  1. Maybe one of the 52 defenders we signed in January is actually a secret goal scorer? We're absolutely done for now. No chance we're overhauling any of the sides above us to get away from 9th. Everyone else has been capable of going on short bursts of form to get away from danger whilst we draw and draw and the manager is, bizarrely, delighted with this seemingly oblivious to our increasingly precarious situation. The board getting starstruck when hearing Ferguson was available looks like it'll haunt us for many years to come.
  2. He's on a three year deal and there are rumours his salary is being (partly) covered by a director Niculae style.
  3. Ayr uploaded highlights yesterday.
  4. If we get relegated with Large Duncan in charge I'd also say that could be the end of his managerial career.
  5. They obviously cannot say more than that otherwise it would (further?) prejudice the determination of the application before HC.
  6. Signing more defenders will help IMO.
  7. The DPEA generally has no issue overturning decisions at a local scale provided there is justification for doing so. The concern would be if the DPEA dismissed an appeal and the club were minded to take it to the Court of Session then the chances of success there would be slim to none. Very few decisions by the DPEA get overturned in the courts.
  8. Yeah that final paragraph is an embarrassing inclusion. Suspect someone bundled that on at the end but it's not overly helpful. The rest of it is a bit better in that it at least focuses on planning matters rather than petty point scoring.
  9. He struggled to get game time because he was, according to some Forfar fans, one of the worst players they have ever seen and described as a "dumpling" by others. This is a very bizarre move.
  10. Surely an appeal to the DPEA doesn't really need input from a KC?
  11. Glancy was a loan signing! https://www.thefreelibrary.com/Mart%3A+Caley+can+end+my+Sons+agony.-a060364084
  12. Ah yeah just checked and he was a permanent signing. Was sure he was a loan first then signed like Wyness. Ho hum.
  13. In terms of raw talent loaning Scott Allan and Ryan Christie are probably up there as the best players we've loaned. Thinking about popular players in on loan I recall Martin Glancy being a bit of a fan favourite ("He's short, but he's fancy").
  14. I'd be surprised. The Courier and P & J largely regurgitate the same information already available in the public domain then have the cheek to stick it behind a paywall.
  15. Presumably the meeting has been arranged to try and get fans onside and distract from the ludicrous position that we are in where a battery energy storage scheme is critical to the future of the football club.
  16. Maybe we can still give Imrie the job before 1459 tomorrow.
  17. Still find it bizarre we signed about 18 defenders in January when our defence wasn't that much of a concern and did precious little to strengthen our attacking options when we were so piss weak up front.
  18. Harper probably in midfield for this one? Anyway, I fancy us here. ICT 2 - 0 Dunfermline. Danny Devine hat trick.
  19. The Caley thank you very much.
  20. A spell in League One will only be good if you enjoy the thought of us going part time.
  21. For a long time I'd always said we'd be just as bad if not worse under Dodds. His recruitment in the summer was honking. However, the last couple of months and some truly bizarre recruitment in January makes it very, very hard to stick with the same opinion I had before.
  22. Massive questions should be getting asked of Ferguson now.
  23. No PPV but they have a dedicated commentary offering.
  24. The club and ILI are / were clearly working very much 'hand in glove' on this so I'd be staggered if they didn't have some kind of input into the selection of the planning consultants behind the application. Whilst the application was approved it was, again, recommended for refusal because all of the concerns flagged by the planning department hadn't been addressed. FWIW I hope it is approved as the club desperately needs the money but this could have gone a lot better.
  25. They didn't really though. They submitted a shoddy application to begin with and didn't address all the points of concern (loss of green space) when handing in the extra info. That said, it's still a bizarre situation and Highland Council still come across as pretty inept.
