a fortune being offered. And have the Board not tried that with one of the players and got only mixed results. Thirdly maybe a younger less experienced Manager but one who has the drive and passion ? So , in this case, how long should he be given to find his feet, get the experience under the belt and be a strong hand on the tiller? Would that time be long enough to allow ICT to avoid relegation? Well, that's a doubtful one for sure. :024: My prediction anyway is that Brew will NOT be fired--he will be given another chance for next season, which , all things considered might also be the fair thing to do --unless ICT lose all the remaining matches of course when the calls for his head will be strident. The one nagging factor in all this which worries me is whether the suggestion that he may be a yes man as part of his contract and or ,as a result, part of the devisive politics behind the scenes and so forth is true. Which if true means that he is not hios own man and the situation will definitely get worse befiore it gets better. So I really do wish that those of the punters on here who have mentioned this stuff as being a problem would come right out in the open and tell us all what their take on this is , in detail. I predict, however, that this will not happen and the fans will drift away from the Tulloch until a radical re-think takes place . In fact the trend now is so obvious, accentuated by the apparent lack of confidence in the players, that I think it is all probably going to get worse before it gets better. Go on, tell old Scarlet he is wrong. I want to hear your views. :007:
  24. Caley D -my sentiments exactly. Give the youngsters a chance. After all what other resources does ICT have for the future.? :029:
  25. Looks like us overseas fellas will have to go back to our well-worn non-existent audio broadcasts. Oops --I did hear the last few moments of yesterday's match because I did not know/expect it was even being broadcast. Sigh...moving right along :023:
